Happened to see their ad, on this sale happening on the day I took my birthday leave so after a lunch treat for my parents, off I go for Luxasia Warehouse sale at Tai Seng. 

Tips to note for warehouse sales :

- check expiry dates if you can commit to emptying the product within the deadline. 

- wear light and carry light as it can get stuffy when in crowds and your bag will be secured with a cable tie. 

- if you are a skinholic like me, it is helpful to have a list of products that you currently have, so that you don't end up buying duplicates or more than what you can use up. 

This is the least amount spent among the last few Luxasia warehouse sales I have been to. They have lesser skincare and makeup with fewer brands than previous years but more perfumes on offer.

I just emptied Dermalogica Invisible Physical Defense SPF 30 and Dermalogica Skin Perfect Primer SPF30 not too long ago and decided to try this sample sized Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Firm Eye Cream which I received from my regular facial salon.

[ Review ] Lindsay Modeling Mask Cup Pack

 

I purchased several variants of the Lindsay Modeling Mask Cup Pack when I was in Korea last year, after hearing good things about it and being HwaHae Award-winning K-Beauty product! It was also being recorded as No. 1 in sales and No. 2 in customer satisfaction at Olive Young and duty-free shops. 

Adding on, I had good experiences with past modeling masks like Reverie Touch Rosy Glow Rubber Mask, Reverie Touch Green Tea Rubber Mask and Cellxv Peel-Off Modelling Mask. 

Lindsay masks are an advanced version compared to regular sheet masks and have been used in most Korean skin spas and skincare shops. Major ingredient of the rubber masks 'Alginate', transforms from a powder type into a gel texture when mixed with water.

Lindsay, the pioneers of modeling masks are the preferred choice of dermatologists! This innovative range of modeling masks prioritize skin health with its dual-action approach. Firstly, they deeply moisturize and nourish the skin, thanks to a unique vacuum-sealing technique that enhances ingredient absorption. Lindsay Modeling Mask Cup Pack is a powder mask, formed by mixing Diatomaceous Earth (sea plant deposits/soil), Glucose (vegetable moisturising ingredients), and Algin (Alginate) extracted from seaweed; subsequently mixed with water or essence turning into a dough. When this mixture is kneaded with water, it transforms into a gel-like state and gradually solidifies into a rubbery texture, hence its common name, a rubber pack.

Each of the variant is provided in a cup type packaging with an inclusive spatula makes it easy to use. 

How To Use :

1) Open the lid of the Cup Pack to access the powder inside.

2) Use the spatula's “cup side” to add 7-8 spoonfuls of cold water to the powder. Take care to pour and mix simultaneously and to avoid pouring excessive water.

3) Use the spatula's “handle side” to mix the powder and water thoroughly until it forms a thick, smooth paste.

4) Evenly apply the mask pack over your face using the spatula's handle side, ensuring complete coverage.

5) Allow the mask to set for about 15 minutes (or until dry), then gently peel it off. Use cotton pads or toner to remove any residues, if necessary.

6) Finish by applying your favorite moisturizing products to lock-in hydration and complete your skincare routine.

7) Can be used once daily or as and when necessary.

8) One mask cup is ideally for one use, but if you want to use one cup multiple times, store the remaining contents in a cool place, and in an airtight container.

9) Can mix and match multiple Lindsay Masks for one time use to tackle different skin concerns at once

Lindsay Pearl Modeling Mask Cup Pack contains pearl powder, which helps cultivate skin nutrition and brighten and clear skin. It provides a brightening effect, revealing instant brightening effects and supplying nutrients to the skin.

Benefit : Provides nutrition and brightening effects to brighten dull skin and display a healthy glow. 

Peel off the lid of the modeling mask cup pack but mine was pretty tight, so I ended up cutting it open. Inside, you’ll find the powder ready to be mixed. The instructions recommend adding 7 spoonfuls of cold water, but I used 8 spoonfuls instead, as the mixture was still too thick and had some dry powder left when using only seven.

Physical sunscreens, also known as mineral sunscreens have become a go-to choice for those with sensitive or acne-prone skin. Unlike chemical sunscreens that absorb UV rays, physical sunscreens work by forming a protective barrier on the skin’s surface that reflects and scatters harmful UVA and UVB rays.

Formulated with minerals like Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide, physical sunscreens are often praised for being gentle, non-irritating, and effective immediately upon application although they have a dreary white cast.

I decided to redeem the Dermalogica Invisible Physical Defense SPF 30 using my credit voucher after signing up for a facial package at AsterSpring. Having recently finished both the Dermalogica Circular Hydration Serum and Dermalogica Skin Perfect Primer SPF 30, I was curious to see how this sunscreen would perform alongside my other physical/mineral sunscreens. 

