Product Description
Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner is formulated with a base of various botanical extracts to balance the skin’s pH level and provide full nourishment to the skin. It gives the skin a boost of hydration while transforming your complexion into the perfect canvas for your favorite skin care products to work their magic. It also contains nourishing ingredients that help prevent dehydration and irritations from flaring up, making it a must-have in our beauty stash.
I received the Limited Edition Sparkle Moments Box which was created to commemorate the sales of 2 million bottles of Klairs' best-selling products, the Supple Preparation Toner and Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop last year.
These 2 products were also highly raved in the Instagram community. I have previously reviewed Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop which wasn't a good fit for my skin type so this post would be about Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner.
Some of my recent favourite facial toners are Celimax Dual Barrier Creamy Toner, Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner and Mamonde Rose Water Toner, so does Supple Preparation Facial Toner makes the cut? Lets delve down....
Packaging, Scent and Texture
Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner is housed in a 180ml amber plastic bottle. Clear in colour, it has a thick viscosity texture that absorbs fast with a natural scent.
How To Use :
1) After cleansing, gently pat the toner on dry face using the heat of the palm to promote full absorption.
2) We recommend multiple applications on dry areas.
Performance and Ingredients
Free from alcohol, preservatives, artificial colours and artificial fragrances, Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner is a hypoallergenic toner with no alcohol and artificial fragrances, it provides moisture and balances the skin’s pH level whilst improving the effectiveness of the entire skin regime.
Beta Glucan, Lipidure and Hyaluronic Acid prep and deliver deep moisturization to the inner layers of the skin.
Other than completing the Primary Skin Irritation Test and Primary Skin Irritation Test for Sensitive Skin, Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner has been touted as a holy grail toner with 1 Million+ bottles sold since 2019.
I pretty much enjoyed using this facial toner from start to end. It has a light refreshing finishing, without making skin feeling tacky or oily, but just comforting, nourishing and calming whilst leaving it soft, smooth and hydrated. Just perfect for my combination-dehydrated skin type.
Supple Preparation Facial Toner can be used in multiple ways - as a regular toner after cleansing, layer several times when skin is in need of moisture and as a toner mask.
I use it like a regular toner ( pat it with hands ) on most days, layer twice if I noticed my skin is lacking in moisture or use it as a toner mask where I pour the toner on thin cotton pads and layer them on the face. You can also try the 7-layer method if your skin needs it.
This is a classic toner which would work well for all skin types, especially dehydrated or sensitized skin, however, I noticed it tends to pair better with products that are slightly drying. My skin was shiny if I paired it with Venn Age-Response Compound K Hyaluronic Acid Booster or Allies of Skin Peptides & Antioxidant Firming Daily Treatment which meant, they weren't a good fit in the routine.
The key ingredients are....
Phyto-Oligo - Moisturizes and soothes the skin
Hyaluronic Acid - A humectant that attracts moisture to the skin, preventing dryness
Centella Asiatica Extract - Rich in amino and fatty acids for anti-aging properties. Soothe redness and irritation
Beta-Glucan : 20% more hydrating than hyaluronic acid at the same concentration, it is a humectant, which means it not only provides intense hydration for the skin but also helps to prevent moisture loss. Naturally extracted from fungi that have toning properties that improve the elasticity of the skin, Beta-Glucan can also reduce the appearance of wrinkles, help tissues to regenerate while strengthening the skin barrier.
