Product Description

The JS Fukkurinko Rice Essence is a special product containing 4 types of rice extract from Hokkaido! The rice extracts, oryza sativa (rice), bran extract, rice ferment filtrate (sake), oryza sativa (rice) bran oil and glycosphingolipids are made from 100% Japanese rice. Truly the perfect item to achieve glowing, radiant skin even without makeup!

I purchased Hokkaido Fukkurinko Sakekasu Face Pack and Fukkurinko Rice Essence Pack late last year in Don Don Donki, when they were on sale. 

For the uninitiated, Fukkurinko is a quality rice developed in southern Hokkaido, popular for its fluffy texture. Rice is said to be rich in minerals (zinc, magnesium), amino acids, Vitamins (B and C) and antioxidants. The Research Institute for Medicines has suggested that rice can help to inhibit the activity of elastase [an enzyme that damages elastin] making it an anti-aging powerhouse.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Made in Japan, Fukkurinko Rice Essence Pack is manufactured by Toyo Beauty It is housed in a 195g squeezy soft pouch with a plastic nozzle for easy dispensing. The texture is like blobs of rice with a refreshing, cooling feel and has no detectable fragrance.

How To Use

1) After washing your face, lightly dry it with a towel, squeeze a cherry sized blob of product on your hand and spread it evenly over your face, avoiding the the area around your eyes and mouth.

2) Leave it for 5-10 minutes then rinse off thoroughly with warm water.

Tip : Use it 2-3 times a week.

Performance and Ingredients

Fukkurinko Rice Essence Pack contains 4 types of rice extract from Hokkaido for pore size reduction and moist and plumped skin. 

The interesting texture felt like blobs of rice and was refreshing and cooling upon first use on skin. It is thick and clung onto the skin well but because of that, it requires copious of water to rinse it off, so I prefer to use 2 damp cotton pads to do the first wipe before rinsing with water. 

After every masking session, my skin looked brighter and pores cleaner, though I need a bit more hydration. I love to reach out for this essence pack on dull skin days!

The key ingredients are....

Rice Ferment Filtrate : Rice power by yeast fermentation hydrates skin to the fullest

Oryza Sativa (rice) Bran Oil : Contains Vitamin E which conditions and makes skin plump and glowing

Arginine : Promotes collagen formation by supplying the required building blocks and facilitating the collagen synthesis process. Increased collagen production improves skin texture, reduces wrinkle appearance, and promotes a more youthful-looking complexion.

Rice Bran Extract : Texturizes rough skin and leads to clear and fine-textured skin

Water, propanediol, glycerin, cetyl ethylhexanoate, hydrogenated rapeseed alcohol, triethylhexanoin, glycerin stearate se, polysorbate 60,dimethicone, stearic acid, sodium polyacylate strach, CI 77891, phenoxyethanol, carbomer, methylparaben, benzophenone-4, microcrysalline cellulose, citric acid, aluminum hydroxide, ammonium polycrylate, butylene glycol, alcohol, oryza sativa (rice) bran extract, rice filtrate(sake), oryza sativa (rice) bran oil, glycosphingolipids, arginine, oryza sativa (rice) bran extract.

Conclusion

To conclude, Fukkurinko Rice Essence Pack has left my skin looking brighter and pores cleaner, though I need a bit more hydration. Definitely ideal for those dull skin days!
