Trichoderm Anti-Grey Hair Treatment Serum Review

Product Description
Powered by GREYVERSE™, TRICHODERM® Anti-Grey Hair Treatment Serum can reverse hair greying process to progressively recover natural hair color. It helps boost the hair’s natural pigmentation process and protect it against depigmentation. Cutting-edge Japanese Botanical Extracts, Black Soy Bean Extract and Swertia Japonica Extract, help promote anti-grey hair naturally.

After trying out Trichoderm Anti Grey Hair Treatment Shampoo which didn't work for me, I decided to take the plunge to try Trichoderm Anti-Grey Hair Treatment Serum which was at 50% off with 6 months expiry date. The original retail price was out of my budget.

GREYVERSE™ is the world's first ever patented α-MSH Biomimetic Peptide which promotes pigmentation process by increasing melanin production and stimulating melanin transfer. It also helps decrease oxidative stress in the hair bulb, thereby defying hair-aging and reversing grey hair.

A key ingredient in Trichoderm Anti-Grey Hair Treatment Serum, it is clinically proven to reduce grey hair density by up to 81% with an average decrease of 30% after 3 months of use.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Trichoderm Anti-Grey Hair Treatment Serum comes in a 60ml black spray bottle with a cap on its nozzle dispenser. It has a strong alcohol scent and the mist is fine, suitable for 8 sprays, without making hair greasy.

How To Use :
1) Apply 8 sprays all over the dry or damp scalp daily.
2) It is a leave-in serum. Massage gently for optimum penetration. Do not rinse, leave it on the scalp.

Performance and Ingredients

Made in Japan, Trichoderm Anti-Grey Hair Treatment Serum is not a Hair Colorant, not a Chemical Dye and is Free of Silicone, Paraben and SLS but a leave-on hair serum to be used daily. The serum is lightweight and neither greasy or sticky.

Although 8 sprays are recommended for each use, I have "over-dosed" before and found that it made my hair greasy, so I mostly stick to 8 sprays each time. The alcohol scent is strong though, but I got used to it after awhile.

I was eager to see results and thankfully, it did deliver. I began using the hair serum 5 days after having my hair colored, and after 6 weeks of daily use, I noticed that the greys were about 10%- 15% lesser than before, so I was able to "drag" the time to the next hair coloring session by about 1 to 2 weeks.

Unfortunately, with my current new job, I was not able to maintain the greys beyond 8 weeks, as I needed to look presentable, hence I am unable to report how it will fare after 3 months.

Overall, while I am pleased to see a 10%- 15% improvement in the greys after 6 weeks, it does not convince me to part with $90 for each 60ml bottle which can last me for about 3 months. I may need further evaluation to justify my purchase.

Trichoderm Anti-Grey Hair Treatment Serum contains the following key ingredients...

Black Soy Bean : With high antioxidant properties, it helps to delay the aging process in the hair follicle.

Swertia Japonica Extract : Improves blood circulation and stimulates hair growth.

Water, Alcohol, Pentylene Glycol, Glycerin, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Glycosyl Trehalose, Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Ethylhexylglycerin, Fragrance, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-20, PEG/PPG/Polybutylene Glycol-8/5/3 Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Prunus Yedoensis Leaf Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Swertia Japonica Extract, Hydrolyzed Soybean Extract, Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract

Conclusion

To conclude, Trichoderm Anti-Grey Hair Treatment Serum is fuss-free and convenient for use. It has helped reduce my greys by about 10%-15% after 6 weeks which is great but is still unable to justify the S$90 price tag. Read my review on Trichoderm Anti-Grey Hair Treatment Shampoo.

I am eyeing Phyto RE30 Anti Grey Hair Treatment with Repigmenting Technology next, so I hope to bring you another review if I did get it eventually.
