I received Benton Skin Fit Mineral Sun Cream SPF 50+ PA++++ as part of my Stylekorean collaboration last year, together with Jumiso Super Soothing Cica & Aloe Sunscreen and Jumiso Waterfull Hyaluronic Acid Sunscreen, Benton Air Fit UV Defense Sun Cream, Mary & May Cica Soothing Sun Cream and Tocobo Bio Watery Sun Cream.
For the uninitiated, chemical and mineral sunscreens shield the skin from UV rays in different ways.
Chemical sunscreens allow UV light into skin. Once light is absorbed into the skin, the chemicals in the sunscreen ( such as oxybenzone, avobenzone, octisalate, octocrylene, homosalate, and octinoxate ) create a chemical reaction in which UV light is converted to heat and the heat dissipates from the skin.
Mineral sunscreens ingredients, zinc oxide and titanium oxide are small particles that sit on the skin's surface and physically prevent UV rays from penetrating the skin.
In a nutshell, chemical sunscreens penetrate the skin and offer protection by dissipating UV rays while mineral sunscreens sit on top of skin and reflect UV rays away.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
Benton Skin Fit Mineral Sun Cream SPF 50+ PA++++ has a distinct rosemary scent. It is housed in a 50ml blue tube with a fine tip that dispenses the sunscreen well, with a subtle cooling sensation on skin.
The white soft and creamy texture is easy to massage and blend into skin, leaving the white cast to a minimal.
How To Use :
1) Apply onto face as last step of basic skin care.
2) Pat lightly until fully absorbed.
3) Apply evenly onto neck, arms, and legs where sun exposure occurs.
4) Reapply as needed for long-term sun exposure.
Performance and Ingredients
Benton Skin Fit Mineral Sun Cream is a physical sunscreen that features a broad spectrum SPF50+ PA++++ with certification from clinical test organization in Europe that helps protect the skin from UV rays. It is formulated with Witch Hazel extract to offer nutrition and promote elasticity, Centella Asiatica to restore skin’s oil-water balance, Calamine to soothe and protect skin, and Zinc Oxide to reflect UV rays. The natural sunscreen offers brightening and wrinkle care effects, and is made free of artificial fragrances, making it suitable for sensitive skin.
As with most mineral sunscreens, this sunscreen with its soft creamy texture has a white cast but tones down to a minimal after some blending and massaging into skin. The immediate shine upon application tones down after an hour which looked slightly better on my combination with dehydrated skin type. It stays matte with my RMS Beauty "Un" Powder for up to 6 hours.
That said, there is a smooth powdery finishing which cause a subtle flakiness on the sides of my nose although it is manageable.
And if you are sensitive to essential oils, do take not that this sunscreen contains rosemary oil and it stings on my skin at times.
In terms of UV protection....
UVA : Long wave ultraviolet A (UVA) rays penetrate deep into the dermis, the skin's thickest layer and causes premature skin aging, wrinkling and dark spots.
UVB : Short wave ultraviolet B (UVB) rays burn the superficial layers of the skin and is the main cause of sunburn and skin cancer.
PA : More + signs mean longer protection against UVA
SPF : Higher numbers mean longer protection against UVB

Conclusion
To conclude, Benton Skin Fit Mineral Sun Cream SPF 50+ PA++++ has a minimal white cast after blending in, with a manageable slight flakiness on nose. There is an oily finishing on skin that tones down after awhile while the sunscreen stings occasionally.
I have a soft spot for mineral sunscreens but this isn't something I would repurchase.
