I received a set of Hyaah products as part of a Stylekorean collaboration. After emptying Hyaah Synergy Mask Pad, the product I found myself reaching most was the HYAAH Licorice First Essence.

HYAAH Licorice First Essence is formulated with Licorice Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, and Allantoin, a soothing ingredient blend designed to calm sensitive, irritation-prone skin while reinforcing hydration at the very first step of skincare. Licorice extract helps to comfort and balance the skin, while Hyaluronic Acid delivers lightweight hydration and Allantoin supports skin soothing and resilience.
In terms of performance, the lightweight, watery texture absorbs quickly and hydrates effectively without feeling heavy though it has a hint of tackiness. It layers beautifully, making it easy to adjust the hydration level based on my skin’s needs. On days when my skin feels especially dehydrated, I simply apply additional layers for an extra boost of moisture.
For my combination skin with surface dehydration, I prefer applying three layers after cleansing before sealing everything in with a moisturiser for optimal comfort and hydration. You can add in a serum but I prefer to keep my routine simple.
I usually use my palms but you can also use this first essence like a toner while patting or wiping with cotton pads or use as toner packs/lotion masks ( pour first essence on thin cotton pads and layer on skin like a mask )
