Lululun is the number 1 face mask brand with over 1 billion sheets sold in Japan so it was natural that I would pick up some of the sheet masks while holidaying in Hokkaido, Japan last month. 

I purchased a box of 5 sheets and gifted some away, leaving just 2 sheets for myself. I regretted not buying more because I ended up loving this sheet mask! In fact, I found it worked much better for my skin than the Hokkaido Milk Mask.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Lululun Hokkaido Premium Face Mask Sheet Honey has a generous size that fits comfortably over the face, with a slightly smaller eye cutout and a small gap between the nose and cheek area. The sheet material is soft, smooth and relatively thick, making it easy to apply and position without feeling flimsy.

The mask has a subtle orange tint, which probably comes from its honey-infused formula. On application, there was a noticeable fragrance that initially felt quite strong, but it dissipated within about a few minutes.

I enjoyed how comforting and refreshing the mask felt on my skin. The thick, soft sheet hugged the contours of my face almost like a blanket, creating a cocooning sensation that made the masking experience especially soothing and nourishing.

Although the recommended application time is 5–10 minutes, the sheet remained moist even after 20 minutes of wear. It did not feel dry or uncomfortable, which was a definite plus for me.

How To Use :

Cleanse face and apply for 5 to 10 minutes.

After removing the mask, my skin looked calmer, more rested and less tired. It left behind a silky coating that made my skin feel smooth, soft and well hydrated without feeling excessively heavy.

The overall effect was one of comfort and nourishment rather than just a quick burst of hydration. My skin felt replenished and looked fresher after use, making this a sheet mask I would happily repurchase.

Honey is a popular skincare ingredient known for its moisturising and conditioning properties, which fits well with the mask's nourishing and hydrating feel.

To conclude, Lululun Hokkaido Premium Face Mask Sheet Honey was a nice surprise. The soft, thick sheet fits comfortably over the face and delivers a wonderfully soothing and nourishing masking experience. After use, my skin felt smooth, silky and hydrated, while looking calmer, fresher and more rested.
