Olaplex Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment No. 0 Review

Product Description
Olaplex Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment No. 0 is a professional-inspired, intensive treatment that primes hair for deeper repair, strengthens, and protects hair integrity leveraging the OLAPLEX™ patented bond-building technology.

I purchased Olaplex Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment No. 0 together with Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil, and the No.5 Conditioner.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Redesigned for a quick and targeted stream application, the No.0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment features an easy to use nozzle that primes the hair and delivers the highest concentration of the patented bond building technology of any Olaplex at home product.

This pre-shampoo product comes in a 155ml nozzle spray dispenser and does not have any scent. It is very watery and doesn't last long. I only managed to squeeze in 6 times of uses, with my long thick tresses.

How To Use :
1) Apply slowly to dry hair, distributing evenly from root to tip.
2) Work No. 0 into small sections by squeezing the liquid into the hair to be fully absorbed as you go.
3) Lightly saturate from root to tip.
4) Hair should be damp, not drenched.
5) Let process for 10 minutes.
6) Rinse, shampoo and condition.

Performance and Ingredients

The Nº.0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment, infused with patented OLAPLEX Bond Building Technology™ is an intense treatment that boosts the efficacy of OLAPLEX Nº.3 Hair Perfector® for deeper repair while strengthening and protecting the integrity of the hair. It absorbs quickly to jumpstart repair deep within the hair strand, strengthens and rebuilds hair bonds.

For the uninitiated, the patented OLAPLEX bond-building technology penetrates on a molecular level in all hair types.

Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate - a single molecule, works in a unique way to quickly and effectively repair broken bonds and restore healthy hair.

This active ingredient is included in every one of Olaplex products, imparting them with reparative and protective characteristics.

Hair Treatment No. 0 is a pre-shampoo treatment that’s free from DEA, aldehydes, and formaldehyde. It’s also cruelty-free, gluten-free, and vegan—perfect for those who prioritize clean beauty.

Upon my first use, I experienced more hair fall than usual, which was honestly horrifying. However, as someone who doesn’t give up easily, I stuck with it—and thankfully, the hair fall gradually decreased with continued use.

The product comes with a spray nozzle, making it relatively easy to apply throughout the hair. However, the nozzle delivers product in more of a direct shot than a fine mist, so I found myself using more product than expected. A mist-style applicator would improve the experience significantly.

I spray it evenly onto my dry hair, leave it on for about 10 minutes, and then proceed with my regular shampoo routine. During rinsing, I could actually feel my hair strands becoming more tightly coiled, almost like there was a "bond" being formed.

After air-drying, my hair felt softer, more manageable, and noticeably smoother. Best of all, the hair fall I initially experienced reduced after that first use, and my hair now feels healthier with each application.

Water (Aqua/Eau), Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate, Sodium Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol

Conclusion

To conclude, Olaplex Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment No. 0 left my hair softer, more manageable, and noticeably smoother. Best of all, the hair fall I initially experienced reduced after that first use, and my hair now feels healthier with each application.

Would I repurchase? I’m optimistic about the long-term strengthening effects and may purchase if there's a good promotional price.