I always keep a physical sunscreen in my arsenal especially for morning exercises or long walks under the sun. My recent go-to physical sunscreens were the Foretderm Derma Relief Vegan Suncream and Klairs All-day Airy Mineral Sunscreen, both of which I’ve already emptied.

When the skin lacks moisture, it can appear rough, tight, or flaky, and may even become more prone to sensitivity and premature aging. Incorporating hydrating skincare such as sheet masks enriched with humectants like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and panthenol help to replenish moisture levels and reinforce the skin barrier. These formulas can deliver an intensive boost of hydration, leaving the skin feeling supple, balanced, and more resilient.

This is my 2nd mask variant from Dr. Satin. The brand focuses on dermatologist-formulated skincare using marine ingredients, vitamins, and biotech extracts. Their products aim for medical-grade results but with gentle, everyday use.

How To Use:

Apply a hazelnut sized amount on washed and towel-dried hair. Massage through mid-lengths and ends, avoiding roots to ensure lightweight volume. Leave in for 2 to 3 minutes. Emulsify and rinse thoroughly.

I received a 30ml travel sized of Kerastase Blond Absolu Cicaflash Conditioner from my aunt which was actually my first time trying out this brand. Despite my initial low expectations, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed using it.

I first came across this sunscreen in Tangs Singapore but wasn't intrigued enough to purchase it, however when I was in Korea Olive Young last year, the packaging that states it has been the #1 sunscreen at Olive Young and a proud winner in the Sunscreen Category at Olive Young Awards for 6 years in a row made me purchase it instantly. 

Established in 2001, Cell Fusion C is a clinic-based skin care brand based in South Korea that originally provided skin solutions to healthcare providers. The brand eventually expanded its reach to general consumers by developing research-backed solutions for various skin concerns, like pH imbalance in skin. Hair loss shampoos are specially formulated to go beyond basic cleansing. I was happy to see no strands shedding during rinsing, though some still fell out while blow-drying. After use, my hair felt thoroughly cleansed, fresh, soft, and bouncy. Overall, it provided a soothing scalp experience and a clean finish, making it a nice step in my routine compared to regular shampoos.

[ Review ] Sabon Delicate Jasmine Body Scrub

Our skin naturally sheds dead cells every day, but as we age or when skin turnover slows, buildup can leave the surface feeling rough, dull, and uneven. That’s where body scrubs come in. After emptying Sabon Green Rose Body Scrub, it was time to try out the Delicate Jasmine variant, which I purchased during a sale. 

I didn't like the Delicate Jasmine hand cream when I tried it back in 2019 but was pleasantly surprised that the scent was subtle in the body scrub. 

Top notes: Bergamot | Middle notes: Ylang-ylang, Jasmine, Rose, Lily of the Valley | Base notes: Vanilla, Musk

Housed in a similar charming glass jar with a metal cap and rustic green paper detailing like Sabon Green Rose Body Scrub, the mixture of salt and oils makes it a lovely soft scrub with a hint of abrasion ( may not be ideal for sensitive skin types ) that left my body soft and smooth.

Magnesium : Soothing and healing, improves skin barrier function, boosts hydration levels, and enhances skin metabolism.

Potassium : Natural moisturizer with antibacterial powers.

Organic Sweet Almond Oil : Rice in Vitamin A and essential fatty acids. Soften and smooth effect on the skin.

Organic Argan Oil : Rich in Vitamin E and essential Fatty Acids. Nourishes, fortifies and repairs the skin

Organic Jojoba Oil : Promotes skin-soothing. Boost skin hydration.

After emptying AHC Premium Hydra Gold Foil Eye Mask and Goodal Green Tangerine Vita-C Eye Gel Patch, it was time to try out Everyyou Retinol Manaza Sheet Eye Mask which I purchased during my Taiwan trip last year. 

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Made in Japan, the Everyyou Retinol Manaza Sheet Eye Mask comes packaged in a round tub containing 60 pairs of thin, crescent-shaped masks. I appreciate that it includes a small tweezer for hygienic and easy pick-up. 

This was actually my first time encountering such a generous quantity of eye masks in one pack, making it feel both convenient and value-for-money. Each mask is thoroughly soaked in a gel-based serum, ensuring good adherence to the skin although uneven at times. 

On application, the masks feel refreshing and comfortable. After about 20 minutes, the serum dries down moderately, leaving behind a subtle tightening sensation around the eye area, probably a sign that the product is actively working.

These eye masks can also be used on the laugh lines although I did not use them that way.

To conclude, the Everyyou Retinol Manaza Sheet Eye Mask stands out for its generous supply, hygienic packaging, and serum-soaked formula.
