Dr. Andrew Weil series for Origins has always been on my mind since it was launched several years ago, but I just never really got round to getting it, with so many brands distracting me. I was glad to have a chance when I chanced upon Sephora selling mini capsules at $5 each recently. Probably not the best value for money, unless you get the full retail size but it was a good size for trials.
Each 10ml capsule pot of Origins Mega Mushroom Skin Relief Mask provided me with 5 times of masking experience. There is no overpowering scent, and the creamy texture is easy to apply. However, there was an immediate minty and almost spicy sensation during application for the initial 1 ~ 2 minutes. I was so worried that it may left my skin feeling red and burnt but thankfully, that minty sensation disappeared thereafter, without any redness.
The mask contents literally disappeared into my skin after 10 minutes and it was time to cleanse. However, the hydration ability was pretty dismal, it was good for the night but my skin was back to its rough and dehydrated state the following morning.
Origins Mega Mushroom Skin Relief Mask scored 4.1 from 20 users on Makeupalley.
