Hailing from Korea, I'm From harnesses time-tested natural ingredients and extracts to provide clean yet efficacious skin care to leave your complexion revived.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
I'm From Fig Cleansing Balm is a 100ml tub of cleansing balm with an unique scent that came across as slightly stronger than preferred. A spatula is included on the protective lid, which I used to scoop up the pinkish balm.
It transforms from a sherbet textured balm to an oil, and then emulsifies to a milk to effectively wash off all makeup, dead skin cells, and other residue.
How To Use Cleansing Balm :
1) Use a spatula ad scoop an adequate amount.
2) Spread gently on the face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes.
3) Gently wash by massaging your face with luke warm water.
Performance and Ingredients
Vegan and cruelty free and formulated without artificial colors, parabens, sulfates, animal products, alcohol, mineral oils, essential oils, and silicone, I'm From Fig Cleansing Balm contains finely selected fresh figs grown up in a warm area called Yeong-am, South Korea. The sorbet texture of the balm removes make-up and impurities on the skin melting in order of balm > oil > milk as soon as it touches your skin. Fig Oil Water containing enriched keratinase makes skin smooth and silky even after cleansing.
It is a hassle-free makeup remover where it cleanses off all makeup effortlessly, however, the strong scent took me awhile to get used to it.
On dry skin, the cleansing balm will transform to an oil cleanser while on damp skin, the balm will transform to a milky cleanser to cleanse off makeup. I like to start off with using the balm on dry skin, massage, add water to emulsify, massage again and then rinse off finally.
Sebaceous filaments on sides of the nose came up to the surface where I will "clean" up with a cotton bud and the pores looked much cleaner.
There were no greasiness or stickiness. Overall, my skin felt soft and smooth and blackheads were minimized, however, it did left my eyes cloudy at times, when I used it to remove eye makeup. A cotton bud is also needed to remove the eyeliner remnants.

In terms of ingredients, the natural moisturizing factor in fig fills the skin with moisture and ficin, a proteolytic enzyme, breaks down into Natural Moisturizing Facto (NMF), which creates a moisture barrier on the delicate skin surface.
Fig oil water helps dissolve sebum, which minimizes the appearance of blackheads. In addition, it fades dark spots and calms redness for a more even skin tone. This balm is rich in vitamin and polyphenol which moisturizes and helps restore vitality to tired skin. Skin is left hydrated and soft after washing.
Conclusion
To conclude, I'm From Fig Cleansing Balm is an effective and gentle makeup remover for makeup and sunscreen, however, I can't attest to its effectiveness for heavy makeup or mascara as I wore neither this year.
That said, I didn't like the strong fragrance or how it made my eyes cloudy though. If you are a fan of cleansing balms, check out Banila Co. Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm, Kat Burki Vitamin C Nourishing Cleansing Balm, Three Aiming Cleansing Balm and Heimish All Clean Balm.
