[ Review ] Love from Yours Sunny Side Up Sunscreen Mist

Love from Yours Sunny Side Up Sunscreen Mist is a water-based broad-spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen mist that provides all-day protection from sun exposure and blue light. No white cast, no shine, no breakouts. Packed with high protection filters, Soliberine, Vitamin E and Swiss Buddleja flower extract which has anti-ageing and antioxidant properties.

I purchased Yours Sunny Side Up Sunscreen Mist and Yours Eye Love You Eye Serum sometime back, when it was still located in Singapore, however the brand has since closed their Singapore headquarters to focus on international expansion and they only ship products to United States and Australia now. 

Sunscreen is designed to protect your skin from the sun’s most damaging UV rays––Ultraviolet A (UVA) and Ultraviolet B (UVB). These rays are so harmful to your skin, exposure to them can lead to sunburn, pigmentation, wrinkles, early signs of ageing and even skin cancer. A sunscreen with a high SPF (30+) is effective at either absorbing, filtering out, or reflecting these UV rays away from your skin, so you can stay fresh, youthful and glowing.

For me, sunscreen mists are the easiest for re-application, although it might not be the best as one cannot really determine the coverage, however they are more hygienic than a sun stick or a sunscreen powder. 

My last sunscreen mist was Somethinc HOLYSHIELD! UV Watery Sunscreen Shake Mist SPF46 PA++++ but it wasn't the best fit for me as the milky texture tends to leave whitish streaks on the face at times while Supergoop Antioxidant Infused Sunscreen Mist has a pretty strong alcohol scent and it has been discontinued.

After using up The Inkey List Peptide Moisturizer and reserving L/Chemy Ocean for days when my skin requires more intensive moisture, I have been reaching out for Iunik Black Snail Restore Cream on most days. 

I love Iunik products as they never fail me and are always reliable and hydrating without being occlusive. Added this into my Yesstyle cart as this is the only Iunik moisturizer which I have yet to try.

Rovectin Forever Young Biome Ampoule is housed in a 50ml glass dropper bottle with a thick milky texture and a cooling sensation. It has no scent but has a subtle tackiness that took awhile to disappear.

Make P:rem UV Defense Me. Daily Sun Essence is a lightweight sun essence that uses chemical filters to offer SPF 50+ PA++++ sun protection. Organic sunscreen offers ample moisturizing and soothing effects with fructan and City-Proof Complex (containing moringa seed extract). The lightweight formula in a lotion texture absorbs well into skin without leaving a white cast. Hypoallergenic product feels natural and comfortable on skin after application.

Make P:rem products aren't widely reviewed unlike other brands but since I have tried Make P:rem Poncirus Trifoliata C Dark Spot Serum and Make P:rem Comfort Me Air Mask before, it wasn't foreign to me and I went ahead to purchase Make P:rem UV Defense Me Daily Sun Essence after reading a positive review of it on Instagram.

Make P:rem UV Defense Me Daily Sun Essence is housed in a 50ml tube with a minimalistic vibe. It has a unique floral scent while the lotion texture is unbelievably lightweight with a subtle dewiness.

[ Review ] Eco Love Carrot, Pumpkin & Sweet Potato Shower Gel

 

Product Description

Eco Love Carrot, Pumpkin & Sweet Potato Shower Gel is made with organic orange vegetable extracts from carrots, pumpkins & sweet potatoes and enriched with Dead Sea water.

Always on the search for new shower gels, I was intrigued enough by the interesting ingredients in Eco Love Carrot, Pumpkin & Sweet Potato Shower Gel to purchase it on Iherb. I didn't quite like my previous shower gel - Jowae Revitalizing Moisturizing Shower Gel so I was hoping that this will fare better, unfortunately, it isn't. 

Hailing from USA, Eco Love worked on a minimum of 95% ingredients from natural sources, with a minimum of 30% certified organic ingredients, and is fully vegan. 

Their products are made of organic vegetable extracts which are free of harmful chemicals, as well as 

Dead Sea Salt and Dead Sea Water which are rich in 26 minerals. The organic aloe vera has a soothing effect while organic olive oil worked great as an antioxidant lubricant and cleanser. Shea Butter has  moisturizing and softening properties.

The 500ml bottle size was a good body wash size and the illustrations on the bottle were uplifting and joyful. I enjoyed the light scent as well as the light suds however, it was drying since Day 1 so it wasn't the perfect fit for me.

Klorane Ultra-Gentle Shampoo with Oat Milk is a plant-based shampoo that softens, hydrates and adds shine to hair while respecting the natural balance of the scalp. The dermatologist tested formula for all hair types is gentle enough for sensitive scalps.

A good friend recommended Klorane Ultra-Gentle Shampoo with Oat Milk, upon realizing that I have been battling with psoriasis on the scalp. It was recommended to her by her hair stylist for her dandruff. I took her advice and promptly purchased a bottle to try it out, before seeing a doctor. 

The shampoo centres around oat milk for its richness in sugar, lipids and vitamins that work to soften, protect and detangle hair.

Klorane Ultra-Gentle Shampoo with Oat Milk is a 400ml product. It is a housed in a clear bottle with a flick top cap that dispenses the white creamy shampoo for use. It has a subtle floral fragrance.

