Andalou Naturals Avo Cocoa Skin Food Mask Review

Product Description
Andalou Naturals Avo Cocoa Skin Food Mask contains fruit stem cell complex and resveratrol CoQ10 blended with organic avocado oil and pure dark cocoa which are abundant in antioxidants and amino acids that help to nourish and deeply condition for luscious, soft, smooth skin that glows.

This is my 3rd facial mask from the brand after emptying Andalou Naturals Instant Luminous Turmeric & Gold Clay Face Mask and Andalou Naturals Instant Brightening Face Mask ( Pumpkin and Honey ), however, both masks weren't the best fit for me. Glad that Andalou Naturals Avo Cocoa Skin Food Mask didn't disappoint though!

Fruit Stem Cell Science is their signature innovation in every single product. It is said to be a super antioxidant defense system, multilayered and synergistic for the ultimate protection.

Lets delve down....

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Andalou Naturals Avo Cocoa Skin Food Mask Texture

Andalou Naturals Avo Cocoa Skin Food Mask is housed in a 50g jar with a thick creamy chocolate-y texture that smells absolutely divine and "edible", with a cooling sensation. It feels like smearing chocolate on skin which made me look forward to using it each time.

How To Use :
1) Apply evenly to clean, dry skin.
2) Leave for 15-20 minutes.
3) Remove thoroughly and rinse clean with cool water.

note : May be used 1-3 times per week.

Performance and Ingredients

Andalou Naturals Avo Cocoa Skin Food Mask

I first started using Andalou Naturals Avo Cocoa Skin Food Mask on damp skin but this made the mask pretty runny and thin. On the second time, I used it on dry skin but it caused a subtle itch on the right jaw and left cheek and after rinsing off, there was random itch on skin.

Thankfully, by the 3rd time, there was no such sensitivity issues and effective result still remained. My skin looked fresh, clear and bright with refined pores and slightly smoother skin. I prefer to rinse off after 15 minutes before skin starts to get taut as the mask dries up.

It requires more effort to rinse off, so I tend to use damp cotton pads to clean up, before rinsing off with water. A swipe with toner to ensure no remnants before I continue with my skincare routine.

I love using this the night before an event so that my skin can look its best.

The key ingredients are....

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice : Derived from the leaves of the plant; rich in vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, proteins, humectants, soothing properties with a pH close to our own skin.

Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter : Derived from the karite fruit on the African mangifolia tree; deeply hydrates and helps restore moisture and improve skin health.

Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter : Derived from cocoa seeds; nutrient-rich emollient, helps to support and strengthen while hydrating and moisturising for soft supple skin.

Resveratrol : Derived from red grape skin; super antioxidant complex helps promote firm and hydrated skin to smooth wrinkles and fine lines. Promotes improved skin health and tone by preventing collagen and elastin breakdown.

Ubiquinone (CoQ10) : Derived from fermented vegetables; helps support and boost production of the energy components of cells for smooth, firm skin.
