I purchased Eve Lom Cleanser during a Luxasia warehouse sale last year (still expensive for my budget), and was using this once a week, with Make P:rem Safe Me Relief Moisture Cleansing Oil on other nights.
There are exfoliating properties with the muslin cloth hence I cannot use it daily as it tends to make my sensitive skin more sensitive. Using it once or twice a week is the maximum for me.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
Eve Lom Cleanser comes in a 100ml wide-mouthed tub, making it easy to scoop out the rich, buttery cleansing balm. The balm has a thick and luxurious texture, but it melts beautifully into a smooth oil when massaged onto dry skin.
The cleanser also has a distinctive aromatic fragrance that feels calming and adds a relaxing, sensorial element to the cleansing routine. Massaging the balm over dry skin feels particularly indulgent, making the Eve Lom Cleanser more than just a makeup remover as it feels like a mini skincare ritual at the end of the day.
How To Use :
1) Warm a small amount of cleanser between your fingers and massage onto dry skin in circular motions.
2) Soak the EVE LOM 100% cotton Muslin Cleansing Cloth in hot water and press it over the face for a few seconds.
3) The cloth should feel comfortably warm, never uncomfortably hot.
4) Take a moment to enjoy the sensorial ritual and inhale the botanical aromas before gently buffing away the cleanser.
5) Repeat twice with warm water before finishing with a cold compress to refresh the skin.
6) Skin is left hydrated, balanced and healthy.
Tip : Follow the massage technique for better circulation.
Performance and Ingredients
Eve Lom Cleanser is a five-benefit formula that decongests, exfoliates, tones, soothes and deeply cleanses to remove impurities and waterproof makeup. Its unique, multi-action formula brims with an exclusive combination of essential oils: clove oil to target blemishes and encourage clear skin, eucalyptus oil to combat toxins, hops oil to tone the skin, Egyptian chamomile oil to soften and sooth, and cocoa butter to condition and nourish. These active ingredients work together to craft a powerful, yet gentle formula with a proprietary blend of four aromatic essential oils to lift away impurities, even waterproof makeup for a radiant complexion.
The cleanser comes with Eve Lom's signature muslin cloth, which plays an important role in the cleansing process. After massaging the balm over my dry face, I wet the muslin cloth with warm water and gently press it over my face for a few seconds before gliding it across the skin to remove the cleanser.
Following the instructions on the tub, I repeat this process three times. For the final step, I wet the cloth with cold water and gently massage my face.
Using the muslin cloth definitely made a noticeable difference to my experience with the Eve Lom Cleanser. The warm cloth helps remove the rich balm more effectively while providing gentle physical exfoliation.
As I usually wear makeup and sunscreen, I followed up with my regular facial cleanser to ensure that all remaining makeup residue and impurities were thoroughly removed. I found that double cleansing gave me greater peace of mind that my skin was completely clean.
I also tried using the Eve Lom Cleanser without the muslin cloth, simply rinsing it off as I would with a regular cleansing balm. However, the results were less impressive. I found that a light oily layer remained on my skin, and it did not leave my face feeling as thoroughly cleansed.

To conclude, Eve Lom Cleanser offers a luxurious and sensorial cleansing experience that feels more like a skincare ritual than a quick makeup-removal step. Its rich, buttery balm texture melts beautifully into an oil, while the aromatic blend of essential oils adds a calming touch to the experience.
For me, the signature muslin cloth is an essential part of the product. Using the warm cloth helped remove the rich balm more effectively and left my skin feeling cleaner and smoother. Without it, I found that a light oily residue remained on my skin.
While the cleansing process is more time-consuming than using a typical cleansing balm, it can be a lovely option for those who enjoy taking their time with their evening skincare routine. However, due to its rich texture and aromatic essential oils, it may not be suitable for everyone, particularly those who prefer fragrance-free skincare.
