The Skin Firm Long Wear Daily Sunscreen SPF40 PA+++ is yet another product which I was keen to try out, other than their Natural Micellar Water so I promptly purchased both products late last year.
Based in Singapore, The Skin Firm is a Singaporean brand and their products are made in Thailand. I love to support local whenever I can, so lets delve down to my review on their popular sunscreen which I manage to empty in 4 months.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
The Skin Firm Long Wear Daily Sunscreen SPF40 PA+++ comes in a tiny 30ml opaque plastic bottle with a small pointed tip nozzle and printed with lovely pink and black fonts exuding a feminine minimalistic vibe. The tiny portable size with the tip nozzle also makes it a great travel companion without worries about spillage.
That said, several light depressions are required at times to dispense the contents out, especially if you have not use the product for some time and left it standing. A quick shake of the bottle with some light depressions would shorten the dispensing process.

White in colour, Long Wear Daily Sunscreen SPF40 PA+++ has a soft creamy texture with a subtle scent.
How To Use :
Spread 1-2 pea-sized drops of sunscreen all over face and neck as a final step in skincare for a matte finish, before makeup application.

Suitable even for sensitive skin, The Skin Firm Long Wear Daily Sunscreen SPF40 PA+++ is said to form a shield with micronised natural ingredients that sits on your skin. The formulation is free from harmful chemical sunscreen ingredients that are absorbed into your skin and bloodstream, causing irritation and zits.
According to Skin Firm, chemical sunscreens work by soaking up rays, dispersing heat into our skin that actually amps up melanin production hence physical sunscreen would be a better choice. ( This is a continuous debate where some chemists have deemed the increased melanin caused by chemical sunscreens as a myth - please do your own research. )
With 0% alcohol, oxybenzone, octinoxate, parabens, fragrances and animal testing, The Skin Firm Long Wear Daily Sunscreen SPF40 PA+++ applies with an on obvious white cast and requires some time and effort for continuous massaging to blend the white cast into the skin especially if you accidentally dispense too much. The white cast is expected since this is a 100% physical sunscreen, so its a matter of how much you are willing to accept.
While I adore the soft and creamy texture, it is slightly drying with a drying after-feel on palms immediately after application so I have to ensure to use it on well-hydrated skin, else there would be flakiness on my nose and chin on dehydrated skin days.
It is non-greasy and non-sticky and may work great for those with oily skin or fairer skin tones. Even though it is also said to contain instant brightening properties to even out skin tones but I can't really tell if that is indeed from the "brightening properties" or from the white cast.

To conclude, while I am a fan of physical sunscreens but The Skin Firm Long Wear Daily Sunscreen SPF40 PA+++ can be slightly drying on my combination-dehydrated skin and has an obvious white cast so it won't be a repurchase for me, however, I reckon it may just work well for those with oily skin. At 30ml size, it is small, portable and is priced reasonably.
