I purchased 2 bottles of JUV Superfruit Water-Gel UV Protection SPF50 PA++++ during my last trip to Thailand and boy! am I so glad I did, because I loved them so much! This positive experience makes me even more open to trying out more local brands when I travel. Unfortunately, they are not available in Singapore so this will be on my To-Buy list when I can travel there next time.

Packaging, Scent and Texture
JUV Superfruit Water-Gel UV Protection SPF50 PA++++ comes in a large box that contains a small 30ml bottle. In hindsight, I think the brand can save on packaging to get a smaller box but I guess a larger box probably has a better marketing and presentation positioning.
I love the cheerful vibe, which exudes from the packaging to its bottle. The 30ml vacuum pump plastic bottle comes with a nozzle that dispenses the lightweight beige gel-lotion contents easily. It has a subtle sunscreen scent with a cooling and refreshing sensation.
How To Use :
1) Press a few drop the sunscreen gel onto the palm of your hand.
2) Apply over the face and neck before or after make up.
Tips : Apply liberally before sun exposure. Re-apply as needed for prolonged outdoor activities.

I really enjoyed using this sunscreen and I am surprised by how much I loved it. I guess what made me pick up the product was its touted water-gel texture as I prefer lightweight textures in humid weather so what better country to get it, other than Thailand with its scorching heat?
The lightweight and almost runny gel-lotion texture was such a pleasure to glide on skin so while you can layer a few rounds without worries about pores-clogging but you need to be mindful of its slight white cast which requires some massaging to blend into skin.
On my combination skin, it oils up after about 5 hours of wear which is normal and expected. On optimal skin days ( well-hydrated skin ), there is a slight shine on skin.
That said, there was a subtle itch when I paired it with Real Barrier Extreme Essence Toner and Real Barrier Extreme Cream for some unknown reason.
At SPF50 PA++++, this sunscreen helps to protect against UVA and UVB rays where an SPF 50 product protects you from 98% of the UVB “burning” rays that penetrate your skin and PA++++ offers extremely High UVA protection..
For the uninitiated, the letters “PA” followed by plus signs (PA+, PA++, PA+++, and PA++++) on a label are a rating system developed in Japan to represent how much UVA protection the product offers.
This is a hybrid sunscreen which uses physical and chemical ingredients.

Conclusion
To conclude, JUV Superfruit Water-Gel UV Protection SPF50 PA++++ is great for everyday use as it has a lightweight texture and is non-oily. It has a light white cast so some massaging is required to blend it in. Adding on, it oils up after 5 hours on my combination skin which is expected for my skin type. Just dab the shine lightly with a tissue and I am good. This will be a repurchase if I ever head to Bangkok again.
