Barr Cosmetics Super Green Deep Energy Ampoule Review
Product Description
Barr Cosmetics Super Green Deep Energy Ampoule is a cruelty-free and vegan ampoule formulated with 60% organic Heartleaf Extract that helps soothe and calm irritated, reddish skin. Features 20% Mugwort Extract that nourishes and hydrates sensitive and acne prone skin and 0.1% Panthenol that helps form a moisture barrier to protect the skin from moisture loss.

This product comes from the set of goodies I won from Barr Cosmetics' giveaway and I am thankful for that. Barr has created the Super Deep Green Energy line, designed to pamper sensitive skin that may experience shine, excess sebum, pimple breakouts or even acne.

I paired this serum with Barr Cosmetics Super Green Deep Energy Cream which I loved!

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Barr Cosmetics Super Green Deep Energy Ampoule Texture

Barr Cosmetics Super Green Deep Energy Ampoule is a 30ml clear bottle with a sticky gel texture ampoule. It has no scent and feels calming upon first touch.

How To Use :
Apply a moderate amount evenly over the face and pat lightly for better absorption.

Performance and Ingredients

Barr Cosmetics Super Green Deep Energy Ampoule contains 60% Houttuynia Cordata Extract, a powerful antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory plant that’s perfect to soothe irritated or blemished skin, as well as to regulate sebum levels. It also contains 20% Artemisia extracts, which soothes redness and helps heal pimples, 0.1% Panthenol or pro-vitamin B5, which soothes, protects and restores the skin and 0.1% Allantoin, which promotes cell turnover.

The ampoule feels calming and soothing upon instant application, however, I am not a fan of its sticky gel texture, despite appearing lightweight in appearance.

It stung on the nostrils during the initial usage and I stopped using it for a couple of weeks before resuming. The stinging sensation became more subtle then but strangely, any product use after the ampoule stung my skin which made me stop using it for a month before resuming for the second time.

Thankfully, there was no stinging effect then but I had some breakouts on the eyebrows and nose which subsided after a week.

Overall, I didn't have much luck in using this product. I didn't notice any spectacular difference in sebum regulation or healing pimples. It felt calming and soothing but it does nothing to the random redness on my skin.

On the contrary, Barr Cosmetics Super Green Deep Energy Cream was a winner in my heart.

Conclusion

To conclude, Barr Cosmetics Super Green Deep Energy Ampoule wasn't impressive for me. It didn't do anything except stinging and giving me breakouts. It felt calming and soothing but does nothing to calm the redness on my skin.

Most products which contain Houttuynia Cordata Extract didn't perform up to par, except for Rovectin Lotus Water Calming Sheet Mask which is one of my Top 23 products in 2022!
