[ Review ] Numbuzin NAD+BIO Lifting-sil Full Face Mask + Essence

This is my first foray into Numbuzin and I am glad to try out their latest products - Numbuzin Lifting Face Care Set comprising of Numbuzin No. 9 NAD Bio Lifting Full Cover Facial Mask and NAD Bio Lifting Essence, courtesy from Stylekorean

Knowing the customer is at the heart of Korean skin care brand numbuzin. The brand's slogan “What’s Your Number?” represents its mission to find bespoke answers for each person’s skin concerns. Numbuzin responds with the right products, which are named by numbers instead of hard-to-remember names

Numbuzin No. 9 NAD Bio Lifting Full Cover Facial Mask contains 4 individual sheets in a set, including a fabric lifting band. It is clinically proven to improve 6 types of wrinkles (jawline, buccal fat, smile lines, neck, chin, cheek) in just 4 weeks. Said to reduce the appearance of enlarged pores and improve facial puffiness overnight after using the product for 8 hours.

The No. 9 sheet mask is formulated with NAD+, an anti-aging ingredient that boosts cell turnover, stimulates collagen production, and supports skin repair, along with 50 types of peptides to plump and firm the skin. Hydrolyzed collagen and adenosine are also added to effectively target wrinkles and enhance skin elasticity.

[ Review ] Hyaah Synergy Mask Pad

Hyaah Synergy Mask Pad Review
Product Description
Formulated with 90% sea kelp extract sustainably sourced from the clean waters of Wando, Korea, this essence is a powerhouse of marine nourishment. Certified by the Korean FDA for its efficacy in improving pore clarity, density, transparency, and skin elasticity, it delivers visible skin improvements through tested results.

I received a set of Hyaah products as part of a Stylekorean collaboration. They were Mild But Deep Cleansing Water, Licorice First Essence, All In One Ectoin Lotion on top of this Synergy Mask Pad.

Hyaah, pronounced as Hee:YA is a Korean skincare brand which is said to consist of good ingredients, honest processing and continuous research.

As a skincare content creator, I believe in being selective with my collaborations — only those that genuinely align with my skin type, values, and what I feel will truly benefit my skin. This intentional approach not only helps me maintain integrity, but also allows me to create more thoughtful and meaningful content that you can trust.

Stylekorean x Hyaah invited me for a collaboration which I accepted because I need gentle, non-greasy and hydrating products in this humid climate like Singapore, for my combination-dehydrated skin type. Glad that their products do not disappoint, despite being my first foray into the brand.

[ Review ] Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Mask Hydrating Gel

I have previously emptied Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Mask which didn't perform up to my expectation but I am hoping that the rest work well.

[ Review ] T'else Kombucha Teatox Essence

T'else Kombucha Teatox Essence Review
Product Description
T'else Kombucha Teatox Essence is a first-step essence with Kombucha extract to hydrate and soften the skin texture.

I purchased T'else Kombucha Teatox Essence together with Hyggee Vegan Sun CreamHerbloom Calming Days Vegan SunscreenSkin1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun SerumForetderm Derma Relief Vegan Suncream and others, during a sale. The essence wasn't really in my list, as skincare essence isn't an essential for me in my skincare routine.

A first step essence is a specific type of essence used immediately after cleansing—before toner, serum, or moisturizer. It’s designed to be the very first product that touches your skin post-cleanse, hence the name.

These essences are usually lightweight, watery in texture, and packed with fermented ingredients, hydrating agents, or skin-renewing actives. Their primary purpose is to balance the skin's pH, replenish moisture lost during cleansing, and enhance the effectiveness of the rest of your skincare routine by improving absorption.

First step essences are especially popular in Korean skincare routines, where skin prep is essential to achieving that healthy, radiant "glass skin" look. Ideal for all skin types—especially dull, dehydrated, or tired skin—these essences work quietly but powerfully to boost your skin’s vitality from the very first step.

Let’s take a closer look at how T'else Kombucha Teatox Essence performs as a first step essence and whether it lives up to the claims.

[ Review ] Natio Desert Lime + Salt Coffee Scrub

Natio Desert Lime + Salt Coffee Scrub Review
Product Description
Reveal softer, smoother skin with this energising scrub, enriched with the unique and potent goodness of native Australian plants. Natural Salt and Coffee granules delicately buff away dull surface skin and impurities; native Australian antioxidant super fruit Desert Lime brightens and protects for radiant skin.

