Cell Fusion C Laser UV Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++ is a hypoallergenic physical sun protector that offers effective UV protection with broad spectrum SPF50+ PA++++. It offers UV aging care to the skin by improving skin elasticity and skin moisture barrier. Features a lightweight and non-greasy formula that adheres on the skin seamlessly without caking and leaving a white cast. Hypoallergenic test completed for the sensitive skin.
I first came across this sunscreen in Tangs Singapore but wasn't intrigued enough to purchase it, however when I was in Korea Olive Young last year, the packaging that states it has been the #1 sunscreen at Olive Young and a proud winner in the Sunscreen Category at Olive Young Awards for 6 years in a row made me purchase it instantly.
Established in 2001, Cell Fusion C is a clinic-based skin care brand based in South Korea that originally provided skin solutions to healthcare providers. The brand eventually expanded its reach to general consumers by developing research-backed solutions for various skin concerns, like pH imbalance in skin. Cell Fusion C is widely known for creating patented ingredients, such as the NEO-CMS® that strengthens the skin barrier. All Cell Fusion C products are clinically tested and proven to be safe to use on sensitive skin.
Finding a sunscreen that offers both strong UV protection and a comfortable finish can be quite a challenge, especially for those with combination or sensitive skin. That’s where hybrid sunscreens come in, combining the best of both worlds with chemical and mineral filters to provide broad-spectrum protection while maintaining a lightweight, blendable texture.

Packaging, Scent and Texture
The Cell Fusion C Laser UV Sunscreen comes in a sleek 35ml tube with a sturdy screw-on cap, making it both compact and travel-friendly. Its lightweight creamy texture spreads effortlessly on the skin, delivering a smooth and non-greasy finish that feels comfortable even on sensitive or combination skin. During application, there’s a subtle floral fragrance that adds a refreshing touch but fades quickly, making it suitable for those who prefer sunscreens without strong scents.
How To Use :
Apply a proper amount evenly on the face and other body parts that might be exposed under sunlight evenly.
Performance and Ingredients
Cell Fusion C Laser UV Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++ glides on smoothly and absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving behind a light semi-matte finish that feels comfortable even in humid climates. While there’s a slight white cast upon application, it becomes minimal after gentle massaging, making it suitable for most skin tones. However, it may emphasize dry patches on dehydrated skin, so proper hydration beforehand is recommended.
On well-hydrated days, this hybrid sunscreen gives an airbrushed, smooth effect when layered with La Roche-Posay UVIDEA Anthelios Melt-In Tinted Cream, RMS Beauty “UN” Powder, and Guerlain Météorites Pearl Powder resulting in a soft focus finish and even-looking complexion that stays protected throughout the day.
That said, I noticed slight pilling when used after the Bondi Sands Thirsty Skin Hyaluronic Acid Serum and Jumiso Snail Mucin 88 Peptide Facial Cream, suggesting that it may perform better when paired with lightweight, fast-absorbing skincare products underneath.
With SPF50+ and PA++++, this hybrid sunscreen provides broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays helping to prevent sunburn, premature aging, and pigmentation. SPF50 blocks about 98% of harmful UVB rays, while the PA rating system, developed in Japan, measures UVA protection levels:
-
PA+ = Some UVA protection
-
PA++ = Moderate UVA protection
-
PA+++ = High UVA protection
-
PA++++ = Extremely high UVA protection
The 5 UV filers are....
Zinc Oxide : A physical/inorganic sunscreen with the broadest spectrum (UVB and UVA II) protection available today. It also has good stability and also works as a skin protectant and anti-irritant.
Ethylhexyl Triazone : A new generation, chemical sunscreen that gives the highest photo-stable absorption of all available UVB filters today. Also known as Octyl Triazone and Uvinul T 150.
Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine : A broad-spectrum ( full UVA and UVB protection ) chemical sunscreen agent which is also known as Tinosorb S. Hardly deteriorates in the presence of UV.
Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate : A new generation, chemical sunscreen agent with high UVA protection and high photostability. Also known as Uvinul A Plus.
Titanium Dioxide : A physical UV blocking ingredient, considered safe since it does not penetrate the skin and offers broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays.
However, do note that it also contains Butyloctyl Salicylate, a chemical UV filter not registered as a sunscreen active yet.
Butyloctyl Salicylate : Helps to increase the SPF rating and enhance the stability of other UV filters like Oxybenzone and Avobenzone. It is not reef-safe. Currently not registered as a sunscreen active yet.
Said to be the modified version of the chemical UV filter Octisalate which was created intentionally by the sunscreen industry to avoid having Octislate on the ingredient listing as a declared active and used by formulators to disguise the presence of a ‘chemical’ UV filter in mineral sunscreen formulas. It is also used to reduce the amount of inorganic mineral filters needed to get a desired labelled SPF and PPD rating. (source)

Conclusion
To conclude, Cell Fusion C Laser UV Sunscreen is a reliable hybrid ( contains both chemical and mineral filters ) sunscreen that delivers high UV protection, a lightweight texture, and a semi-matte finish perfect for daily wear. It sits beautifully under makeup without feeling heavy or greasy, making it a great option for combination and sensitive skin types. While there’s a faint white cast initially, it quickly blends out to leave the skin looking smooth, even, and protected.
However, those with dry or dehydrated skin may experience slight emphasis on dry patches, so pairing it with a hydrating products beforehand is key.
