The Inkey List Peptide Moisturizer Review

Product Description
The Inkey List Peptide Moisturizer is a nurturing yet fast-absorbing daily moisturiser with a peptide duo that helps support natural collagen and hydrate the skin. Peptides are small but mighty amino acid chains that support the firming, hydrating proteins for your skin. With continued use, these peptides help support natural collagen, leaving skin looking youthful and feeling comfortable.

I received The Inkey List Peptide Moisturizer as a Christmas gift from a good friend last year and emptied it recently. This is my first foray into the brand.

Founded in 2018 and made in UK, The INKEY List was born from a belief that better knowledge powers better decisions where products are priced to allow one to test and play with ingredients to build the perfect skincare recipe, for your ever changing skincare needs. Products are cruelty-free.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

The Inkey List Peptide Moisturizer Texture

The Inkey List Peptide Moisturizer comes in a 50ml white hard tube, that is not easy to depress when contents are nearing to the end. Despite being 50ml in size, it looked much larger in tube form and I emptied it within 1-2 months.

It has a white creamy smooth texture with a natural-occurring scent. There is no fragrance in this product.

How To Use :
On cleansed skin, apply a pea-sized amount to face and neck

Tip : Can be used in your AM & PM skincare routine.

Performance and Ingredients

The Inkey List Peptide Moisturizer

Peptides are chains of amino acids that support proteins naturally found in the skin, helping to delay the signs of skin aging. When applied topically they send signals to our cells letting them know what to do, and encouraging them to keep working. Different peptides can target different skincare concerns, from helping to hydrate skin to boosting collagen production to help firm skin.

The Inkey List Peptide Moisturizer contains 2% Royal Epigen which is a new peptide inspired by epigenetic science, controlling how genes behave and when they’re switched ‘on and ‘off to improve skin rejuvenation. 1% supporting hexapeptide hydrates skin, strengthens its barrier and increases collagen production. These are compound ingredients so on the INCI list you can see their individual component parts.

Royal Epigen is clinically proven to increase the speed of skin renewal for noticeably smoother and more even skin in 28 days whilst Peptides work to protect your skin barrier and help with nourishment

When I first started using The Inkey List Peptide Moisturizer, a zit appeared on my left eyebrow on the second day but thankfully, it subsided quickly and never resurfaced.

This moisturizer with its smooth consistency left skin smooth, soft, supple and hydrated. It pairs well with most serums and is a joy to work with, giving me healthy resilient skin.

Initially I thought this would be too heavy for my skin type, considering there's shea butter in the formula which may be more moisturizing than hydrating however, it turned out to be suitable for me ( because the stiff tube prevented me from depressing too much at one go ) and I actually enjoyed using it. That said, I didn't see any anti-aging effects even after emptying the product.

It is recommended to use it sparingly if you have combination to oily skin type, as it may be tacky on skin. Do note that the PAO is 6 months so it is best to use up the product within 6 months after opening.

The key ingredients are...

2% Royal Epigen P5™ : Helps to even skin tone and delay the aging of skin cells.

Conclusion

To conclude, The Inkey List Peptide Moisturizer works well for my skin type in humid weather, giving me healthy resilient skin that is smooth, soft, supple and hydrated. However, I hope the tube packaging can be improved as it can be quite stiff for depression each time and gets worse when contents are nearing the end.
