[ Review ] : Naturvital Hairloss Tonic Treatment

I received Naturvital Hairloss Tonic Treatment from my mum who purchased several hair loss tonics recently to combat her increasing hair loss. It pains me to see her hair loss especially when I saw her old photos with thick flowing hair. This is a common issue affecting most men and women. 

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Naturvital Hairloss Tonic Treatment comes in a 60ml bottle ( also available in 200ml size ) with a pointed tip that makes dispensing to hair scalp easier. It has an alcohol scent with a runny consistency that is cooling to the scalp. 

How To Use : 

1) Apply directly over the scalp and massage with the finger tips for a few minutes. 

2) Do not rinse, comb as usual. 

Tip : Apply 3 times per week for 6 weeks. Prevention or maintenance apply once a week. 

Performance and Ingredients

Made in Spain, Naturvital Hairloss Tonic Treatment contains a Phytoactive Complex derived from germinating Wheat germ and Soya bean, which are boosted by Ginseng and Hops extracts, hence, providing the hair bulb with the energy and nutrients needed to strengthen and tone hair in its growth phase. Also contains Caffeine to boost microcirculation in the scalp.

Hair treatment products which contains alcohol tends to provide a cooling effect and Naturvital Hairloss Tonic Treatment is no exception. It provides that tingly cooling sensation once applied on scalp. 

Because of its runny consistency, do be careful if you are "dripping" the tip to your scalp as some liquid might get into your eyes. It happened to me once so thereafter, I just try to tilt the tip further away from my forehead edges to prevent the issue, focusing more on hair crown and the sides. 

I like massaging the scalp after application and the cooling sensation helps to invigorate the scalp early in the morning, before I head to work.

Like its claims, my hair is left silky and manageable and never greasy. Hair is strengthened and I noticed lesser hair fall. 

I may just get the larger 200ml size to experience the full effects once I depleted this.

Atopalm MLE Cream is clinically tested and contains patented MLE skin barrier protection and Ceramide-9S ™ to strengthen and maintain moisture. It also helps calm skin sensitivity, the over evaporation of natural moisture and protects from the stresses of the environment.

I get random eczema patches occasionally and Atopalm MLE Cream comes to the rescue by soothing and nourishing dry and itchy skin. It is moisturizing without being greasy and minimizes the itchiness instantly. 

However, I have to add on, it doesn't work every time but it does work 80% of the time so that is good enough for me.

Conclusion

To conclude, Atopalm MLE Cream is a lovely cream that is worth to keep in your arsenal for itchy, irritated skin days. It is also suitable for dry and sensitive skin  as it helps to improve and enhance skin barrier. The texture may appear rich but its not greasy and is able to provide that moisturizing effect. However, it doesn't work all the time, probably only about 80% of the time.

I have previously reviewed JUV Superfruit Water Gel UV Protection SPF50 PA+++  and loved it so much, hence I reckon I would enjoy the Vitamin C serum too.

Juv Superfruit Brightening Vitamin C Serum comes in a 30ml glass bottle with a secured cap and a dropper dispenser ( in a tiny paper bag ) was enclosed in the box packaging which was a thoughtful consideration.

It has a subtle citrus scent and the lightweight texture with a subtle stickiness glides on skin moderately well. Unfortunately, the colour was light orange instead of the original white as depicted in online stores. 

How To Use : 

Apply the serum over the face and neck after cleansing in the morning and evening.

Performance and Ingredients

Juv Superfruit Brightening Vitamin C Serum is said to brighten skin, smoothen skin, reduce wrinkles, tighten pores and balance oil. It is silicone-free, paraben-free, alcohol-free, sulphate-free, preservatives-free, mineral oil-free, PEG-free, colourants-free and fragrance-free.

The key ingredient, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate is the newest form of Vitamin C where it is made by mixing Vitamin C with Isopalmitic Acid. It can penetrate the skin faster than any other form of Vitamin C. 

Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate is soluble in oil so it is said that it can easily penetrate to the dermis offering the following benefits:

- Fights free radicals that cause premature ageing

- Boosts collagen production, keeping skin firm

- Increases UV protection, helping to reduce sun damage

- Lightens dark spots and discolorations

- Not irritating like other forms of Vitamin C

I was really looking forward to using Juv Superfruit Brightening Vitamin C Serum as my previous experiences with other brightening serums such as Axis-y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum and 5erenity2 Renew Serum were pretty good.

I have to confess that I kept this Vitamin C serum in a cupboard ( cool and dark environment ) for a year before opening it, as I am trying to focus on using up my existing serums before opening new ones but I regretted not storing it in the fridge. I read the packaging instructions when I first purchase it and it doesn't state that refrigeration was needed. 

After using it for a month and feeling iffy about using a year old Vitamin C serum, I decided to google online and soon realized that the serum might have oxidise during storage as I noticed that the colour shown online was clear. 

I wrote in to the brand, just to confirm my suspicion. This is something I would do for any skincare brand as I am usually wary about things that goes onto my face. Most of the time, I would get a straightforward answer so I never doubt so, for Juv Superfruit.

However, after several Instagram DMs to and fro, I never get a straightforward answer and I gave up. If they are not confident of their own formulations, then I probably shouldn't use it on my face. I just need a quick Yes or No, and I will use it for the body if its not suitable for the face, since I never ever waste products. 

I shared with them when I bought it, where I bought it, how I store my product and the current colour of my serum and wanted to know if I can continue using it for the face. And their questions/answers were so odd asking me questions like - what is the shelf life of the product, when do customers buy products? Does it make sense to you? Its your product and I am the customer. Haiz. 

An oxidised Vitamin C serum would make its skin-revitalising effects very limited, ineffective and may cause stinging on application ( due to the acid content and low pH ) as well as blackheads  ( because of oxidation that occurs with the oil on the top of the pore opening ) so its best to avoid using it on the face. 

Juv Superfruit Brightening Vitamin C Serum pairs well with The Vegan Glow Morning Cream to give rise to smooth and supple skin, however, I have yet to notice any glow to skin after a month of regular usage. With the relevation of the serum being oxidised made me less inclined to continue using it for the face so I will use it on the arms instead. 

I regretted not using it immediately upon purchase as I really like the ingredients and the formulation and it is money down the drain since I can no longer use it as intended. Its a lesson learnt. Reminder not to not buy more Vitamin C serums than required.

To conclude, Juv Superfruit Brightening Vitamin C Serum is a nice serum for smooth and supple skin but doesn't provide more benefits which may be contributed to its oxidised state. If you have tried this serum before, do let me know how it goes!

[ Review ] : IDS Refreshing Cleanser (C1), Refreshing Toner (T1), Intensive Moisturizer (IM)

IDS Refreshing Cleanser (C1) is a gentle, pH-balanced formulation that maintains skin’s natural protective barrier as this comforting cleanser quickly removes makeup and end-of-the-day residue from the pores without excessive dryness. Look forward to skin that feels thoroughly cleansed and cared for in just one wash.

How To Use :

1) Pump twice onto your palm and gently rub hands together to form a soft foam. 

2) Massage onto damp skin, avoiding the eye area before rinsing well.

Manufactured in Singapore, IDS Refreshing Cleanser (C1) is housed in tall and slim 100ml bottle that makes one think that it has more than 100ml contents. The pump dispenser is hard and doesn't seem to be able to be depressed fully down, which I am unsure if its by default or has malfunctioned although the contents can still be dispensed. 

The gel contents has a lovely citrus scent and I was advised by the IDS consultant to add water to the contents in order to produce light suds before massaging it on face.