I purchased Natio Desert Lime + Salt Coffee Scrub from BHG (Junction 8) Closing Down Sale recently. Natio products like Rosewater Drench Mineral Face Mist and Ageless Hydrating Mask didn't work particularly well for me previously but I still couldn't resist the chance to when my eyes laid upon a coffee body scrub.

How To Use
Gently massage onto clean, damp skin. Rinse clean with warm water.

The salt coffee body scrub, packaged in a generous 300g sturdy jar makes scooping out the product convenient.

Natio Desert Lime + Salt Coffee Scrub Appearance

However, my first impression left me slightly disappointed—the scrub felt very dry right from the top, and I assumed the texture would improve as I dug deeper. Unfortunately, the dryness was consistent throughout the jar, which made application less enjoyable.

Despite the dry texture, I went ahead and used it on my body twice a week after exercise, like a post-workout exfoliation. The scrub was definitely abrasive, but that also meant it effectively sloughed off dead skin, leaving my body feeling noticeably softer and smoother after rinsing.

As for the scent, while it’s marketed as a coffee scrub, the fragrance was extremely subtle—you’d have to bring your nose close to the jar to detect it, which may be a letdown for those who enjoy aromatic body care products.

If you're looking for a gritty, no-frills exfoliator, this might work for you—especially if you like a bit of intensity in your scrubs. But if you prefer a more hydrating, sensorial experience, this one might fall short.

The key ingredients are...
Desert Lime, Salt, Coffee, Olive, Sweet Almond, Shea Butter and Coconut.

Sodium Chloride (Salt), Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Powder, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Citrus Glauca (Desert Lime) Fruit Extract, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Oil, Caprylic-Capric Triglyceride (Coconut).

Conclusion

To conclude, while  Natio Desert Lime + Salt Coffee Scrub delivers on its promise of smoother skin through effective exfoliation, the overly dry texture and barely-there fragrance may not appeal to everyone—especially those who prefer a more luxurious or hydrating scrub experience. It’s a decent option if you’re after a budget-friendly, hard-working exfoliator, but I’d recommend using it gently and following up with a nourishing body lotion to replenish moisture. If scent and texture matter to your routine, you may want to explore other options.

[ Review ] Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask

Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask Review

Product Description
Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask is an ultra-gentle gel that helps soothe, hydrate, and detoxify the look of dry, irritated skin with botanical extracts of cucumber, papaya, chamomile, pineapple, sugar maple, sugarcane, orange, lemon, bilberry, and aloe vera. It’s ideal for helping to calm and soothe the skin's appearance after sun exposure, peels, waxing, facials, and extractions.

After emptying Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Mask, it is time to try out Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask which unfortunately, was another disappointment. I received 5 x 14ml Peter Thomas Roth masks as a Christmas gift some time back which is available on Sephora during the Christmas period.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

The one in my arsenal is a 14ml travel sized tube and I also bought a 50ml size a few months later, when it was on sale, when I was running out of rinse-off masks.

Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask Texture

It has a light cucumber scent mixed with some fragrance. The light green gel texture has a cooling and refreshing sensation upon application on skin.

How To Use :
1) Apply a generous coat on clean skin.
2) Allow mask to remain on for 10 minutes.
3) Rinse with cool water.

Tip : Use two to three times a week or daily for intensive hydration.

Performance and Ingredients

Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask is marketed as an ultra-gentle, refreshing gel mask designed to soothe, hydrate, and detoxify dry, irritated skin using a blend of botanical extracts. With its cooling texture and calming ingredients, I had high hopes—especially given how often my skin craves hydration and relief from environmental stress.

Upon application, the mask does deliver a refreshing, cooling sensation, which initially feels promising. However, that’s where the benefits ended for me. I didn’t experience any noticeable soothing effect, and surprisingly, it didn’t hydrate my skin at all. The gel absorbed quickly into my skin, almost disappearing within minutes, but left behind a slight taut feeling—particularly around my philtrum (the area between the nose and upper lip), which was a bit uncomfortable.

After rinsing off the mask, my skin felt virtually unchanged. My skin texture, especially on the nose, remained rough and dehydrated. Unfortunately, the mask didn’t deliver the results I was looking for, and I was left disappointed—especially considering the price point of the 50ml purchase.

