Review of Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask With Rose Clay
Product Description
Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask With Rose Clay gently draws out dirt and debris, exfoliates to refine skin’s texture and visibly minimizes the look of pores in one simple step. Skin is left looking perfected and polished.

A 10ml pod sample size was part of my purchase in a Sephora Favourites Box some time back. Previously, I had a great experience with Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask which doubled up as a moisturiser for me but had a poor experience with Origins Mega Mushroom Skin Relief Mask which did nothing to my skin hence I wasn't holding much expectations from this Retexturizing Mask With Rose Clay but boy! how wrong was I! This was such an amazing mask!

Review of Origins Retexturizing Mask With Rose Clay

Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask With Rose Clay comes in a tube or in pod forms which are great for travelling. Mine comes in the 10ml pod which enabled me to use up to 5 times. It is originally meant to be used once but it was alittle too much for my skin, so I separated it to several weeks of usage as I only use it once weekly. Just be reminded to keep it in an air tight container to prevent the creamy mask being dried up. I usually store it in those empty round eye mask tubs like the one featured here - another way of repurposing them!

Performance and Ingredients

Origins Retexturizing Mask With Rose Clay Texture

Recommended to be left on the skin 10 minutes, Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay has a slight cooling sensation during application and tightens pretty quickly within 5 minutes for my combination with surface dehydration skin type. The mask dries up within that 5 minutes and it was time to rinse off.

If you have oily skin, you probably still can wait for 10 minutes before rinsing it off but for my skin type, 5 minutes is enough.

The recommended method is to wet your fingertips to rinse off the mask but when I tried to do that, I noticed that the mask doesn't even budge at all. So I use my preferred method for clay masks - wet cotton pads and clean off the mask before rinsing the skin with water.

Viola, you can now scrutinize your skin in the mirror! Pretty dramatic results, I would say! Baby soft and super duper smooth skin. The enlarged pores between my nose and cheeks were so much less visible like what the mask claims. My skin felt very clean as though it has done a deep thorough cleanse.

However, occasionally, the upper lips or the bottom half of my face ( upper lips to chin area ) felt slightly taut during mask application and after rinsing off. When that happened, I would follow up with a hydrating mask to replenish all the hydration as clay masks tend to be drying in order provides a deep cleansing experience.
