Everyone's skin reacts differently so I can accept if its redness or zits but inflammed skin?? Other than being prescribed with
Neoderm, I was also given
IDS Delicate Cleanser, IDS Recovery Serum and IDS Ultra Moisturizer to moisturize the skin, due to the inclusion of Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid works quite well for my skin so I was looking forward to using it.

Packaging, Scent and Texture
IDS Ultra Moisturizer comes in a 30ml opaque plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. The signature blue and white colours exude a clinical vibe like the rest of their products. White in colour, the lightweight texture glides well and doesn't have any scent.
How To Use :
1) Apply a small amount evenly onto entire face. Safe enough to use around delicate eye area.
2) Use once or twice daily, or as directed by your skin professional.
3) Always use sun protection before going outdoors.
Performance and Ingredients
Manufactured in Singapore, IDS Ultra Moisturizer (UM) is a universal cream with skin-repairing ingredients that is said to repair, restore, moisturize and soothe dry and irritated skin.
I fell in love with the product on first use, as I adore the lightweight cream texture and how it glides well, is scentless and nourishing. My skin absorbs the moisturizer instantly.
On my dermatitis-laden forehead, applying the cream made it sting and itch but I just endure to avoid scratching the area. Together with Neoderm, my dermatitis was soothed and minimized after more than a week. That said, it still flare up every time there's exposure to the sun, so I will depend on this moisturizer to give me the much needed nourishment.
IDS Ultra Moisturizer left my skin soft and smooth and pairing it with IDS Recovery Serum was a perfect match where both products gave me even softer and smoother skin. This doesn't apply to the dermatitis area as its still in recovery stage. However, since I used it all over the face, I can compare between the inflamed ( forehead ) and non-inflamed areas ( below forehead ).
30ml size in a moisturizer is quite tiny as I used it up within a month, due to my excessive usage on the dermatitis area where I would apply several layers at times. And because the bottle was opaque, it caught me by surprise when I couldn't pump out the contents anymore. That said, one can always open up the bottle to check on the contents but I don't like to do that to reduce risk of contamination.
In terms of ingredients, IDS Ultra Moisturizer contains the following....
Saccharide Isomerate : A highly effective moisturizer containing natural carbohydrates found in the stratum corneum of human skin.
Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil : A super ingredient with high levels of antioxidants, essential fatty acids and natural vitamin E.
Cholesterols, Ceramides and Free Fatty Acids : A skin-identical lipid concentrate resembling the structure of the lipid barrier in the stratum corneum – restores the protective barrier function.
Niacinamide : Increases the synthesis of glucosylceramides.
Hyaluronic Acid : Most effective in moisturizing the skin.

Conclusion
To conclude, IDS Ultra Moisturizer (UM) is a lovely moisturizer that is right up my alley. I love it so much - its lightweight texture and how well it absorbed into the skin, leaving my skin so soft and smooth. This product is also featured in my
Top 21 Beauty Empties I Loved in 2021.
However, I can't really agree that it helps to soothe dry and irritated skin as it didn't really make a marked difference to my dermatitis affected area as the area itches and stings after application. Overall, IDS Ultra Moisturizer (UM) did help to moisturize and nourish non-problematic skin and I would repurchase the product.
IDS Recovery Serum (RS) is an enriched serum to help reduce redness and irritation, stabilizing skin immunity and capillary integrity, as well as reducing the appearance of wrinkles and improving skin tone.

IDS Recovery Serum is housed in the same 30ml type of bottle with a pump dispenser that dispenses the contents effortlessly. Clear in colour, it has a gel-like sticky texture that takes awhile to be absorbed into skin. There is no scent.

2) Use once or twice daily, or as directed by your skincare professional
3) Always use sun protection before going outdoors.
Performance and Ingredients
Manufactured in Singapore, IDS Recovery Serum (RS) has a gel texture that sinks into skin after a short while, making my skin soft and smooth. I like pairing this with the IDS Ultra Moisturizer to give my skin that super smooth and soft skin. This serum goes on before the moisturizer.
It is also much appreciated on my dermatitis-laden forehead where the serum helps to minimize the redness and irritation for a faster recovery. However, like the IDS Ultra Moisturizer, this stings on the dermatitis area. Just endure for a short while before the effects take place - skin feels soothed, comforted and relieved thereafter.
While Neoderm is still the product that helps in reducing dermatitis-redness significantly, this recovery serum is a great addition for those battling with common skin redness associated with sensitivity.
Note that this product also has the same PAO symbol of 6 months.