Overall, while this mask might work for someone with very sensitive or reactive skin looking for a barely-there treatment, it was simply too gentle for what my skin needed. I’ll be reaching for something more hydrating and restorative next time.

The key ingredients are....

Cucumber Extract : Helps nourish, hydrate, comfort, soothe, calm and de-puff the appearance of skin.

Papaya Extract : Rich in vitamins, this natural enzyme helps soften the appearance of skin.

Chamomile Extract : A natural flower extract that helps comfort and soothe the look of skin.

Water, Butylene Glycol, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract, Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit/Leaf Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Fruit Extract, Sodium Pca, Allantoin, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Disodium Edta, Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Polysorbate 20, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol, Yellow 5 (Ci 19140), Blue 1 (Ci 42090)

Conclusion

To conclude, while Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask offers a refreshing, cooling application, it ultimately fell short of its claims—for my skin, at least. It neither soothed nor hydrated effectively, and the lack of visible results left me underwhelmed. This mask may suit those with very sensitive or non-dehydrated skin looking for a light, calming treatment, but for skin in need of deeper hydration and noticeable soothing benefits, it may be too gentle to make a real difference.

[ Review ] L'Occitane Rose Multipurpose Fresh Mist

Refresh your skin and hair with the elegant perfume of Rose Mist from L'Occitane Rose Multipurpose Fresh Mist. Enriched with Rosa Centifolia floral water from Provence, this gentle mist moisturizes, helps refresh and perfumes delicately the skin and hair with a floral, feminine scent. For a sweet and velvety skin and smooth and silky hair.

My team colleague gifted L'Occitane Rose Multipurpose Fresh Mist, together with a hand cream as a birthday gift to me, which was such a sweet gesture that I appreciate.

Currently using their Cherry Blossom Hand Cream in office, my last 2 experiences were on L'Occitane Immortelle Divine CreamL'Occitane Immortelle Reset Serum and L'Occitane Precious Overnight Mask.

If you are interested in L'Occitane products, one way to try out more of their products is to participate in their recycling program where you get to try some of their travel-sized products after sending in some empties for recycling. It is a win-win situation for both sides and I hope more brands will do that.

After experiencing their Relaxing Pillow Mist via the recycling program, I started buying it for myself and others as Christmas gifts.

Founded in 1976 in the heart of Provence, France, L’Occitane en Provence is a globally beloved beauty brand known for its commitment to natural ingredients, sustainable practices, and luxurious self-care rituals. Drawing inspiration from the rich landscapes and traditional crafts of southern France, L’Occitane formulates its products with high-quality, plant-based ingredients—like shea butter, almond, lavender, and immortelle—sourced through fair trade and eco-conscious partnerships. Whether it's skincare, body care, or fragrance, every product is designed to evoke the warmth and beauty of Provence while delivering effective results and a sensorial experience.

[ Review ] Miguhara Daily Herb Sun Stick

Product Description
Fitted with SPF 50+ PA++++, Miguhara Daily Herb Sun Stick is a lightweight sun stick that fends off UV rays while soothing skin with natural herbs like lavender, rosemary and chamomile extracts. Balm-like texture leaves a non-sticky and refreshing finish with no white cast. The gentle formula is suitable for sensitive skin.

I received Miguhara Daily Herb Sun Stick SPF 50+ PA++++ as part of a Stylekorean collaboration. This is my first foray into the brand.

Established in 2013, Korean brand MIGUHARA believes in the power of Mother Nature to enhance beauty. Through extensive research and development, MIGUHARA develops safe and efficacious skin care and make up products from natural, plant-based ingredients to promote skin regeneration and maintain healthy skin.

When it comes to sun protection, more really is more. While a good sunscreen is non-negotiable in any skincare routine, I’ve recently added a new step that’s made a noticeable difference—applying a sun stick as a primer before my regular sunscreen. At first, it might sound like overkill, but layering sun protection doesn’t just boost effectiveness; it also helps ensure better coverage, especially on days when I’m out and about.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Miguhara Daily Herb Sun Stick is a 20g product with a sleek compact packaging designed for portability and ease of use. Housed in a twist-up tube —similar to a deodorant stick or oversized lip balm—they fit comfortably in the palm of your hand and slide easily into any purse, pocket, or makeup bag. It has a snap-on cover, with a clear plastic lid for hygiene and accidental mess.

