After emptying L'Oreal Absolute Repair Molecular Rinse Off Serum, it was time to try out Kerastase Chroma Absolu Anti-porosity Strengthening Conditioner System. Both products were gifted by my aunt. 

I used the Kérastase Chroma Absolu Anti-Porosity Strengthening Conditioner as a pre-shampoo hair treatment to soften my tresses before shampooing. Using a conditioner before shampoo helps prepare the hair, making it easier to detangle while providing an extra layer of nourishment for dry or colour-treated hair.

The version I tried was a 75ml travel-sized product, while the full-sized version comes in a 200ml bottle. The conditioner has a rich yet creamy texture that coats the hair evenly. The powerful yet lightweight formula is ideal for fine to medium hair types, leaving the hair smoother without feeling weighed down while helping to strengthen the strands.

Once applied, it envelops the hair, leaving it feeling soft, smooth, healthy, and more manageable. The scent is quite strong and gives the feeling of stepping out of a professional salon after a hair treatment.

As part of the Chroma Absolu range designed for colour-treated hair, this conditioner claims to help protect hair colour while strengthening porous hair strands. However, based on my personal experience, I did not notice a significant difference in colour longevity when using this conditioner.

My hair colour faded at a similar rate regardless of whether I used the conditioner or skipped it. While it performs well as a smoothing and softening conditioner, I did not find it particularly effective in extending the lifespan of my hair colour.

Overall, my experience with the Kérastase Chroma Absolu Anti-Porosity Strengthening Conditioner was positive in terms of hair softness, smoothness, and manageability. The conditioner performs well as a lightweight yet nourishing conditioner for fine to medium hair, helping to smooth the hair cuticles without leaving any heavy or greasy residue.

My hair felt softer, easier to detangle, and healthier-looking after each use.

Tips: For very dry hair, apply from roots to ends. Work the serum through the hair between the palms of your hands for one to two minutes.

I received two 75ml bottles of L’Oréal Absolut Repair Molecular Rinse-Off Serum, which I used as a pre-shampoo conditioning treatment to soften my hair before cleansing. The lightweight, runny texture spreads easily, though I prefer pouring it into my palms and rubbing my hands together before evenly coating my lengths to avoid wastage.

When used consistently, this rinse-off serum noticeably improves hair softness and smoothness, making my long hair feel less tangled and easier to manage. The difference is especially obvious on days when I skip it where my hair feels comparatively rougher and less conditioned.

Scent-wise, it carries a strong, salon-like floral fragrance that lingers briefly on the hair after rinsing, adding to the professional treatment experience without being overwhelming.

I was happy to see no strands shedding during rinsing, though some still fell out while blow-drying. After use, my hair felt thoroughly cleansed, fresh, soft, and bouncy. Overall, it provided a soothing scalp experience and a clean finish, making it a nice step in my routine compared to regular shampoos.

It’s been over a decade since I last used a L'Oréal hair product, so when my aunt gifted me the L'Oréal Absolut Repair Conditioner, I was curious—and a little nostalgic. For the last 2 years, I relied mostly on weekly deep conditioning masks, rarely reaching for a regular conditioner. But ever since monthly hair coloring became a must (hello, stubborn greys), a moisturizing conditioner has become non-negotiable in my routine.

On normal days, I didn’t notice a dramatic change when using this conditioner. But after a fresh hair coloring session? The difference was night and day. My usually dry, straw-like post-color hair felt soft, smooth, and pudding-like—yes, that silky. Even better, it didn’t trigger any scalp flakiness, which is something I’ve often struggled with after coloring.

The L'Oréal Absolut Repair Conditioner has a rich, creamy texture that spreads easily and rinses out without leaving any greasy residue. I purchased OC Naturals Berry Bliss Kids 3 in 1 Conditioning Shampoo & Body Wash sometime back, after falling in love with their body washes. Their body washes worked very well for me, but not the shampoos. 

This is formulated for children and can be used as a body wash, shampoo and conditioner. I purchased it, thinking it will be gentle for my sensitive skin and scalp.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

OC Naturals Berry Bliss Kids 3 in 1 Conditioning Shampoo & Body Wash is a 400ml sized bottle with a flick top cap. The cap does not function well and cannot be closed fully, causing leakage at times. It has an artificial berry fragrance that may delight children but probably not discerning adults. 

