Made in Korea, Dear Klairs has many interesting products and I am always intrigued by them although not all work perfectly for me. You can check out my past reviews on Dear Klairs Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil, Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop, Dear Klairs Gentle Black Facial Cleanser, Dear Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Tencel Sheet Mask, Dear Klairs Midnight Calming Sheet Mask and Dear Klairs Fundamental Mist.
I received Klairs All-Day Airy Sunscreen from a Wishtrend Seeding Event and I couldn't be more excited. Sunscreens are an essential part of everyone's skincare routine and its always a joy to be able to find a sunscreen with a texture that makes you want to apply it everyday.
Aside from that, it's always a good idea to have the brand guarantee that their SPF lives up to its claims ( especially after the SPF controversy in 2021 ) and you will be pleased to know that Klairs did just that.

Packaging, Scent and Texture
Cruelty-free and vegan, Klairs All-Day Airy Sunscreen comes in a 50g sized slim tube which makes it travel-friendly for work, travel and office. Light yellow in colour, it has a lightweight creamy texture with a subtle natural scent that took me awhile to get used to it. It spreads out easily and absorbed well with a subtle cooling sensation and a slight tackiness.
How To Use :
1) After cleansing, perform the full skin care routine from toner to moisturizer.
2) Once the moisturizer is sufficiently absorbed into the skin, apply the All-day Airy Sunscreen over the face.
Performance and Ingredients
As the name implies, Klairs All-Day Airy Sunscreen has an airy texture that applies like a dream. It is layer-able and I have no issue in layering it on my face several times. Being a chemical sunscreen, it has no white cast.
However, it has a shine which I didn't like, although I can still minimize the shine under makeup but I can't wear it alone as it looks so greasy on my face. Adding on, it stings on dehydrated areas and pigmentation spots on my cheeks in the initial stage but has toned down thereafter.
With an SPF of 50 PA+++, this sunscreen helps to protect against UVA and UVB rays. An SPF 50 product protects you from 98 percent of UVB "burning" rays that penetrate your skin, while PA+++ offers high UVA protection..
The letters “PA” followed by plus signs on a label are a rating system developed in Japan to represent how much UVA protection the product offers.
This is what each PA rating means:
PA+ = Some UVA protection.
PA++ = Moderate UVA protection.
PA+++ = High UVA protection.
PA++++ = Extremely High UVA protection.
PA+++ = High UVA protection.
PA++++ = Extremely High UVA protection.
The sunscreen filters used in the formula are....
Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate : A new generation, chemical sunscreen agent with high UVA protection and high photostability. Also known as Uvinul A Plus.
Polysilicone-15 : A chemical sunscreen agent with UVB protection. It also help to stabilize the famously unstable UVA filter, avobenzone and works especially well with Ensulizole to achieve high SPF protection.
Ethylhexyl Triazone : A new generation, chemical sunscreen that gives the highest photo-stable absorption of all available UVB filters today. Also known as Octyl Triazone and Uvinul T 150.
Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine : A broad-spectrum ( full UVA and UVB protection ) chemical sunscreen agent which is also known as Tinosorb S. Hardly deteriorates in the presence of UV.
Consisting of Adenosine and Niacinamide components that help improve wrinkles while offering UV protection, Klairs All-Day Airy Sunscreen also include four types of berry extracts, Allantoin, and Macaroot extracts to gently soothe heated skin.
Aqua (Water), Dibutyl Adipate, Butyloctyl Salicylate, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Polysilicone-15, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Polyglyceryl-6 Stearate, Cetearyl Olivate, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Panthenol, Silica, Sorbitan Olivate, Dipropylene Glycol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Poly C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate, Polyglyceryl-6 Behenate, Allantoin, Caprylyl Glycol, Stearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Tromethamine, Adenosine, Cetearyl Alcohol, Disodium EDTA, Butylene Glycol, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Dioscorea Japonica Root Extract, Laminaria Japonica Extract, Viola Mandshurica Flower Extract, Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Lepidium Meyenii Root Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Lycium Chinense Fruit Extract, Fragaria Chiloensis (Strawberry) Fruit Extract, Berberis Vulgaris Root Extract, Morus Nigra Fruit Extract
Conclusion
To conclude, Klairs All-Day Airy Sunscreen has a lovely dreamy airy texture that was a joy to spread out as it layers well, however, it gave rise to a shiny and greasy appearance on my combination skin so it isn't my choice to wear it alone. The shine can be minimized under makeup although it isn't totally gone. Adding on, it stings on dehydrated patches and on pigmentation spots in the initial stage.