It has a soapy perfume-like fragrance which I rather do without, if given an option but thankfully, its not overpowering. The balm texture has a glowy finishing.

[ Review ] Sigi Skin Daylight Oasis Vitamin C Brightening Serum

Sigi Skin Daylight Oasis Review

Product Description
Sigi Skin Daylight Oasis Vitamin C Brightening Serum is a Vitamin C serum dedicated to boost skin radiancy, visibly brightens, helps firm, and dramatically diminishes fine lines and wrinkles while minimising pore size! Thoughtfully formulated with an optimal 15% L-Ascorbic Acid, exosomes - which are rare in the market, and with a blend of more clinically proven ingredients like resveratrol, fucoidan, turmeric, copper tripeptide growth factor, and Vitamin E, Daylight Oasis is on-route to be your skincare must have!

Benefits :
- Brightens complexion
- Fade dark spots and reduce hyperpigmentation
- Improves skin texture

Sigi Skin is a local skincare brand which I have been eyeing for awhile and after purchasing its popular sunscreen (which I have yet to open), I purchased its Acne Rescue Kit where Sigi Skin Daylight Oasis Vitamin C Brightening Serum comes free. It was given free, as the serum was expiring in 3 months time but it wasn't mentioned during the product listing (which was such a shame).

According to its website, Sigi Skin is a local award-winning skincare brand dedicated to delivering superfood infused with clinically proven actives skincare products that are both effective and free of toxins. Powered by a combination of carefully curated superfood and scientifically proven ingredients, the products are multi-purpose, protecting skin and repairing damage caused by pollution and environmental stressors. Vegan, cruelty-free and made in Korea.

I loved supporting local brands and if you are curious about other Singaporean brands, here are some brands which I have reviewed before - Allies of Skin, L/chemy, Solyph, Pine & Co, PHS Hairscience, Yours, Skin Inc, Dr. GL, Estetica, Handmade Heroes, The Verdant Lab and more.

[ Review ] AHC Premium Hydra Gold Foil Eye Mask

AHC Premium Hydra Gold Foil Eye Mask Review

Product Description
AHC Premium Hydra Gold Foil Eye Mask is a comprehensive anti-aging treatment that cares for the skin around the eyes. It moisturizes, tightens, brightens and reduces dark circles, eliminates puffiness, soothes and softens the skin.

After emptying Dermatory Retinal Eye Patch and Goodal Green Tangerine Vita-C Eye Gel Patch, it is time to try out AHC Premium Hydra Gold Foil Eye Mask which I purchased during my last Korea trip.

Cosmeceutical brand A.H.C (Aesthetics Hydration Cosmetics) was launched in 1999 by Carver Korea Ltd. and is the sister brand to Korean cosmetics labels Shara Shara, VIVITO, and Dr. MJ. Using only natural plant-based ingredients, A.H.C transforms skin to its optimum condition from deep within through a holistic range of hydrating skincare products. The luxury brand offers targeted solutions for aging, dryness, blemishes and discoloration that can be applied to sensitive, oily and trouble-prone skin.

This is my first foray into the brand, despite hearing so much about its cult eye cream.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

AHC Premium Hydra Gold Foil Eye Mask comes in a box of 5 individually packed eye masks. Each packed eye mask is enveloped within a clear plastic packaging. The fabric-like material is thin and comfortable, leaving a refreshing sensation upon layering on the undereye area. There is a light fragrance.

How To Use
1) After cleansing and toning, apply the mask to the eye area for 15-20 minutes.
2) Remove the mask and gently pat the essence in to absorb.
3) Continue with your routine.

Performance and Ingredients

AHC Premium Hydra Gold Foil Eye Mask Material

Cruelty-free and free of parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, and synthetic fragrance. AHC Premium Hydra Gold Foil Eye Mask is suitable for morning and express care as it quickly tones the skin, smoothens it, refreshes and improves its condition, eliminating traces of fatigue and stress.

The delicate fabric base of the mask consists of three layers that perfectly allow air to pass through and effectively transport the active ingredients of the essence to the epidermis. The mask fits tightly to the skin and does not leave a sticky film after use.

