Klairs Gentle Black Facial Cleanser is a low pH 5.5 facial cleanser that gently removes all impurities with a hydrating finish. With its creamy dense texture, it is soft and mild on the skin without causing irritation. A foam cleanser from Klairs Gentle Black Line, it consists of Black Complex - Tuber Melanosporum Extract (Truffle), Rubus Fruticosus (Blackberry) Fruit Extract, Nigella Sativa Seed Extract, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract to enhance hydration and healthiness of the skin.

Dear, Klairs Gentle Black Facial Cleanser is a 140ml tube cleanser which is heavy in weight. White and creamy in texture, it has a dense consistency and develops into a soft, rich foam for lathering hence you only need a pea sized amount each time. It has a very subtle scent which is hardly discernable unless you bring your nose close to it.
How To Use :
1) Dispense an appropriate amount of the cleanser onto wet palms.
2) Lather the foam by rubbing in circular motions then thoroughly cleanse your face.
3) Rinse with lukewarm water.

This Facial Cleanser is said to be gentle and is recommended for all skin types, including dry skin but I beg to differ.
If you are a regular reader of my blog, you would know my finicky skin type can't tolerate most cleansers as they tend to be drying so it wasn't a surprise that Dear, Klairs Gentle Black Facial Cleanser doesn't make the cut.
The moment I saw the texture, I knew this isn't the one for me. It foams and usually foaming textured cleansers tend to be drying. And that was what happened to my skin. There was a subtle taut sensation on my palms and my face felt dry with a stripping feel 5 minutes after cleanse-off which, of course, was an absolute no-no.
I thought it might be my problem so I passed the cleanser to my hubby who has a more resilient skin type. His face is oily and he can take well to cleansers which I can't use but unfortunately, he actually commented that this cleanser made his nose area peel. How strange?!
That said, Dear, Klairs Gentle Black Facial Cleanser is a pretty decent size for its price and it kept my skin fresh, clean, soft and smooth but its just not for me.

Conclusion
To conclude, Dear, Klairs Gentle Black Facial Cleanser is a great size for its price and since it foams richly, you only need a pea sized for it to work on your face so I reckon it can last for awhile. It kept my skin fresh, clean, soft and smooth but unfortunately, can be drying with a stripping feel so it isn't a perfect fit for my skin type.
Skincare can be very personal so what don't work for me, may just work well for you. And if you like foaming cleansers, this might just be the one for you.
My current favourite cleansers are Eucerin DermatoCLEAN [HYALURON] Cleansing Milk and Sioris Cleanse Me Softly Milk Cleanser.