How To Use :

1) Apply to damp hair and scalp.

2) Work the shampoo into a lather and gently massage.

3) Rinse the hair and scalp. Rinse in case of contact with eyes.

Performance and Ingredients

Free of Sulfates, Silicone, Parabens, Mineral Oil, Essential Oil, Artificial Dye, Phthalates and DEA, Klorane Ultra-Gentle Shampoo with Oat Milk has a thick creamy texture which is gentle enough without causing irritation.

It lathers and cleanses well with minimal hair fall. Dandruff were reduced although they didn't disappear totally. Hair is soft, silky and nourished. 

Powered by Oat Milk, which is known for its soothing properties, clinically shown to soothe and protect hair and the natural balance of the scalp.

To conclude, Klorane Ultra-Gentle Shampoo with Oat Milk is a gentle shampoo recommended for sensitive scalp which worked to reduce my dandruff, lathers, cleanses well and left my hair soft and nourished.

[ Review ] Dr. Morita Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Essence Facial Mask

Dr. Morita Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Essence Facial Mask is infused with hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, sodium hyaluronic acid and algae extract for dehydrated skin. Specially formulated to plump skin with deep moisture to keep skin young and glowing. It is suitable for all skin types especially dry skin. 

From skin care products to a beauty brand, Morita Cosmetics is based in Taiwan, deeply rooted in Asia, and going global.

A good friend has gifted 3 x Dr. Morita Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Essence Facial Mask, citing as her favourite. I had a good experience with Dr Morita's Hyaluronic Acid Essence Mask back in 2019 so hopefully this worked great too. 

Oddly, there are different variants on the market with different list of ingredients although the titles tend to sound similar among these variants. 

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Dr. Morita Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Essence Facial Mask is enveloped within a protective plastic mesh-like sheet. There isn't much of a scent and the texture of the mask feels thin but sturdy. 

There is a cooling sensation upon layering on skin which lasted as long as you had it. The cutting fits well on my cherubic face shape. 

How To Use : 

1) Apply on cleansed face for 10-15 minutes

2) Massage the remaining essence into skin until it is fully absorbed

3) Rinsing is not necessary

Performance and Ingredients

Dr. Morita Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Essence Facial Mask contains hyaluronic acid which is a super moisturizing factor that helps lock-in moisture all-day long for firm and supple skin. The mask is said to increase skin firmness and elasticity and smoothens out fine lines effectively whilst providing anti-oxidant power. It also restores skin's vitality, reduce wrinkles and brightens dull skin.

The sheet mask adhered well to skin and was cooling and refreshing during the masking session. However after removing the mask once the 15 minutes was up, there was a subtle taut sensation on the upper lips although my face was soft, smooth and moderately hydrated. 

Conclusion

To conclude, Dr. Morita Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Essence Facial Mask wasn't the perfect fit for my skin type. Even though it left my skin soft, smooth and moderately hydrated but there was a subtle taut sensation on my upper lips.

I always need to stock up on hydrating or nourishing masks due to my combination-dehydrated skin type. Last year, my top favourites were Andalou Naturals Avo Cocoa Skin Food Mask and Solyph Keep Calm Meditate Sheet Mask which were featured in my Top 20 Beauty Empties I Loved in 2023. My all-time favourite is Isntree Ceramide Deep Moisture Cream Mask which sadly isn't available anymore. 

I have previously reviewed Origins Mega Mushroom Skin Relief Mask, Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask and Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask With Rose Clay.

Origins Drink Up 10 Minute Hydrating Mask is a 75ml yellow tube product with creamy white contents and a zesty apricot scent. It has a cooling sensation upon application.

How To Use :

1) Twice a week or as desired, gently massage onto clean skin.

2) Wait 10 minutes.

3) Tissue off.

Performance and Ingredients

Infused with New swiss glacier water, hyaluronic acid and apricot, Drink Up™ instantly quenches thirsty skin and delivers hydration to extra dry spots. It helps seal in surface moisture and leaves your skin soft, smooth and healthy-looking. It’s all day, every day superfood-infused hydration—in just 10 minutes.

I love the zesty apricot scent and the creamy mask consistency that makes me look forward to slathering it all over the face in the shower. After 10 minutes, most of the creamy contents disappeared into the skin and it is time to rinse off. It is recommended to tissue off, but I tend to clean it off with cotton pads and then do a final rinse-off. 

My skin felt smooth, soft and hydrated, although, to say that it keeps skin happily hydrated, comfortable and conditioned for 24 hours may be an overstatement. 

It didn't make me feel that my skin is sufficiently hydrated for 24 hours, in fact, I feel that I should use it every day to reap the hydrating benefits, when my skin craves for hydration. However, I can say that my skin always feel comfortable, happy and hydrated after rinsing off the mask. 

I love it so much, that I have purchased another tube as stock-up.

Heimish Matcha Biome Redness Relief Hydrating Toner is a 150ml toner, housed in a dark green plastic bottle with a screw-on cap and a small hole to dispense the watery contents. 

It had an overpowering matcha scent which I rather do without, but I like the light watery consistency which absorbs easily into skin.
