100% Pure is one of my favourite brands although not every product works for me so I was excited to chance upon 100% Pure Cocoa Butter Moisture Mask on Naturisimo.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

100% Pure Cocoa Butter Moisture Mask is housed in a 50ml tube but the tube is stiff and you need some effort to squeeze out the cocoa butter mask. There was a hint of delicious cocoa scent. 

How To Use :

Apply generously onto clean, wet skin – avoid the eye area. 

Leave on for 15-30 minutes before rinsing away with warm water. 

Note: can be mixed with warm water to create a creamier consistency.

100% Pure Tomato Lycopene SPF 20 Moisturizer is perfect for protecting your skin from the sun's harmful rays as it is packed with the natural power of tomatoes and lycopene. While it doesn't blend well for the face for everyone, it is perfect for keeping your body moisturized and protected.

This product has been discontinued and I am one of those silly ones who purchased it and hated it. I am not even sure why it was formulated in the first place, as this was a terrible product. Perhaps just for me. 

Even the description sounds like "okay I know my mistake but I will position it in another way so that I can sell the remaining stock" with its statement "While it doesn't blend well for the face for everyone, it is perfect for keeping your body moisturized and protected"

I purchased 100% Pure Tomato Lycopene SPF 20 Moisturizer at a 100% Pure Singapore bazaar and it was my biggest regret ever. I always love 100% Pure products so this came as a major disappointment. 

Manufactured in USA, 100% Pure source pigments from fruit, vegetables, tea, cocoa, and minerals to avoid commonly used heavy metal dyes and lakes. They avoid animal-sourced ingredients and opt for vegan, cruelty-free alternatives and their products will always be certified cruelty-free

As a fan of 100% Pure, I have emptied 100% Pure Vitamin C Mask, 100% Pure Vitamin C Boost, 100% Pure Strawberry Lemonade Jelly Scrub and 100% Pure Bright Bright Eye Mask this year. Adding on to the list is 100% Pure Hydra Drench Cream which is pretty tiny at 40ml for a moisturiser. 

Water is commonly used as the first (majority) ingredient in skin, hair, and body products. Instead of plain water, 100% PURE uses beneficial organic floral hydrosols, aloe juice, fermented rice water (sake), and tea. Every ingredient in each 100% PURE formula is included for its unique benefit, and a specific purpose.

100% PURE cosmetics are colored from vibrant fruit, vegetable, tea, and other plant pigments. Includes radiance-boosting green apple and grape, plus alpha lipoic acid (ALA) for fighting oxidative damage that can prematurely age or darken the skin.

I am always excited about using 100% Pure products and my most recent 100% Pure product was their Jelly Cleanser which I grew to love it. 

Packaging, Scent and Texture

100% Pure Vitamin C Serum is housed in a 30ml amber-coloured glass bottle with a pump dispenser and a clear cap. The cleared colour serum has a lightweight texture, a cooling sensation and a naturally occurring scent. It is lightweight and glides easily on skin.

How To Use :

1) Apply a dime sized amount after cleansing and before moisturizing. 

2) Gently press into damp skin of face and neck. 

note : Most effective when used in PM. Always layer under an SPF when applying during the day.

Performance and Ingredients 

Research suggests that when vitamin C penetrates the skin, it protects and improves it in various ways.

It is an antioxidant, so it can neutralize damaging molecules called free radicals, which accelerate signs of aging.

Vitamin C can also stimulate the skin’s production of collagen, a protein that increases skin firmness and elasticity and helps keep it plump and hydrated. Because of this, using a powerful, stable vitamin C serum consistently over time can help smooth out the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Finally, vitamin C can brighten dark spots because it inhibits an enzyme called tyrosinase that causes skin discoloration. Although there has been little research on how effectively vitamin C does this, one small study published in 1996 found that vitamin C reduced the appearance of dark skin patches or age-related freckles in 19 out of 34 people who used it.

Cruelty-free, vegan and gluten-free, 100% Pure Vitamin C Serum contains 2% concentration of Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, a high quality form of Vitamin C which is more stable as well as Vitamin E and Vitamin B5 to plump skin, improve elasticity and slough off dead cells for a brighter, healthier glow. 

Always keep an eye on the colour of the serum which should be very light and almost clear. Over time it will start to darken as it oxidises, much like a slice apple. If the serum has turned brown, do not use it. As such, I prefer to keep any Vitamin C serums in the fridge after a bad incident of a new Vitamin C serum which had darken considerably when kept in my drawer. 

100% Pure Vitamin C Serum is a gentle product with a lightweight texture and a slight tackiness. Once absorbed, my skin is much softer and smoother. I started to see a subtle improvement to the pigmentation spots on my cheeks after 2 months of nightly use. 

