Made in Korea, Iunik Centella Calming Gel Cream comes in a calming green and white tube that dispenses the gel cream moisturiser. The texture is lightweight with a slight silicon-y consistency. Non-sticky and non-greasy, it has a gentle scent of Bergamot Oil.
How To Use :
After using basic toner, apply a suitable amount of cream and rub along skin texture from inside to outside, letting to absorb.
Performance and Ingredients
With an effective ratio of 70% Centella Asiatica Leaf Water and 10% Tea Tree Water to help improve sensitive skin, Iunik Centella Calming Gel Cream also contains 6000ppm patented sprout extracts like Pak Choi, Broccoli, Sprout Wheat, Clover, White Radish and Cabbage to protect skin from external stimuli.
I enjoyed using this Centella Calming Gel Cream because of its light and emollient texture without being greasy, sticky or too heavy in humid weather. It felt calming and soothing immediately upon application and skin felt comforted, soft, smooth and hydrated.
In terms of ingredients, the highest concentration in the list is Centella Asiatica Leaf Water as its the first on the list and adding on, all their ingredients have a low hazard score of 1 ~ 2 in terms of health, ecotoxicity and/or contamination concerns, according to EWG and Iunik.
That said, there is a small amount of Bergamot Fruit Oil in the formulation so if your skin is sensitive to citrus essential oils, do take note.

70% Centella Asiatica Leaf Water : Centella Asiatica is well-known as the healing plant used since ancient times, as well as the source of madecassoside, the star ingredient of popular ointment creams. It soothes weakened skin and helps strengthen the moisture barrier.
A research study demonstrated that it is effective in improving treatment of small wounds, stimulating collagen and improving photo-aging skin.
10% Tea Tree Leaf Water : Tea Tree was first used by Aboriginal Australians as an effective way to soothe irritated and sensitive skin.
6 sprout skin protection formula ( Pak Choi, Broccoli, Sprout Wheat, Clover, White Radish Cabbage ) : Sprout vegetables are sprouts that have been geminated for more than a week, When geminated, the nutrients needed for life support are aggregated and their energy is condensed into the sprouts. Thus, they contain rich organic nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and enzymes, protecting the skin from external stimuli.

Conclusion
To conclude, Iunik Centella Calming Gel Cream is an affordable gel-cream moisturiser with a lightweight soothing texture that would work great for most skin types, especially combination and oily skin types. Skin is left feeling soft, smooth, soothed and hydrated for my combination with surface dehydrated skin.
