[ Review ] IDS Facial Scrub (FS), Non-Tinted Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA+++ (S2)

 

Have you been enjoying my reviews for IDS products? For those who have missed out, here are my reviews on IDS Refreshing Cleanser (C1), Refreshing Toner (T1) and Intensive Moisturizer (IM), IDS Moisturizer and Recovery Serum and IDS Delicate Cleanser, C-Plus and Dermashield Serum.

My last 2 IDS products are IDS Facial Scrub (FS) and Non-Tinted Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA+++ (S2). Lets delve down to see if they are my favourites....

Do note that the PAO ( period after opening ) for these products is 6 months. 

IDS Facial Scrub (FS) contains ultra-fine crystals that effectively exfoliate dead skin cells and speed up skin turnover. It also helps in clearing out impurities and absorbing excess oil. The result is skin that’s cleaner, more radiant and even-toned as well as soft and smooth to the touch. It is so gentle you can use it daily.

Benefits

- Reduces local inflammation

- Inhibits growth of propionibacterium-acne

- Regulates sebum production

How To Use :

1) After cleansing, apply a small amount to damp face and neck. 

2) Gently massage skin in a circular motion, adding water as necessary. 

3) Rinse thoroughly.

Tip : Use 2 ~ 3 times a week, or more if desired. 

It is always important to exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin cells and prep it for the application of other skincare products. For the past year, I had been enjoying Krave Beauty Kale-Lalu-yAHA and Dr. Wu Daily Renewal Serum which worked like chemical exfoliators so physical scrubs like IDS Facial Scrub no longer excites me although it still work to exfoliate skin.

Ideal for oily and/or blemish-prone skin, IDS Facial Scrub is one of IDS's highly popular products as they are touted to be gentle enough for daily use. Other than using on its own, the facial scrub can also be mixed in with a regular cleanser. 

[ Review ] : IDS Pore Formula (PF) + Rejuvenating Complex (RC)

 

If you have been following me for awhile, you know that I depend on my trusty Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Oil 100% Multipurpose Liquid as a spot corrector for any new pimples since 2014. A little goes a long way and the product is affordable too. 

IDS Pore Formula (PF) was given to me during my last collaboration with them. I am not obligated to review their products but as always, I like to share my thoughts after using a new product. I enjoyed quite a number of products from IDS namely IDS Recovery Serum and IDS Ultra Moisturizer and IDS C-Plus and now its time to review Pore Formula, another favourite product of mine.

IDS Pore Formula (PF) works to refine pores and reduce blackheads and whiteheads. It minimizes oil production without excessive drying. Formulated with IDS’ proprietary NEULASTIN transcutaneous delivery system, active ingredients are effectively delivered and absorbed into the skin.

[ Review ] : IDS Delicate Cleanser (C2), IDS C-Plus (C+), IDS Dermashield Serum (DS)

 

I received some IDS products from my First Visit To IDS Clinic earlier this year and on my second visit for Facial Treatment At IDS Aesthetics, I had inflammed skin due to the treatment and was prescribed with IDS Delicate Cleanser (C2), IDS Moisturizer and Recovery Serum.

I am not obligated to review the products but I will still like to share my thoughts after using them. You can also check out my reviews on IDS Refreshing Cleanser (C1), Refreshing Toner (T1) and Intensive Moisturizer (IM). 

Do note that the PAO ( period after opening ) for these products is 6 months. 

IDS Delicate Cleanser (C2) is a cleanser mild enough for sensitive skin as it lathers into a soft foam to help remove regular makeup as well as lift away surface dirt, grime and pollutants. It also contains anti-inflammatory and antioxidant botanical extracts to help combat redness, environmental stress and soften the skin.

How To Use :

1) Pump twice onto your palm and gently rub hands together to form a soft foam. 

2) Massage onto damp skin, avoiding the eye area before rinsing well. 

Manufactured in Singapore, IDS Delicate Cleanser (C2) comes in a tall and slim 100ml bottle with a pump dispenser. Similar to IDS Refreshing Cleanser (C1), the pump is stiff and unable to depress fully down and initially, I thought it malfunctioned but after experiencing that in the second cleanser, I believe that this is by default. Note that the gel contents can still be dispensed.

IDS Refreshing Cleanser (C1) is a gentle, pH-balanced formulation that maintains skin’s natural protective barrier as this comforting cleanser quickly removes makeup and end-of-the-day residue from the pores without excessive dryness. Look forward to skin that feels thoroughly cleansed and cared for in just one wash.

How To Use :

1) Pump twice onto your palm and gently rub hands together to form a soft foam. 

2) Massage onto damp skin, avoiding the eye area before rinsing well.

Manufactured in Singapore, IDS Refreshing Cleanser (C1) is housed in tall and slim 100ml bottle that makes one think that it has more than 100ml contents. The pump dispenser is hard and doesn't seem to be able to be depressed fully down, which I am unsure if its by default or has malfunctioned although the contents can still be dispensed. 

The gel contents has a lovely citrus scent and I was advised by the IDS consultant to add water to the contents in order to produce light suds before massaging it on face. 

[ Review ] : IDS Ultra Moisturizer (UM) + Recovery Serum (RS)

 

IDS products have been on my wish list for awhile as their philosophy resonates with me.

I have previously received some products from the brand and went for their 60 mins Hydro-Therapeutics Treatment ( HTT ) thereafter, but unfortunately, it was a facial gone wrong and I developed dermatitis on the forehead instead. 

Everyone's skin reacts differently so I can accept if its redness or zits but inflammed skin?? Other than being prescribed with Neoderm, I was also given IDS Delicate Cleanser, IDS Recovery Serum and IDS Ultra Moisturizer to moisturize the skin, due to the inclusion of Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid works quite well for my skin so I was looking forward to using it. 

IDS Ultra Moisturizer (UM) is a moisturizer with a thick, creamy consistency. Not only does it moisturize the skin, it provides effective relief to sensitive skin, visibly reducing histamine-related symptoms like irritation and itching within a few minutes of application. Ideal for damaged or sensitive skin, simply slip a bottle into your bag and bring it along, wherever you go.

Hydro-Therapeutics Facial Treatment At IDS Aesthetics ( Innovative Dermatological Solutions )

 

Its been more than a month since I last visited IDS for a skin consultation and I am back again to experience my first facial treatment with them. How exciting! As my last facial with my regular facial salon was almost 3 months ago, I am definitely looking forward to having my first facial treatment with IDS Aesthetic for a glowy me!

Personally, I found facial treatments to be therapeutic. Not only do they bring back the bounce in the skin, they help replenish the moisture levels, even out the skin’s texture and appearance and with regular visits, they may just solve your skin issues.

From having acne, blemishes, pigmentation, wrinkles or fine lines in your skin, to having firmer, clearer and healthier-looking skin in no time, a facial treatment is worth a consideration if you have skin troubles that regular skincare products just won’t fix. 

My Experience At IDS Aesthetic ( Orchard ) 

Upon arrival, the usual Safe Entry check-in procedures for contact tracing apply. Waited for a short 10 minutes before IDS consultant, Caline approached me and asked about my skin condition. I shared with her that my skin has been dehydrated and sensitive during the festive season and she recommended the Hydro-Therapeutics Treatment ( HTT ) which was one of the two options, other than the Cryo Therapeutics Treatment (CTT).