Do note that the PAO is 6 months which means that you need to empty the serum in 6 months after opening it.

[ Review ] 100% Pure Strawberry Lemonade Jelly Cleanser

100% Pure Strawberry Lemonade Jelly Cleanser is a vegan jelly cleanser that employs a blend of brightening fruit extracts to enliven dull skin, balancing the complexion, and gently strip away impurities. Lemon, Strawberry, and Goji Berry supply vitamin C and Ellagic Acid to gently strip away dullness and impurities. It's critical to wash your face, not just to remove makeup ( never sleep with makeup on ), but also to remove excess oil and pollutant debris that accumulates. This allows your skin to get the most out of the rest of the products you use after that. 

The key here is to only use a gentle cleanser that does the job without stripping or irritating the skin. The best cleansers contain replenishing ingredients that help to maintain the skin's delicate barrier. Because of how drying and damaging they are to the skin's surface, bar soaps, bar cleansers, and abrasive scrubs are the worst cleansers. If you want to feel extra clean, use a soft washcloth in conjunction with your cleanser.

I won a 100% Pure Strawberry Lemonade Jelly Cleanser and Jelly Jelly Scrub from a giveaway hosted by 100% Pure Singapore back in December 2021 where I also happened to be buying some of their Vitamin C products. 

100% Pure used to be one of my favourite brands where I have tried several of their products from 2010 to 2016 but formulation and packaging kept changing together with their increasing prices where I can no longer keep up to, and I have to relook elsewhere. 

I adore their products which smelled so good, worked well on my sensitive skin and each was a lovely sensorial experience. I wasn't expecting to fall in love with 100% Pure Strawberry Lemonade Jelly Cleanser since my finicky skin type can never take well to most cleansers in the market so I was surprised that I actually emptied this jelly cleanser.

Made in USA, All 100% PURE™ formulations adhere to strict purity standards and will never contain harsh or toxic ingredients. Their pigments are sourced from fruit, vegetables, tea, and cocoa to avoid commonly used FD&C colorants and heavy metal dyes while their products will always be certified cruelty-free.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

100% Pure Strawberry Lemonade Jelly Cleanser is housed in a 118.3ml clear plastic bottle with a spritz dispenser that has a twist-lock mechanism. The pink jelly-like contents are so lovely, and the scent is so fruity and uplifting, that I look forward to cleansing every day.

How To Use :

1) Pump onto clean hands; add warm water and rub hands together to create a light lather. 

2) Gently massage in circular motions over the face and neck. 

3) Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Performance and Ingredients

I didn't foresee myself using 100% Pure Strawberry Lemonade Jelly Cleanser right to the last drop when I first opened up the bottle as there was a subtle taut sensation on skin during initial use. I wasn't surprised since most cleansers were like that for my finicky skin type. 

Adding on, the lathering was very light with suds and felt so watery that I almost wonder if this might be too gentle for effective cleansing. However, I persisted in using it as I enjoyed the scent and it always left my skin soft and very smooth.

1/4 down the bottle, the jelly cleanser became less watery and more jelly so it seems like you probably need to shake the bottle before use, though it wasn't mentioned any where on the bottle or website. The subtle taut sensation was gone and I can continue using the cleanser. 

In fact, my bottle of contents don't even look like the illustration in the picture above as mine wasn't that full to the brim and it was watery at the top, which explained why the initial use was so watery. 

Nearer to the last 10% of the contents, the jelly texture became more difficult to be dispensed and I had to unscrew the cap and "hard-flick" or "dig" out the contents for use.

Conclusion

To conclude, 100% Pure Strawberry Lemonade Jelly Cleanser has been a surprising find, with its gentle lathering, beautiful colour, uplifting fruity scent while leaving my skin so soft and smooth. It is also natural, vegan, cruelty free and gluten-free. 

However, in terms of brightening effects, I have yet to see any and the price is on the high side which I can't justify paying $51 for a cleanser that will only be on my skin for 5 minutes. I used to be able to splurge on cleansers and my most expensive cleansing milk was $85 which I purchased twice - imagine that amount going to copious of cleansers instead of just 2. LOL

However, if you have the means, go for it, why not? Life is meant to be enjoyed, and every now and then we need to unwind and indulge. After all, isn't that what we work so hard for?

Loving the sweet scent of this vanilla bean hand buttercream that smells delicious and almost edible. At 59ml, it is convenient to lug it around during my Beijing trip  in the winter weather. Because the weather is just so cold and my hands is so dry, I use the hand cream several times a day. However, it is just not enough to nourish my hands.

