I have previously tried For Beloved Girl Extreme Moisture Mineral Cloud-Silk Mask and For Beloved Girl Flawless Brightening Mineral Cloud-Silk Mask which worked pretty well for me. 

For Beloved Girl Oil Control Mineral Cloud-Silk Mask helps to regulate excess oil production and controls skin with oil and water balance. How To Use : 

1) After cleansing, spread the mask. Each package contains two layers.

2) Spread the cloud-silk mask (the transparent layer) onto the face. Discard the outer protect layer (the non-transparent layer).

3) Adjust the cloud-silk mask to completely cover your face then wait for 10-15 minutes to see bright and smooth skin.

For skin with excessive sebum. Zinc Gluconate targets on excessive skin oil problem by controlling over-active oil glands, preventing acnes, blackhead and whitehead, returns skin to perfect oil-water balance. I redeemed a sheet of  Curel Intensive Moisture Care Moisture Repair Sheet Mask during a sampling campaign by Kao. Kao's product range can be wide-ranging. Some of the interesting and popular products I have tried are Kao Megurhythm Steam Hot Eye Mask, Kao Rerise Hair Colour and Kao Biore Tegotae Eye Mask. 

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Each box comes with 4 individually packed sheet masks. The size is large and generous with excess material at edges of face and with its sturdy thick material, the adherence isn't as great as those sheer material, opening up at the jaws area. It has a naturally occurring scent

How To Use : 

1) With clean hands, apply sheet mask after hydrating skin with facial moisture lotion. 

2) Peel off the sachet, unfold the mask and apply it tightly to the entire face. 

3) Tear off the flexible care sheet to cover any remaining gaps on the face. 

4) Remove the sheet mask after about 10-15 minutes.  

5) Gently spread the remaining essence on your face with the palm of your hand. 

6) After the essence is absorbed into the skin, apply your daily moisturizer. 

Performance and Ingredients

Curel Intensive Moisture Care Moisture Repair Sheet Mask is a rich intensive moisture treatment for very dry, sensitive skin. Use it at night for soft, plump, and fully moisturized skin the next morning! 

The sheet mask provides long-lasting moisture and strengthens the skin's barrier to improve skin moisture content by +140% in 2 weeks^, with 10x Better Penetration of Ceramide functioning ingredient* into the stratum corneum (skin) to replenish the function of "ceramide". 

It features a unique flexible care" sheet that can be torn off to cover even eyelids and gaps around the nose that often become dry. The soft sheet mask is gentle on sensitive skin and adheres to delicate skin comfortably. 

Made in Japan, Curel Intensive Moisture Care Moisture Repair Sheet Mask has no added fragrance, no added colorant, no added alcohol and is dermatologically tested.

The cutting is great but the adherence can be better with its quality hydrophillic material. The wings at the bottom of the sheet mask is a thoughtful touch as you can tear it to cover other uncovered areas.

It comes with bonus eye flaps that helped to soothe the eye area. After a 20 minute masking session, my skin was much hydrated with a subtle brightening effect. 

Note that there are 2 "handles" at the top of the sheet mask ( near to the temple ) for easy removal, which reminded me vaguely of Innisfree My Real Squeeze masks.

[ Review ] Zahara Medusa Nail Polish

 

Zahara Medusa is a stunning murky grey-ish green colour nail polish. With such an effortless application, it is perfect for those who are beginners. Medusa applies well and the consistency is pigmented yet not too dry. 

The glossy green looks beautiful and with its breathable formula that allows water and oxygen particles to pass through for hydrated and stronger nails, it may be just the one for you. 

That said, as you can tell, the fonts on the bottle had came off, even though I have not use it but kept in a box for a couple of months. It depicted poor quality. I do hope they will improve on the packaging. 

Zahara Medusa Nail Polish is made in France and is vegan and cruelty-free, non-toxic and 10-free from these common chemicals found in most nail polishes. No formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, formaldehyde resin, camphor, ethyl tosylamide, xylene, parabens, acetone, TPHP, TBHP, gluten.

Zahara nail polishes are easy to use and great for amateurs like me. I love how the application is pigmented, smooth and even. Just 1 layer, and you are done but of course, you can apply a few more layers as desired. 

Unfortunately, the finishing isn't as glossy as I like. It is semi-glossy and looked matte at times, which isn't my preference.

Nubian Raw Shea Butter Hand & Body Scrub comes in a 340g tub of yellow scrub goodness. It smells sweet and is lovely. The sugar granules are large enough to provide a good exfoliation for the body.

How To Use :

1) Mix contents well. 

2) Apply a small amount to palm, massaging gently into skin using a circular motion, concentrating on rough, dry areas. 

3) As a hand treatment, rub palms together to create gentle warmth, massage gently into top of hands and cuticles. 

4) Rinse skin thoroughly with warm water and pat dry.

Performance and Ingredients

Nubian Heritage Shea Butter Hand and Body Scrub is a fragrant ultra-moisturizing sugar scrub with nourishing Frankincense and Myrrh and organic Shea Butter to hydrate and exfoliate to reveal healthier looking, smoother skin. 