Shaped like a cat-eye, this 24-karat gold fabric-like material is thin and soft, leaving a comfortable and refreshing sensation upon layering on the eye area. The generous size meant it can cover both the upper and lower eye area.

I usually prefer to layer it for up to an hour before removing the eye mask. It left my eye area looking more rested and less tired.

The key ingredients are...

24-karat Gold : Improves skin turgor, combats the effects of UV radiation and helps other ingredients penetrate deeper.

Hydrolyzed Collagen : increases hydration levels, stimulates the production of elastin and collagen, and maintains healthy and youthful skin.

Adenosine : Stimulates the production of procollagen-1, which is responsible for density, elasticity and the absence of wrinkles.

Niacinamide (vitamin B3) : Lightens the skin by suppressing the production of the pigment melanin and normalizes the functioning of the sebaceous glands.

Tranexamic Acid : Blocks the enzyme that triggers the synthesis of melanin - tyrosinase. Does not cause photosensitivity, so the mask can be used in the summer.

Trehalose : Slows down aging, fights oxidative stress, preventing cell destruction by free radicals.

Hyaluronic Acid: Hydrates skin to help diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

AHC Premium Hydra Gold Foil Eye Mask Ingredients

Conclusion

To conclude, The AHC Premium Hydra Gold Foil Eye Mask is a thoughtful option for those looking to refresh tired eyes with a quick, pampering treatment. With its cruelty-free formulation and absence of parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, and synthetic fragrance, it’s gentle on the skin and suitable for sensitive users. The unique cat-eye shape and ultra-thin, breathable fabric ensure a snug yet comfortable fit, delivering a cooling, de-puffing effect that’s perfect for morning use or whenever your eyes need a pick-me-up.

While results are temporary, the immediate smoothing and revitalizing effect make it a lovely self-care treat—especially before special occasions or after a long day. If you’re seeking an eye mask for puffiness, tired eyes, or express care, this gold foil mask might just earn a spot in your skincare stash.

[ Review ] L'oreal Absolut Repair Conditioner

L'oreal Absolut Repair Conditioner Review

Product Description
Absolut Repair Conditioner offers the ultimate professional resurfacing experience for damaged and dry hair. The resurfacing conditioner helps to visibly resurface damaged hair with a very light and soft touch, treats and detangles without weighing the hair down.

It’s been over a decade since I last used a L'Oréal hair product, so when my aunt gifted me the L'Oréal Absolut Repair Conditioner, I was curious—and a little nostalgic. For the last 2 years, I relied mostly on weekly deep conditioning masks, rarely reaching for a regular conditioner. But ever since monthly hair coloring became a must (hello, stubborn greys), a moisturizing conditioner has become non-negotiable in my routine.

On normal days, I didn’t notice a dramatic change when using this conditioner. But after a fresh hair coloring session? The difference was night and day. My usually dry, straw-like post-color hair felt soft, smooth, and pudding-like—yes, that silky. Even better, it didn’t trigger any scalp flakiness, which is something I’ve often struggled with after coloring.

The L'Oréal Absolut Repair Conditioner has a rich, creamy texture that spreads easily and rinses out without leaving any greasy residue. It detangles effortlessly and treats dry ends without weighing down the hair. Formulated with Quinoa + Protein, this conditioner claims to reduce hair surface damage by 77% and leave hair 7x shinier.

Ideal for damaged and weakened hair, this conditioner delivers on:

✔️ Instant softness
✔️ Easier detangling
✔️ Nourished, silky strands
✔️ No scalp irritation post-coloring

While it may not be a miracle worker on non-coloring days, it’s definitely a hero product for hair color aftercare—and one I’ll keep around for those times my hair needs extra love.

Final Verdict:
A great go-to conditioner for color-treated hair—especially right after a dye job. If you’re dealing with dryness, dullness, or damage from chemical treatments, this may be just what your hair needs to bounce back.

