[ Review ] 100% Pure Hydra Drench Cream

 

Product Description

Replenish thirsty skin with the intensely hydrating 100% Pure Hydra Drench Gel Cream. Best for oily and acne-prone skin, the fast-absorbing formula has a soothing and purifying rosewater base. Chia seed gel is rich in omega fatty acids to deliver water to the skin cells, while hyaluronic acid locks in hydration, plumps the skin and speeds up collagen production.

Nopal cactus infuses the skin with antioxidants, and coconut oil and shea butter moisturise the skin, leaving it soft and smooth. These potent, plant-based ingredients help to encourage cell renewal and restore firmness to irritated skin.

As a fan of 100% Pure, I have emptied 100% Pure Vitamin C Mask, 100% Pure Vitamin C Boost, 100% Pure Strawberry Lemonade Jelly Scrub and 100% Pure Bright Bright Eye Mask this year. Adding on to the list is 100% Pure Hydra Drench Cream which is pretty tiny at 40ml for a moisturiser. 

Water is commonly used as the first (majority) ingredient in skin, hair, and body products. Instead of plain water, 100% PURE uses beneficial organic floral hydrosols, aloe juice, fermented rice water (sake), and tea. Every ingredient in each 100% PURE formula is included for its unique benefit, and a specific purpose.

100% PURE cosmetics are colored from vibrant fruit, vegetable, tea, and other plant pigments. These pigments naturally contain skin beneficial vitamins, anti-aging antioxidants, and healthy phytonutrients. Other cosmetics are colored by toxic FD&C dyes that could contain coal tar, lead, mercury, and other heavy metals.

Product Description

I'm From Mushroom Collagen Ampoule is a plant-based collagen ampoule that provides moisture and resilience to rough and sagging skin. This vegan collagen is contained from Tremella Fuciformis which is rich in active ingredients with antioxidant effects. The low-molecule collagen ingredient improves skin density which leads to healthier and firmer skin, but without irritation. Its texture is light, leaving a firm and supple finish.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

I'm From Mushroom Collagen Ampoule comes in a cute 30ml stump glass bottle with a pipette dispenser that unfortunately doesn't work well on its milky texture contents. 

[ Review ] Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner

 

Product Description

Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner comprises of two star ingredients: Fermented Black Rice and Hyaluronic Acid, which combine to boost skin with anti-aging and nourishing actives. Black rice protects skin against free radicals and helps promote skin cell turnover. Hyaluronic acid imparts hydration deep into skin, while added beta glucan and red ginseng extract heal and rejuvenate.

Haruharu's special Ultra Deep Technology (U.D.T.) combined with their special fermentation process allows active ingredients to be better absorbed into skin for more powerful results.

After emptying Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner, it is time to move on to Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner which was my second product from the brand, after Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Deep Cleansing Oil.

[ Review ] Geek & Gorgeous B-Bomb

 

Product Description

Geek & Gorgeous B-Bomb is a light and hydrating 10% Niacinamide (aka Vitamin B3), Zinc PCA & Sarcosine formula to help combination skin related problems, such as enlarged pores, oiliness & blemishes.

I received Geek & Gorgeous B-Bomb together with some other products from Worthee Cosmetics. Based in Malaysia, Worthee Cosmetics curates products that are science driven, fragrance free and with powerful ingredients. Shop their website for the products they carry.

Niacinamide is a multi-functional superstar ingredient that can normalize pores, soothe acne-prone skin, improve the skin barrier and even lighten hyperpigmentation. This formula contains a whopping 10%, ideal to improve the appearance of acne and blemish-prone skin. Zinc PCA and Sarcosine are added to help enlarged pores, oiliness and blemishes. 

Sounds like the perfect product for my combination skin but does it work? Lets delve down...

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Geek & Gorgeous B-Bomb comes in a 30ml amber-coloured dropper bottle with no fragrance and has an unbelievable lightweight texture that is so easy to layer with other products. 

How To Use :

Apply a few drops to the face after cleansing (+ toning and exfoliating), but before using emulsions and/or creams. Can be used either in the AM and/or PM.

It can be used on its own, or you can add it to another product as a Niacinamide Booster e.g. your moisturizer or our HA 5 Serums - just put a few drops of each into your palm or apply a few drops of them directly to your face at the same time and pat them on together. Please do not add B-Bomb directly to acids, such as exfoliating acids or pure Vitamin C - you can use them in the same routine together layered on top of each other, but they don't mix well directly (e.g. in your palm).  

Shelf life: 2 years from production (unopened), 6 months PAO (period after opening)

Performance and Ingredients

B-Bomb is gentle and non-drying though not particularly hydrating. I love the lightweight watery texture of the product, which sinks in nicely and integrates well into routines with multiple layers. The thin gel consistency does not pill and plays well with the other products in a well-rounded skincare routine. I enjoyed layering it prior to Geek & Gorgeous Stress Less for an additional layer of hydration.

Product Description

I'm From Mushroom Collagen Cream contains vegan collagen fully obtained from the nature-derived Tremella Fuciformis, that is also known as plant hyaluronic acid. This cream makes the skin firm and resilient by filling up the sagging and drooping skin as well as the fine wrinkles without irritation. The gooey and stretchy cream texture not only hydrates and lifts up the skin, but also leaves a nourishing finish without stickiness.

The first mainstream use of mushrooms in skincare can be traced back to 2005 when integrative medicine practitioner Dr. Andrew Weil collaborated with Origins on a fungi-packed lotion. The best-selling formula is still in circulation, and nearly two decades later, mushrooms can be found in a growing number of cosmetics, face masks, face serums, and more.

Studies have shown that mushrooms can benefit the skin thanks to their metabolites that can help fight free radicals, hydrating beta-glucans, melanin-inhibiting compounds that can help combat dark spots, and high vitamin D content to keep damage at bay. Beta-glucans, triterpenes, polysaccharides, and polyphenols (all found in mushrooms) have often been used to help with rosacea, sensitivity, acne scarring, and compromised skin barriers.

I have been intrigued by I'm From products ever since I came across them in Korea back in 2018.