How To Use :

Apply to wet hair, form a gentle lather then rinse. Apply to a moist puff or wash cloth & gently lather all over body then rinse.

Performance and Ingredients

I used OC Naturals Berry Bliss Kids 3 in 1 Conditioning Shampoo & Body Wash as a shampoo initially, but it was drying, causing my hair to be straw-like with horrible hair fall that I had to stop after 3 uses. 

As a body wash, the gel-like contents felt slightly sticky although it lathers and cleanses well. Not an ideal body wash, shampoo or conditioner and definitely not a repurchase. 

I realized it costs 3 times more in Singapore, as compared to buying in Australia, while researching for this post. What a disappointing and expensive purchase!

Conclusion

OC Naturals Berry Bliss Kids 3-in-1 Conditioning Shampoo & Body Wash may come in a fun, fruity scent that appeals to children, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. As a shampoo, it left my hair dry and brittle with noticeable hair fall after just a few uses. While it performs decently as a body wash in terms of lather, the slightly sticky texture and poor packaging—especially the faulty cap that leaks—add to the overall disappointment.

To make matters worse, I later discovered it’s priced nearly three times higher in Singapore compared to Australia, making it a costly and underwhelming purchase. Between the drying formula, ineffective 3-in-1 functionality, and inconvenient packaging, this is one I won’t be repurchasing.

I first tried the PHS Hairscience Adv Detangling Hair Spray back in 2018, followed by PHS HAIRSCIENCE FEM Daily Regime Starter Kit in 2022. The detangling spray was decent while the starter kit wasn't a good fit for me. 

PHS Pro Shampoo Stem C+ Calming Shampoo was recommended to me, after a hair scalp trial and treatment session, together with my sister and mother. Based on my hair condition, PHS Daily Essence, Tonic and weekly elixir, together with this shampoo were recommended for my hair routine but I purchased the shampoo and daily essence only.

PHS Pro Shampoo Stem C+ Calming Shampoo is housed in a 500ml bottle with a pump dispenser. It has a calming scent and a slightly cooling sensation. The grey contents lather well. 

This product is made in Korea and does not contain parabens, mineral oil, artificial colorant and benzophenone.

Redesigned for a quick and targeted stream application, the No.0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment features an easy to use nozzle that primes the hair and delivers the highest concentration of the patented bond building technology of any Olaplex at home product.

This pre-shampoo product comes in a 155ml nozzle spray dispenser and does not have any scent. It is very watery and doesn't last long. I only managed to squeeze in 6 times of uses, with my long thick tresses.  

How To Use :

1) Apply slowly to dry hair, distributing evenly from root to tip.

2) Work No. 0 into small sections by squeezing the liquid into the hair to be fully absorbed as you go.

3) Lightly saturate from root to tip.

4) Hair should be damp, not drenched.

5) Let process for 10 minutes.

6) Rinse, shampoo and condition.

I came across this brand on Iherb ( Use OKI787 for 5% off your order ) while on the search for strengthening hair products where the reviews seem promising. My current favourite regular shampoos are Shea Moisture Moringa & Avocado Power Greens Shampoo and Innersense Hydrating Cream Hairbath but I needed something to target hair loss.

As I Am Pomegranate & Passion Fruit Strengthening Shampoo has a sweet fruity pomegranate and passionfruit scent. It comes in a 355ml bottle with a flick top cap

Performance and Ingredients

While I really like the fruit zesty scent, foams slightly and how well it cleanses my hair, however there was hair fall which was heartbreaking as I could not afford to lose more hair than I already do. It was drying, left my hair straw-like during rinsing and tangled my hair after air-dried.

On Iherb, there was no indication that the shampoo was made for tightly coiled and curly hair which made me purchase it, but on the Our Story website, it seemed to imply that their products are specially formulated for tightly coiled and curly hair so you might have better luck if your hair falls into that category. 

The key ingredients are....

Pomegranate : Rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals which nourish the scalp and strengthen hair.

Passion Fruit : High in vitamin C, which aids in collagen production essential for maintaining hair strength and elasticity.

Aloe Vera : Has natural moisturizing properties, which help to nourish the scalp and promote healthy hair.

To conclude, As I Am Pomegranate & Passion Fruit Strengthening Shampoo was a major disappointment. My hair was straw-like during rinsing and tangled after air-dried and along the way, there was hair fall. Not a repurcahse!