In fact, when I came back to Singapore, my finger pads crack and flakes after 2 days and continue for another week. I continue to use the hand cream but it did not help.

I love 100% pure products for its skin-friendly ingredients but this hand cream is not meant for winter weather, to nourish dry skin.

Bet you must be sick of my proclaims but 100% Pure body washes are absolutely my favourites. The prices are not exactly cheap. Just 4 of them can set me back by $100 - motified! Hence, I don't get them often. 

I have been trying the different flavours available and my current body wash is this 100% Pure Vanilla Bean Hydrating Body Wash that smells so divine and delicious, like a cake. The vanilla whiff is just intoxicating! I almost felt that I am an edible cake. However, the scent doesn't linger so thankfully no insects will come close to me. 

I love pampering and nourishing body washes and especially in this hot and humid weather, one deserve to feel happy just being under the cool shower and fragranced body washes. I don't like over the top fragrances or artificial scents so 100% Pure Vanilla Bean Hydrating Body Wash works perfectly for me. 

As with all other 100% Pure body washes, the foaming texture is lightweight, giving rise to light suds but you will still feel clean. However, in terms of hydration, it doesn't feel any different, just that my skin doesn't feel dry after each bath. 

The pump dispenser is good, I can literally reach the last drop of the body wash. No wastage at all.

As one of my favourite brands for body washes, it is always a joy to use it. This time round, I picked up a new flavor - 100% Pure French Lavender Hydrating Body Wash. And during the purchase, I was informed that prices will increase in May. Haiz, as if it is not expensive enough.

With a pump dispenser, it dispenses light foams that becomes a foaming body wash with a french lavender scent. I don't like really the scent as it reminds me of a musty lavender scent but it is still bearable. Each body wash experience left me feeling pampered and nourished, knowing all the clean ingredients in it.

I like 100% Pure which is one of my favourite natural brands, for its awesome scents, skin-friendly ingredients and reasonable pricings. And so, with the 100% Pure shower gels purchases, I also picked up the carrot scrub since I was looking for one, at that point in time.
100% Pure Nourishing Carrot Scrub retails for $41.50 on the website but I got it for $28 where I was told that it was on 25% off. It seems like the price has increased.

The only complaint I have, is that this product has to be used up within 6 months and I barely finish 1/2 of it in the 9th month. I just find it wasteful to throw it away so I will probably be using as a neck, body or foot scrub.

It comes in a tube form and light depressions get the contents out in no time. The creamy and gentle scrub is a dream comes true for those who are afraid of abrasive and gritty facial scrubs. The smell is delicious, almost like orange danish, with a subtle hint of carrots. And the tiny beads in the creamy texture is hardly abrasive, in fact, you don't feel the exfoliation at all until you feel your skin's texture.

The first time I used it, I was really impressed, with its effectiveness. It made my skin smooth and soft without drying it out. However, with subsequent usage, the scrub seems to get less effective and sometimes I don't even get the smooth skin I was expecting to.

Due to the lack of preservatives, the carrot scrub can only lasts 6 months, which I am unable to meet. I only manage to use 1/4 of the contents in 6 months time, since I only exfoliate my face once or twice a week, depending on my skin condition.

I wanted to like this product but unfortunately, the results aren't consistent. I may give it a 2nd chance or may just look for another one, but I really like this carrot scrub for being gentle and almost effective. It is also 100% Natural, 100% Vegetarian and Gluten free

100% Pure Blood Orange Body Wash has a distinct orange scent that smells very citrus-like and is uplifting on a tired morning. Dispensing through a pump dispenser, the body wash does not lather but foams. 5 pumps are sufficient for a luxurious wash  although it also meant you get through the body wash pretty quickly, considering that it is in a 17oz clear plastic bottle.

The consistency is thin, like water and may not fit into most people's likes but I really like it a lot once I got used to the body wash. Skin feels clean and fresh without a layer of oily film on top.
And the pump dispenser is really great, as it reaches right to the end even when the contents are almost used up.

This is a highly raved eye product from celebrities ( Kate Hudson uses this! Dr. Oz recommended this on his show "Breakthrough to Eliminate Wrinkles" ) and of course, I had to get my hands on it. After so many years of seeking for that perfect eye cream that truly works, I thought I may see some light at the end of the tunnel, with this eye cream. So does it work for me? It does, to some extent but not really that extensive. I have been using the eye cream for more than 6 months on a twice daily application.

I have been battling with eye bags and dark circles for the most part of my life, mainly due to genetics. I also have some fine lines in these recent years. Trying different eye creams every 6 months is no joke, its a tiring affair when the result remained the same, although I stay hopeful each time.