Shea Butter is rich in essential fatty acids, which moisturize and soften skin. Frankincense, known for its toning and anti-aging properties, also has aromatherapy benefits. Hydrates and exfoliates to reveal healthier looking, smoother skin. Gives skin a more youthful appearance fragrant, ultra-moisturizing sugar scrub.

The sugar granules are large but can be slightly abrasive which I don't fancy, however it left my skin super smooth and soft with a layer of moisturising veil. 

I prefer using Nubian Raw Shea Butter Hand & Body Scrub after a good workout to slough off all the dead skin cells for softer smoother skin. That said, do take note if your skin is sensitive.

[ Review ] Rovectin Lotus Water Calming Sheet Mask

 

Product Description

Rovectin Lotus Water Calming Sheet Mask is a calming, water-gel sheet mask packed with Lotus Flower extract instantly soothes sensitive and damaged skin while providing long lasting hydration. The Rovectin Lotus Water Calming Sheet Mask calms the skin and hydrates with only clean ingredients sourced from nature.

I adored Clean Lotus Water Cream while Rovectin Conditioning Cleanser was a miss and certainly hope the mask would work well for me. 

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Rovectin Lotus Water Calming Sheet Mask contains 25ml of essence and is folded nicely on a protective paper. It doesn't have much of a scent but the cutouts were terrible, with large eye cutouts, a large gap between nose and cheeks and a thin strip of mask on the philtrum.

How To Use : 

1) After cleansing, prep the skin with toner.
2) Evenly place the sheet mask over the face while avoiding the lip and eye areas.
3) Remove the mask after 10-20 minutes and pat lightly for further absorption.

Performance and Ingredients

Formulated without parabens, sulfates, artificial colors and fragrances, animal products, alcohol, mineral oil, essential oils, and silicone, Rovectin Lotus Water Calming Sheet Mask is vegan and cruelty-free with a pH 5.5~6.5. 

The eco-friendly, biodegradable mask sheet material was very thin and sheer so it adhered well on skin though the cutting was pretty bad. 

However, I love how soothing and refreshing the sheet mask was on skin. After removing the mask, my face looked healthy with a nice glow.

Rootree Treetherapy Nutmeg Tree Facial Mask has a subtle natural scent with minty cooling refreshing sensation once layered on skin. 

The material of the sheet mask is of medium thickness with some excess material near the edges of face. It is made of Cupra that allows excellent breathability and softness, providing quality adhesiveness and moisture.

Cupra refers to “cotton linters” which are short fibers left behind after processing raw cotton. This sheet mask material is white but has a transparent appearance when applied on the skin. It allows for moisture control and ensures that the skin is getting essence that is evenly distributed 

How To Use : 

1) After cleansing, arrange the skin with toner. 

2) Apply the mask sheet onto the face. 

3) Leave mask about 10-20 minutes and remove the sheet from face. 

4) Gently pat until the essence is absorbed into skin fully.

Performance and Ingredients

Rootree Treetherapy Nutmeg Tree Facial Mask does not contain parabens, talc, SLS-SLES, Benzophenone, Ethanol, Mineral Oil, Triclosan and Colorants. 

After a 15 minute masking session, it left my skin moderately hydrated and looking slightly brighter although there was a subtle taut sensation on the upper lips. 

In terms of ingredients, it contains the following...

Nutmeg Tree : Contains large amount of Phytoncide, a natural antibacterial ingredient that helps hydrate skin and boost skin immunity while relieving stress with calming scent as it soothes the mind. 

Natural Moisturizing Factor N.M.F : A naturally existing moisturizing agent embedded within keratin layers. When skin is exposed to dry environment, it becomes dehydrated creating keratin later. By nourishing skin with moisture, it boosts skin barrier and creates hydrated skin.

Hammamelis Virginiana : Lowers skin temperature and relaxes skin to tighten pore and revitalize skin to boost skin regeneration. 

Damask Rose : Contains large amount of Vitamin A and C to brighten skin tone and tighten pore to create smooth skin. 

Sodium Hyaluronic Acid : Plumps up the skin from the inside and thereby reduces fine lines and wrinkles.

Its been said that air pollutants such as heavy metals, OM and gas pollutants such as SO2, NO2 or PAH can settle on the scalp and hair causing irritation and hair's cuticle damage. 

These pollutants may migrate through the hair follicle, leading to oxidative stress, excessive sebum secretion. redness, itching, dandruff, oily scalp and hair loss hence in recent years, there have been a range of hair-pollution products in the market. 

Made in Japan, ShinkoQ (シンコキュウ) is a hair care brand, offering a range of anti-pollution hair products including shampoo, treatment, hair mist and hair oil. 

The series features the brand’s original anti-pollution formula that protects the hair from air pollutants such as pollen, cigarette smoke and chemical substances and repairs damaged hair. It conditions hair and scalp, prevents external aggressors from adhering and washes them away gently. Each product is available with two scents (sweet bloom and aqua magnolia).

The product name derives from “shinkokyu”, which is Japanese for “deep breathing”. The minimalist packaging design for this product line aims to fulfil consumer demands and stand out on the market. 

The bottle fronts do without the product name and instead feature only a yellow “slash”. This minimalist slash mark denotes something “prohibited” and thus symbolises the theme of anti-pollution, while it is also easy to remember and recognise even in small product images.
