Trichoderm Anti Grey Hair Treatment Shampoo can help to fight hair aging, powered by GREYVERSE, world's first patented and clinically studies "α-MSH Biomimetic Peptide" and complemented by cutting-edge Japanese Botanical Extracts, Black Soy Bean Extract and Swertia Japonica Extract, that promote anti-grey hair naturally.

Made in Japan, TRICHODERM®BlackSeries is a range of premium next generation hair growth therapy with the latest cutting edge powerful TrichoCell™ ingredients. It helps increase the density of the hair while reducing loss and stimulating new hair growth.

Powered by the TricoCell™ Deep-Seated Self-Regeneration Technology, it consists of the Plant Stem cells (Apple and Argan), Japanese botanical herbal extracts and the Trichological complex. The effectiveness of TRICHODERM® as a hair growth accelerator is achieved by activating the self renewal of hair follicle stem cells at the epidermal layer prolonging the hair life cycle and by protecting and vitalizing the dermal stem cell – reactivation of the hair follicle stems cells at the root to induce hair follicle formation.

I chanced upon a facebook ad on Trichoderm Anti-Grey Hair Treatment Shampoo ( Women ) last year and promptly purchased a bottle when there was a sale in Guardian. Read my recent review on Trichoderm Anti-Grey Hair Treatment Serum.

I had my first strand of grey hair at age 15 which wasn't a troubling issue then, until I started working and my grey hair situation worsened.

According to Trichoderm, hair turns grey due to a loss of melanin which is caused by aging, hair bulb oxidation, long term exposure to sunlight and UV, frequently dyed hair and emotional stress.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Trichoderm Anti-Grey Hair Treatment Shampoo is housed in a black 200ml bottle with a flick-top cap. It has a subtle scent that is never intrusive. The clear gel texture lathers well like a regular shampoo.

How To Use :
1) Massage the shampoo into the scalp and all over your hair until a good lather forms. Rinse thoroughly and repeat the process.

2) Daily application recommended. For best results, use with TRICHODERM® Anti-Grey Hair Treatment Serum.

Performance and Ingredients

Said to be a gentle and moisturising formula which is suitable for daily use, Trichoderm Anti-Grey Hair Treatment Shampoo is silicone-free, paraben-free, chemical colorant-free and SLS-free. Powered by GREYVERSE which promotes pigmentation process by increasing melanin production and stimulating melanin transfer, it also decreases oxidative stress in the hair bulb, thereby defying hair-aging and reversing grey hair.

This is my very first anti-grey hair shampoo and I am skeptical about its effectiveness. Is it really as easy as it sounds? This shampoo foams very well, considering its a non-SLS shampoo so if you are someone who likes the foaming action, you might like this as well.

I started using this when I have not coloured my hair for 3 months so that I can provide a fair review for this product.

The instruction suggested shampoo-ing twice. According to hair stylists, shampooing your hair twice is beneficial because it allows for proper cleansing, giving you longer periods of time with a clean scalp and keeping away the oily hair problem.

The logic behind this is that the first shampoo breaks down the oils and buildup in your hair while the second shampoo completely gets them out.

When I shampooed twice with this treatment shampoo, I noticed the second time was latherier than the first and create more foam. That said, I can't really tell if my hair is cleaner than if I shampooed once, but I might report back if I notice any difference.

Note that I don't shampoo twice with this shampoo each time, it depends on my needs - after exercise or on days when I think my scalp is oily.

Trichoderm Anti-Grey Hair Treatment Shampoo kept my hair clean but when its 75% used up, I noticed more hair fall. Directly after washing my hair ( in the evening ), to waiting it to be air-dried, hair strands seemed weakened and dropped easily.

Using Coconut Oil as a pre-treatment shampoo treatment helped to minimize the hair fall slightly, but still, it wasn't a pleasant experience. Adding on, my grey hair still remained the same amount after a month of shampoo usage. I don't see a difference to having fewer grey strands.

In terms of ingredients, Trichoderm Anti-Grey Hair Treatment Shampoo contains the following...

Black Soy Bean : With high antioxidant properties, it helps to delay the aging process in the hair follicle.

Swertia Japonica Extract : Improves blood circulation and stimulates hair growth.

Water, Tea-Cocoyl Glutamate, PPG-2 Cocamide, Glycerin, Sodium Lauroyl Methylaminopropionate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Cocamide Dea, Potassium Cocoyl Hydrolyzed Collagen, Phenoxyethanol, Polysorbate 80, Cocamide Mea, Polyquaternium-10, Sodium Benzoate, Fragrance, Polyquaternium-47, Citric Acid, Potassium Cocoyl Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Sodium Lauroyl Hydrolyzed Silk, Disodium Edta, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Chloride, Butylene Glycol, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Alcohol, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-20, Prunus Yedoensis Leaf Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Swertia Japonica Extract, Hydrolyzed Soybean Extract, Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract

Conclusion

To conclude, Trichoderm Anti-Grey Hair Treatment Shampoo didn't work out for me. It kept my hair clean but caused more hair fall during the last 25% of the shampoo. It also didn't reduce my grey hair appearance. Not a repurchase!