Made in USA, 100% Pure products are 100% Natural, 100% Vegan and Gluten free. They do not contain synthetic chemicals, artificial fragrances, parabens or any other chemical preservatives, petrochemicals or any other toxins.

At US$19 for a 29ml size, its really affordable! And you only need a pea-sized amount so the whole tube can last for more than 6 months. Note that once the product is opened, its best to use it for 6 months maximum as what the label says.

The scent is lovely, coffee-scented aroma with a slight whiff of vanilla that is just so yummy on the senses. Looking at the ingredient list, you can't help but marvel at such goodness in a tube. Caffeine-enriched products have long been touted to help in reducing puffiness. In this eye cream, Organic Coffea Arabica (Green Coffee) Seed Extract is the 4th ingredient, with Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice as the base.

Being cream-based, I was careful in using it sparingly to avoid another scare of oil clogs/seeds around the eyes.

This product comes in a tube form as shown in the picture above with a cylindrical paper board container. It dispenses through a pressing motion which tends to output more than needed. The frustrating thing is that it broke down after the first press. While the pressing motion works, but it did not "suck" up anything from the tube hence I have been using it direct from the tube which may speed up the spoilage though thankfully the colour and texture remained the same after 6 months.

Milky white in colour, the texture of this cream is not as heavy as what a cream-based product is. It is creamy ( not greasy though ) but still lightweight enough to tap around the eye area, smoothen it and if you are lucky, fine lines literally disappeared for that whole day which is what I encountered occasionally. I thought it may due to my application but I have tried different ways without much success thereafter.

After application, eyes do look rested and refreshed, softer and smoother. There is a slight moisturising veil on the undereye area though.

However, other than that, there was no depuff of my undereye bags which was a major disappointment as that was my main purpose in getting this eye cream.

It scored 3.8 from 161 users on Makeupalley. I bought it direct from Purity Cosmetics for $27.30 when there was a promotion.

Containing much antioxidants ingredients, I know I am using good stuff when I am using this scrub thrice a week. The scent reminds me vaguely of drinking wine though I am not a wine-person. Its very sweet and overpowering at times.

The tub is huge and last me for several months. It is a mixture of sugar crystals with oils and the oils are mainly found at the bottom.
You need to scoop the right ratio of contents in order to get a less coarser scrub. The texture seemed fine but the sugar crystals can appear to be coarse at times, when you used it on dry skin or on under-moisturised skin or just the incorrect ratio of oils to crystals.

As you can see from the ingredient list, there are much oils in them, so its natural that your body may have a film of moisturisng veil on the skin after the scrub. Even my soles were slippery after using it.
I tend to wear bedroom slippers after using this, to avoid having oily stains on the floor.

Its been some time since I last used 100% Pure products. So when I came across that Purity Cosmetics was having a promotion on their body washes, I hauled in this Pomegranate Hydrating Body Wash at $21.10, down from the original $27 at 502ml size.

Made in USA, 100% Pure products are cruelty-free and their packaging is BPA and Phthalate Free and printed with biodegrable, non toxic soy ink. How can you not love this brand?

I love the delicious yummy sweet scent of Pomegranate. It comes in a pump dispenser bottle which dispenses the body wash in foam. How interesting is that! I usually pump 3 times of foam and lather all over the body. However, the texture is quite light and thin which some people may not like it that much.
There is no greasy or tight feeling after each wash but you are not overly moisturised too. Just a yummy body wash after a long day at work. I do enjoy the foam dispenser though, even though the texture may come across as too light. I love the ingredients from this body wash too.

Review : 100% Pure Pink Champagne Sugar Scrub

This was the last of the 2 scrubs I bought from Creme Parlour way back in June. You can read about more about the Mocha scrub here . This was highly recomended from the lady who owned Creme Parlour because of its fragrance. And true enough, it does smell heavenly. I love it initially but as time grew, I started to feel that the fragrance is too overwheming for me.
Pink sugar beads and liquid are mixed in the 6oz/170g tub. If you scoop up more liquid than the sugar beads, you will end up with a stronger layer of "moisturisng veil" on the body. I made the mistake once and I absolutely hated it. My body felt greasy and unclean.
So the right way is to scoop more beads than the liquid which is just nice enough for some people. However, it still does leave a "veil" on the body which I do not really appreciate. The sugar scrubs, in my opinion, is still too coarse for my delicate skin.
However, during the scrub, I do notice there is a glistening shine on the skin. After the scrub, skin does feel smooth and glowy to the touch.

In Singapore, you can get it from Bud Cosmetics , Purity Cosmetics and Creme Parlour but the prices vary, so do your homework first.
