Cana Pearl Collagen Essence Mask was highly recommended to me at Hebeloft so I purchased a box of 10 sheet masks to try them out. Prior to that trip, I have never heard of the brand. 

Made in Korea, Cana is known for using 100% water-soluble pearl powder in their products. Pearl is widely popular for its superior whitening and moisturizing effects from 20 kinds of minerals, amino acid, calcium and various bioactive substances. It makes skin bright while moisturises and nourishes the skin. 

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Cana Pearl Collagen Essence Mask is a box of 10 individually packed sheet masks. The material is soft, thin and adhere well to skin, with a small lip cutout that can be larger for a better fitting. You can always make some slits on the mask to fit it to your preference.

I received Klairs All-Day Airy Sunscreen from a Wishtrend Seeding Event and I couldn't be more excited. Sunscreens are an essential part of everyone's skincare routine and its always a joy to be able to find a sunscreen with a texture that makes you want to apply it everyday. 

Aside from that, it's always a good idea to have the brand guarantee that their SPF lives up to its claims ( especially after the SPF controversy in 2021 ) and you will be pleased to know that Klairs did just that.

[ Review ] Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask EX ( Pomegranate, Ginseng, Cucumber )

 

It has been awhile since I last masked. With some events coming up - 2 wedding dinners and 1 company-event dinner, its time to use up some sheet masks in my stash. 

I see a glow on my face whenever I masked continuously for 2 weeks so I hope to replicate that effect for this month. Check out my past reviews for the Tea Tree and Green Tea sheet masks. 

Made in Korea, Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask EX is ideal as a daily pack, and consist of refreshing water-types (6 varieties), moisture-rich serum-types (6 varieties), and rich cream-types (6 varieties), each with different skin benefits.

Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask EX ( Pomegranate ) is a moisturizing essence-type real mask, enriched with juicy pomegranates that leave the skin looking radiant.

How To Use :

1. After cleansing, use toner to refine skin texture. 

2. Unfold and place the mask on the face, avoiding eye and lip area. 

3. Leave on for 10-20 minutes. 

4. Discard the mask and gently pat for further absorption.

Product Description

100% Pure Vitamin C Serum is a lightweight, stabilized vitamin C serum that helps firm and brighten skin tone while promoting collagen production, and deeply hydrates skin with soothing aloe. Includes radiance-boosting green apple and grape, plus alpha lipoic acid (ALA) for fighting oxidative damage that can prematurely age or darken the skin.

I am always excited about using 100% Pure products and my most recent 100% Pure product was their Jelly Cleanser which I grew to love it. 

Packaging, Scent and Texture

100% Pure Vitamin C Serum is housed in a 30ml amber-coloured glass bottle with a pump dispenser and a clear cap. The cleared colour serum has a lightweight texture, a cooling sensation and a naturally occurring scent. It is lightweight and glides easily on skin.

How To Use :

1) Apply a dime sized amount after cleansing and before moisturizing. 

2) Gently press into damp skin of face and neck. 

note : Most effective when used in PM. Always layer under an SPF when applying during the day.

Performance and Ingredients 

Research suggests that when vitamin C penetrates the skin, it protects and improves it in various ways.

It is an antioxidant, so it can neutralize damaging molecules called free radicals, which accelerate signs of aging.

Vitamin C can also stimulate the skin’s production of collagen, a protein that increases skin firmness and elasticity and helps keep it plump and hydrated. Because of this, using a powerful, stable vitamin C serum consistently over time can help smooth out the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Finally, vitamin C can brighten dark spots because it inhibits an enzyme called tyrosinase that causes skin discoloration. Although there has been little research on how effectively vitamin C does this, one small study published in 1996 found that vitamin C reduced the appearance of dark skin patches or age-related freckles in 19 out of 34 people who used it.

Cruelty-free, vegan and gluten-free, 100% Pure Vitamin C Serum contains 2% concentration of Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, a high quality form of Vitamin C which is more stable as well as Vitamin E and Vitamin B5 to plump skin, improve elasticity and slough off dead cells for a brighter, healthier glow. 

Always keep an eye on the colour of the serum which should be very light and almost clear. Over time it will start to darken as it oxidises, much like a slice apple. If the serum has turned brown, do not use it. As such, I prefer to keep any Vitamin C serums in the fridge after a bad incident of a new Vitamin C serum which had darken considerably when kept in my drawer. 

100% Pure Vitamin C Serum is a gentle product with a lightweight texture and a slight tackiness. Once absorbed, my skin is much softer and smoother. I started to see a subtle improvement to the pigmentation spots on my cheeks after 2 months of nightly use. 

Do note that the PAO is 6 months which means that you need to empty the serum in 6 months after opening it.

[ Review ] I'm From Fig Cleansing Balm

 

Product Description

I'm From Fig Cleansing Balm consists Fig and Oil Water 7.8% to gently cleanse all impurities from the skin, and help with blackheads care. (Ingredient extracted by Oil Macerating Extraction Method - only by I'm From). It is rich in vitamin and polyphenol which fully hydrates the skin after cleansing.

This is my 4th product from I'm From because I am just so intrigued with them! This was a gift I received from Wishtrend with no obligations to review.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

I'm From Fig Cleansing Balm is a 100ml tub of cleansing balm with an unique scent that came across as slightly stronger than preferred. A spatula is included on the protective lid, which I used to scoop up the pinkish balm.

It transforms from a sherbet textured balm to an oil, and then emulsifies to a milk to effectively wash off all makeup, dead skin cells, and other residue.