[ Review ] OC Naturals Berry Bliss Kids 3 in 1 Conditioning Shampoo & Body Wash

OC Naturals Berry Bliss Kids 3 in 1 Conditioning Shampoo & Body Wash Review

Product Description
OC Naturals 3-in-1 Berry Bliss Conditioning Shampoo and Body Wash will have your little ones wanting bath time! The natural, plant-based, gentle shampoo, conditioner and body wash all-in-one is enriched with vitamin E, pro-vitamin B5, raspberry extract and wheat germ oil, and with a gentle, blissfully sweet fragrant formula, it makes it the total cleansing and moisturising package

I purchased OC Naturals Berry Bliss Kids 3 in 1 Conditioning Shampoo & Body Wash sometime back, after falling in love with their body washes. Their body washes worked very well for me, but not the shampoos

This is formulated for children and can be used as a body wash, shampoo and conditioner. I purchased it, thinking it will be gentle for my sensitive skin and scalp.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

OC Naturals Berry Bliss Kids 3 in 1 Conditioning Shampoo & Body Wash is a 400ml sized bottle with a flick top cap. The cap does not function well and cannot be closed fully, causing leakage at times. It has an artificial berry fragrance that may delight children but probably not discerning adults.

How To Use :
Apply to wet hair, form a gentle lather then rinse. Apply to a moist puff or wash cloth & gently lather all over body then rinse.

Performance and Ingredients

I used OC Naturals Berry Bliss Kids 3 in 1 Conditioning Shampoo & Body Wash as a shampoo initially, but it was drying, causing my hair to be straw-like with horrible hair fall that I had to stop after 3 uses.

As a body wash, the gel-like contents felt slightly sticky although it lathers and cleanses well. Not an ideal body wash, shampoo or conditioner and definitely not a repurchase.

I realized it costs 3 times more in Singapore, as compared to buying in Australia, while researching for this post. What a disappointing and expensive purchase!

Water, Coco-Glucoside*, Sodium Coco-Sulfate*, Glycerin*, Lauryl Lactyl Lactate*, Glyceryl Oleate*, Polyquaternium-10*, Fragrance, Triticum, Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Oil, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Panthenol, Citric Acid*, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate*.
*Plant derived.

Conclusion

OC Naturals Berry Bliss Kids 3-in-1 Conditioning Shampoo & Body Wash may come in a fun, fruity scent that appeals to children, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. As a shampoo, it left my hair dry and brittle with noticeable hair fall after just a few uses. While it performs decently as a body wash in terms of lather, the slightly sticky texture and poor packaging—especially the faulty cap that leaks—add to the overall disappointment.

To make matters worse, I later discovered it’s priced nearly three times higher in Singapore compared to Australia, making it a costly and underwhelming purchase. Between the drying formula, ineffective 3-in-1 functionality, and inconvenient packaging, this is one I won’t be repurchasing.

[ Review ] Foretderm Derma Relief Vegan Suncream

Foretderm Derma Relief Vegan Suncream Review
Product Description
Meet the Korean dermatologist-developed mineral sunscreen that's perfect for gentle daily skincare! Foretderm Derma Relief Vegan Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++ is a vegan sunscreen that’s designed for sensitive and easily irritated skin. It's reef-safe and gentle enough even for the most sensitive skin. It applies smoothly like a dream and works effortlessly under makeup and for reapplication.

I first came across this mineral sunscreen after reading about it on Bemused instagram account and was intrigued by it. When there was a sale on their website, I purchased this, together with a few other sunscreens in order to enable the free shipping option.

Korean cosmeceutical brand FORETDERM uses carefully selected natural and safe ingredients to develop gentle but effective skin care. The clean beauty brand also adopts green practices, like eco-friendly product packaging, to minimize its impact on the environment.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Foretderm Derma Relief Vegan Suncream texture

Foretderm Derma Relief Vegan Suncream is a 50ml tube product with a minimalistic vibe. It has a lightweight soft creamy powdery texture with a manageable white cast. There is a subtle sunscreen scent.

How To Use :
After your morning skincare routine, take an appropriate amount and apply it evenly to the face and neck. For effective UV protection, re-apply as needed.

Performance and Ingredients

Noncomedogenic and dermatologically tested, safe for sensitive skin, Foretderm Derma Relief Vegan Suncream is a soft lightweight cream texture that can be spread easily and absorbed quickly by skin with no greasiness. It is free from potentially harmful ingredients like fragrance, colorants and Parabens.

This vegan fragrance-free physical sunscreen enriched with Madecassoside helps to relieve and strengthen skin barrier, while offering SPF50+ PA++++ broad spectrum UV protection. It also contains Panthenol to deliver moisture to skin.

The lightweight soft creamy texture has a non-greasy soft matte finishing with a manageable white cast upon application. After some blending, it gives a soft natural dewy finish.

