Allies of Skin Retinal & Peptides Repair Night Cream is housed in a glossy black 50ml sized tube with a luxe vibe.
It has a yellow buttery texture, almost similar to Allies of Skin Peptides & Omegas Firming Eye Cream and doesn't have much of a scent.
How To Use :
1) After cleansing and misting or toning, apply 4 pumps to your face, neck, and eye area.
2) You should use it the same way as a night moisturiser, so don't forget to layer your favourite serum before this product.
3) If you are using a facial oil, you can also mix a few drops and apply in one easy step. Always use SPF the morning after.
Note : Due to the Retinal content, this formula is not recommended if pregnant/breastfeeding.

Formulated without Silicones, Sulfates, Denatured Alcohol, Synthetic Dyes & Fragrances, Allies of Skin Retinal & Peptides Repair Night Cream has a buttery texture that absorbed well but left a shine on the skin which thankfully looked less greasy than Allies of Skin Peptides & Antioxidant Firming Daily Treatment.
Note that Retinal is more potent than Retinol, which has traditionally been used in over-the-counter retinoid products. Retinal is recommended for those who have ‘graduated’ retinol products and are looking for a little extra ‘kick’ in targeting the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and skin discoloration.
I considered myself as a retinol beginner as I have not tried many ( 5erenity2 Renew Serum, Sisters By Pearry's First Care Essence and Somethinc 1% Pure Retinol + Squalane ) so thankfully, this worked very well for me without any serious dryness and irritation on my sensitive skin.
Allies of Skin Retinal & Peptides Repair Night Cream was slightly drying during my initial use, as well as when I used it every night or irritated with redness around nose and lips when I used it on consecutive nights.
The sweet spot for me is to use it twice a week at night with a lightweight hydrating serum, to achieve that clear, fresh, glowing and very smooth skin the following morning.
I paired with different hydrating serums and By Wishtrend Hydra Enriched Ampoule and Venn Age Response Compound K Hyaluronic Acid Booster made the cut while Somethinc Supple Power Hyaluronic 9+ Onsen Essence Toner and Barr Cosmetics Super Green Deep Energy Ampoule were not ideal.
The PAO is 9 months so make sure to use up the product within 9 months after opening.
Unfortunately, the pump dispenser malfunctioned when the product is about 50% left, but I naively thought the contents were depleting and was trying to save the last bits for reviewing. By the time I reviewed the product, decant the remaining cream onto another tub, only to realize there were so much left and 9 months PAO was over. Urgh.

With twice a week night use and paired with an ideal hydrating serum, it left me with a clear, fresh, glowing and very smooth skin the following morning.
I enjoyed using this product and would recommend it for those looking for a retinol or retinal product. If you ever need to get that one Allies of Skin product then this is the one. However, do note that at times, the pump might not work too well, so I hope the brand improves that aspect, considering the price paid.
