Product Description

Fitted with SPF 50+ PA++++, Miguhara Daily Herb Sun Stick is a lightweight sun stick that fends off UV rays while soothing skin with natural herbs like lavender, rosemary and chamomile extracts. Balm-like texture leaves a non-sticky and refreshing finish with no white cast. The gentle formula is suitable for sensitive skin.

I received Miguhara Daily Herb Sun Stick SPF 50+ PA++++ as part of a Stylekorean collaboration. This is my first foray into the brand. 

Established in 2013, Korean brand MIGUHARA believes in the power of Mother Nature to enhance beauty. Through extensive research and development, MIGUHARA develops safe and efficacious skin care and make up products from natural, plant-based ingredients to promote skin regeneration and maintain healthy skin. 

When it comes to sun protection, more really is more. While a good sunscreen is non-negotiable in any skincare routine, I’ve recently added a new step that’s made a noticeable difference—applying a sun stick as a primer before my regular sunscreen. At first, it might sound like overkill, but layering sun protection doesn’t just boost effectiveness; it also helps ensure better coverage, especially on days when I’m out and about.

Miguhara Daily Herb Sun Stick is a 20g product with a sleek compact packaging designed for portability and ease of use. Housed in a twist-up tube —similar to a deodorant stick or oversized lip balm—they fit comfortably in the palm of your hand and slide easily into any purse, pocket, or makeup bag. It has a snap-on cover, with a clear plastic lid for hygiene and accidental mess. 

It has a soapy perfume-like fragrance which I rather do without, if given an option but thankfully, its not overpowering. The balm texture has a glowy finishing.

Packaging, Scent and Texture 

By Wishtrend Pore Smoothing Bakuchiol Sun Stick is an 18g stick-type chemical sunscreen that protects skin from UV damage with SPF 50 PA++++. It doesn't have any fragrance. 

Just remove the cover, twist the base of the container to raise the stick, and swipe it all over your face thrice for sun protection. Thrice is my preference but it is best to layer a few rounds and I still apply a regular sunscreen after the sun stick.

After emptying Benton Mineral Sun Stick SPF50 PA++++, Tocobo Cotton Soft Sun Stick SPF 50+ PA++++ and ACWELL Dermild Airy Sun Control Stick SPF 50+ PA++++ so far, I felt that sun sticks worked pretty well as an additional UV protection prior to my regular sunscreen. 

SKIN1004 is an award-winning hypoallergenic & natural skincare brand from Korea. Their main ingredient, CENTELLA ASIATICA, originates from the untouched nature of MADAGASCAR, which is one of the world's finest Centella.

SKIN1004 is a clean beauty brand and have acquired certifications such as CGMP, Beauty without Bunnies, cruelty-free & vegan through PETA. 

"1004" pronounced in Korean sounds the same way as the word “Angel” “천사” or “Cheon-Sa” to be exact hence Skin1004 is also known as "Skin Angels”

Infused with chia seed extract, the sun stick has a naturally derived blue hue without using artificial colorants. It has no scent, and the smooth silicone texture glides well on skin.

I received Tocobo Cotton Soft Sun Stick together with Tocobo Bio Watery Sun Cream SPF50+ PA++++, Mary & May Cica Soothing Sun Cream, Benton Skin Fit Mineral Sun Cream SPF 50+ PA++++ and Benton Air Fit UV Defense Sun Cream as part of a Stylekorean collaboration last year. 

In today's world, sun protection isn't just a luxury; it's a necessity. With the increasing awareness of the harmful effects of UV radiation, finding a reliable sunscreen has become paramount. Among the multitude of options available, sun sticks have gained popularity for their convenience and mess-free application.

This Cotton Soft Sun Stick was my top choice among all the sunscreens in the collaboration but took me the longest time to empty it, as it was used as the last step of my skincare routine for an additional layer of sun protection but I wasn't consistent with it. 

This year, I used it as a base instead, where I applied it as the first step before my usual sunscreen and it fitted my skincare routine so well that I was almost sad I am emptying it so soon. This was my second sun stick after Acwell Dermild Airy Sun Control Stick SPF 50PA++++.

ACWELL Dermild Airy Sun Control Stick with SPF 50+ PA++++ has a non-oily and non-sticky application. Once applied on skin, it will be easily absorbed. It is a lightweight moisturizing sun stick and it keeps your skin fresh throughout the day.

I first came across Acwell Dermild Airy Sun Control Stick SPF 50 PA++++ when I was shopping in one of the beauty stores in Korea. The promoter highly recommended it to me, as there was a 1 for 1 promotional price. Prior to this, I have only tried Acwell facial sheet masks and was initially hesitant in trying out a sun stick as I was worried about the hygienic factor and the difficulty of it gliding on my skin.

However, I was won over by the promoter's sales pitch and with the 1 for 1 promotion, it was hard to resist so off the bundle goes, into my basket.

Made in Korea, Acwell is a Korean herbal skincare brand that focuses on helping sensitive and troubled skin.