The key ingredients are....

Madecassoside : Soothes irritated and inflamed skin.

Panthenol : Helps retain moisture and strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier.

Peptide Complex : Stimulates collagen and elastin production.

The only UV filter is Zinc Oxide which is a natural ingredient that forms a protective shield on top of the skin, effectively scattering and reflecting both UVA and UVB rays.

However, do note that it also contains Butyloctyl Salicylate, a chemical UV filter not registered as a sunscreen active yet.

Butyloctyl Salicylate : Helps to increase the SPF rating and enhance the stability of other UV filters like Oxybenzone and Avobenzone. It is not reef-safe. Currently not registered as a sunscreen active yet.
Said to be the modified version of the chemical UV filter Octisalate which was created intentionally by the sunscreen industry to avoid having Octislate on the ingredient listing as a declared active and used by formulators to disguise the presence of a ‘chemical’ UV filter in mineral sunscreen formulas. It is also used to reduce the amount of inorganic mineral filters needed to get a desired labelled SPF and PPD rating.  (source)

Dear Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream Review

Product Description
Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream helps to calm extremely irritated, stressed skin. For oily, acne-prone and sensitive skin types, this cream can also be used to calm sunburnt skin, post-shaving redness and irritation after spot extraction and laser procedures.

The star ingredient in this cream is Guaiazulene, a powerful skin-calming agent extracted from chamomile oil. It's what gives the cream its beautiful blue color. Added to this is Centella, which hydrates skin and relieves irritation and redness. Perfect for daily use, this cream is what you need to keep redness at bay.

I received Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream as part of my 2nd Wishtrend Affiliate collaboration some time back. I get to choose 5 products in return for product reviews and I chose this, as I really like Dear Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Sheet Mask. Unfortunately, the rules for Wishtrend Affiliate has changed recently so I am no longer eligible for it.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Dear Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream Texture

Dear Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream is a 60g product, housed in a black minimalistic plastic tube. The baby blue cream looks so alluring, which is due to the main ingredient, Guaiazulene, a botanical ingredient extracted from Chamomile Oil. The original colour is a deep blue but becomes a cool light blue during the mixing process.

The Calming Cream acts more like a treatment product, rather than a moisturiser. It doesn't have any fragrance.

How To Use
Apply a small amount on the affected area in the morning and evening after using toner and serum.

Tips :
Use partially on your skin when:
1) you are sunburned
2) after shaving
3) on problematic areas or extrusions

Q. Can I use Blue Cream as a daily moisturizer?
A. Applying the cream over the whole face may not provide enough moisturization for dry skin. In that case, we recommend using this cream as a supplement following a moisturizing cream

Performance and Ingredients

Dear Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream

The Midnight Blue Calming Cream is a gentle, azulene-rich cream that provides help to rapidly calm and soothe sensitivity.

My initial experience with this product was a bit underwhelming. I first used it as a daily moisturizer, and while it has a thick, rich texture, it didn’t provide the hydration my skin needed. After a week, I noticed subtle flakiness around my chin and philtrum, and a rough texture developing on my nose. Applying it post-exercise on a hot day also led to a stinging sensation on my cheeks—definitely not ideal.

However, after some trial and error, I discovered its true potential. Rather than using it as a daily moisturizer, I now reserve it as a treatment product for irritated or sensitized skin. On days when my skin reacts poorly like to Hur Cleansing Balms or Sigiskin Vitamin C serum—this product acts as a calming rescue as I will apply it all over the face. It soothes red patches effectively, and by the next morning, my skin looks noticeably calmer and less inflamed. I will continue using it as a moisturizer for the next 3 days until all the redness or irritation spots subsided.

That said, it still lacks the hydration I need, so I always pair it with a more hydrating serum or mask to fully support my skin barrier.

The key ingredients are.....

Guaiazulene : A natural component extracted from Chamomile Oil with powerful calming effects

Centella Asiatica : Often used for healing damaged skins and as an anti-inflammatory agent. Centella Asiatica in this calming cream hydrates the skin and relieves redness.

Conclusion

To conclude, Dear Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream is best used as a skin-soothing treatment rather than a standalone moisturizer—especially helpful for calming irritation and redness, but not quite enough on its own for dry or dehydrated skin.
