Product Description

Barr Super Balance Brightening Ampoule is a brightening ampoule with 81% Green Tea Water, 2% Niacinamide (vitamin B3) and 1% Moist-7 Complex ( 7 Molecular Hyaluronic Acid ) to brighten dull complexion and maintain a clear skin tone. 

This is my last Barr product after emptying Barr Super Green Deep Energy Ampoule, Barr Super Green Deep Energy Cream, Barr Centella Calming Gel Essence and Barr Centella Calming Barrier Cream. They are gentle products, perfect for sensitive and reactive skin.  

I enjoyed checking out brightening products or Vitamin C serums to combat my dull skin. Mediphyt Potent C-15 Serum, 100% Pure Vitamin C Serum,  Jumiso All Day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing Facial Serum and Jumiso All Day Vitamin Pure C 5.5 Glow Serum worked great for me.

Barr Super Balance Brightening Ampoule is housed in a 30ml dropper bottle with lightweight milky contents and no scent. It has a subtle tackiness after application.

Product Description

The Barr Centella Calming Barrier Cream is a soothing moisturiser to help strengthen the skin barrier. Packed with 64% Centella Asiatica and 1% Panthenol to soothe and deeply hydrate skin, this lightweight cream also contains 1% Squalane to prevent moisture loss and 1% Jojoba Seed Oil to help control excess sebum secretion for healthier and calmer skin.

If you have very sensitive skin, you can check out Barr's skincare line where the products are gentle, calming and soothing. If you need a heavier cream to seal up all the goodness, Barr Centella Calming Barrier Cream would be your choice. Lets delve down....

Barr Centella Calming Barrier Cream is housed in a 80ml white plastic tube with a flick top cap. As the name implies, the cream is thick ( being a barrier cream ) but not as thick as other barrier creams in the market. It has a smooth consistency, with a hint of tackiness and no scent. Just a pea sized amount would do, so a tube will last for quite a long while.

I purchased Cult Beauty The Volume Edit which consists of Virtue Flourish Shampoo 60ml & Virtue Flourish Conditioner 60ml, together with other hair products.

Product Description

Barr Centella Calming Gel Essence is a slightly acidic gel essence designed to calm and soothe sensitive skin with 85% Centella Asiatica. This formula is supported with 0.3% Panthenol which is a pro-vitamin of Vitamin B5 to offer deep hydration while aiding in smoothing skin texture, leaving it soft and supple. Cruelty-free and vegan formula.

This is my 3rd product from the brand after emptying Barr Super Green Deep Energy Ampoule and Barr Super Green Deep Energy Cream. The ampoule didn't do much for me but the energy cream is one of my Top 22 Empties I Loved in 2022!

Barr Centella Calming Gel Essence comes in a sturdy 60ml plastic bottle with a treatment pump dispenser that is handy, portable and fuss-free. I love how easy it is for me just to lightly press on the dispenser twice for the amount I required for my face.

I am on a quest to try out all cleansing milks in the market because my finicky skin type loves them so much. My last 3 milk cleansers were Muji Mild Milk Cleansing, The Organic Pharmacy Rose & Chamomile Cleansing Milk and Dr. Hauschka Soothing Cleansing Milk whilst my all-time favourite cleansers were Skin Origin Cleansing Milk , Breathe Skin Therapy Moisturizing Cleanser Emulsion , Grown Alchemist Olive Leaf and Plantago Extract Facial Cream Cleanser, Edible Beauty Belle Fracais Cleansing Milk and Sioris Cleanse Me Softly Milk Cleanser.

After emptying the popular Shiseido Tsubaki Premium Hair Mask, it is time to check out another popular hair mask - Shiseido Fino Premium Touch Hair Mask. Both products are under the same Shiseido brand but Tsubaki is an instant hair mask with a lighter texture and worked instantly ( with a cheaper price ) while Fino is a deep conditioning mask with a slightly heavier texture and requires 10 minutes of application time before rinsing off. 

[ Review ] Scoop Wholefoods Rose Body Scrub

 

Product Description

Made using Australia pink clay and organic oils, Scoop Wholefoods Rose Body Scrub is highly moisturising and helps to remove dead skin cells while replenishing nutrients to the new cells below. 

I have previously tried out Acai and Maqui Berry Body Scrub and subsequently purchased this and Organic Matcha Body Scrub using my own jars. 

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Scoop Wholefoods Rose Body Scrub looks so lovely in pink and would make a great gift for your friends. And if you are rose scented fan, then Scoop Wholefoods Rose Body Scrub might make you fall in love. 

Unfortunately, this salt and sugar scrub's texture was slightly coarse and may not be the best fit for those with delicate skin. 

How To Use :

On wet skin, use a small handful and rub all over body then rinse off. 

Tip : for extra moisture, leave on for 5-10 minutes before rinsing off. 

Performance and Ingredients

Scoop Wholefoods Rose Body Scrub looks alluring in pink and provides a good exfoliating action with its salt and sugar contents, leaving skin soft and smooth. However, it came across as abrasive so it might not sit well for those with sensitive skin. 

Despite the number of oils in the scrub, it was not as moisturising or wet as I expected it to be, but only slightly moist. 

Conclusion

To conclude, Scoop Wholefoods Rose Body Scrub smells great, looks lovely, provides smooth and soft skin but can be abrasive for the skin.
