After reading much positive reviews on Instagram, I purchased Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Deep Cleansing Oil on YesStyle ( Quote GALORE8 for additional 2%-5% off ). This is my first product from the brand.
With a name that means “every day” in Korean, Haruharu WONDER is a clean vegan skincare brand with products that contain only natural, plant-powered ingredients that have clinically proven benefits.
The brand’s solutions are made from carefully selected, EWG-verified ingredients, of which a minimum of 95% are naturally derived. Products also make use of patented Ultra Deep Technology to enable active ingredients to be effectively delivered to skin.
Haruharu WONDER focuses on two main lines: the Black Rice Line and Original Line. Packaging from the Black Rice Line incorporates the elegant contours of its key ingredient black rice grain, while the Original Line’s containers are designed to resemble takeout coffee cups in hopes that these items will help customers kick start their day with an energy boost.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Deep Cleansing Oil is housed in a 150ml clear bottle with a spritz dispenser that has a twist-lock mechanism. However, the clear bottle has a graduation tone on the outside, hence when the contents are nearing to empty, it might not be so obvious. Just turn it upside down to gauge the amount and you will do fine.
The cleansing oil is unscented and has a yellow oily texture that glides well on skin.
How To Use :
1) Pump an appropriate amount onto dry hands to gently massage over skin for about 30 seconds.
2) Apply a little bit of water onto hands to emulsify the oil into milky white and melt away all the impurities completely.
Performance and Ingredients
Simple but powerful, this Black Rice Moisture Deep Cleansing Oil is formulated with 95% naturally derived plant oils for thorough cleansing and long-lasting hydration. Formula includes skin care superstar Korean black rice bran oil, which comes at 100% concentration and is laden with minerals and proteins for extra skin-strengthening.
An effective makeup remover that emulsifies with water, this cleansing oil is part of my double-cleansing regime, whenever I wear sunscreen or simple makeup as it removes dirt and makeup easily, without causing any irritation to the eyes. Note that I cannot attest to waterproof makeup at this stage, as I don't use them.
It has the perfect consistency without feeling overly greasy but enough slip to glide on skin, emulsify with water and rinsed off cleanly without any residue.
With just 9 ingredients, the chance of irritation in this simple formulation would be much lower than other makeup removers with a long list of ingredients.
That said, at times, there was a subtle taut sensation after rinsing off, so it isn't the perfect fit for my combination-dehydrated skin type.

Conclusion
To conclude, Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Deep Cleansing Oil has a simple formulation and may suit those with sensitive skin with its 9 ingredient list. It is effective and gentle, but left a subtle taut sensation on my skin at times.
