In today's world, sun protection isn't just a luxury; it's a necessity. With the increasing awareness of the harmful effects of UV radiation, finding a reliable sunscreen has become paramount. Among the multitude of options available, sun sticks have gained popularity for their convenience and mess-free application.
This Cotton Soft Sun Stick was my top choice among all the sunscreens in the collaboration but took me the longest time to empty it, as it was used as the last step of my skincare routine for an additional layer of sun protection but I wasn't consistent with it.
This year, I used it as a base instead, where I applied it as the first step before my usual sunscreen and it fitted my skincare routine so well that I was almost sad I am emptying it so soon. This was my second sun stick after Acwell Dermild Airy Sun Control Stick SPF 50PA++++.

Tocobo Cotton Soft Sun Stick is a 19g product in a stick format ( twisting mechanism ) with a strong fragrance. Despite being blue in colour, it applies clear and has a soft and silky silicone texture.
How To Use :
At the end of your facial skincare routine, twist the bottom part of the container to lift a suitable amount of the content and spread along the skin texture.
Performance and Ingredients
Using Cotton Extract to hydrate and protect, plus a soothing Herb AC complex, the Tocobo Cotton Soft Sun Stick delivers powerful SPF with a convenient stick applicator. Anti Sebum P complex absorbs excess oil, leaving a matte, soft finish on the skin with no white cast.
The micro-powder texture helps with oil absorption and smoothing skin’s surface like a primer. I stroke it upwards akin to doing a face massage every morning, before work or during work-from-home days. This stick format is easy to apply, and it is compact enough to carry anywhere ( for reapplication if you need it ) while its non-greasy formula is perfect for everyday use.
Using sun stick is also my 5 prong approach to sun protection and pigmentation prevention where I will layer the sun stick first, followed by a regular sunscreen, tinted sunscreen, sunscreen powder and a layer of sunscreen mist if I need to be under the scorching sun for several hours. It has given me good sun protection when I go for long walks in the morning or having fun in Desaru where the sun rays are at its strongest.
Tocobo Cotton Soft Sun Stick has a velvety smooth silicone finishing with subtle sebum-controlling properties. Non-sticky and non-greasy, I prefer to layer it 3 times to ensure adequate protection and wipe it gently with a tissue after use, for hygiene's sake. I use this as a base and add on sunscreen if I am heading out or use it alone during work-from-home days.
Vegan certified with SPF 50+ PA++++ sun protection, it contains 6 UV filters and tested to be at SPF 55.

UVA - Long wave ultraviolet A (UVA) rays penetrate deep into the dermis, the skin's thickest layer and causes premature skin aging, wrinkling and dark spots.
UVB - Short wave ultraviolet B (UVB) rays burn the superficial layers of the skin and is the main cause of sunburn and skin cancer.

Conclusion
To conclude, I am very happy with using Tocobo Cotton Soft Sun Stick SPF 50+ PA++++ and feel reassured with its 6 UV filters. It has a velvety smooth finishing with subtle sebum-controlling properties which fit my needs. Do note that I only use it alone during work-from-home days and will top up with another sunscreen if I am out, or be part of the 5 prong approach if I am out under the hot sun for several hours.
My ideal sun stick is a physical one which I would be reviewing in a few months' time.
