I purchased Cult Beauty The Volume Edit which consists of Virtue Flourish Shampoo 60ml & Virtue Flourish Conditioner 60ml, together with other hair products.
Prior to this purchase, I have never heard of Virtue as the brand is not available in Singapore. Hailing from USA, Virtue is built by a team of believers, optimists, and do-gooders who strive to make a real, impactful difference and make products that deliver on what they promise.

1) Work a quarter-sized amount of shampoo into a lather between palms.
2) Apply to wet hair and massage into scalp, starting at the nape of your neck, and work the lather through ends.

Virtue Flourish Shampoo has a fragrance that is described like a gentle, spa-like blend of aromatic herbs, bright citrus, clean flowers, and balancing woods, with basil and patchouli essential oils for scalp care and healthy hair. Indeed, it smells lovely and is soothing to the senses.
Free of parabens, formaldehydes, phthalates, hydroquinone, sulfates SLS & SLES, triclocarban, and triclosan, it is also vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free, and comes in recyclable packaging.
This gentle shampoo is said to support healthy growth and thickness by clearing debris from the follicle, balancing the microbiome, and nourishing hair and scalp with Alpha Keratin 60ku CLINICAL® protein and other fast-acting ingredients which is recommended for anyone with thinning hair.
When I first started using it ( light yellow in colour ), there was initial hair fall which gradually decreases, however, the hair fall came back with a revenge, with up to 30 hair strands lost during each wash. The hairs on the bathroom floor were obvious so I am disappointed to say that this shampoo didn't work in reducing hair loss for my thick hair with subtle thinning crown.
As a shampoo, it lathers very well with suds and cleanses effectively where it stayed clean for another 2 days ( when I am lounging at home ) till the next wash. However, it was slightly drying where my hair felt like a "slight lumpy-pasta" during lathering and rinsing which may have contributed to the hair fall.
My hair was dry due to frequent colouring hence a conditioner is highly recommended to be used with the shampoo, but overall, this shampoo isn't for my hair type.
Using Virtue Flourish Conditioner together with the shampoo, or after shampoo-ing did not help decrease the hair fall, however, using Shiseido Tsubaki Premium Hair Mask as a pre-shampoo treat helps alot.
Simply apply the hair mask on the hair ends, followed by Flourish shampoo and rinse off - viola, you can see that the hair fall has decreased by 3/4, as compared to using Flourish Conditioner in the exact same manner.

Virtue Flourish Conditioner has the same scent as the shampoo, described as a gentle, spa-like blend of aromatic herbs, bright citrus, clean flowers, and balancing woods, with basil and patchouli essential oils for scalp care and healthy hair.
As the shampoo can be pretty drying, a conditioner is much needed, especially for my dry tresses. Initially, I started off using the creamy conditioner as a pre-shampoo treatment, where I applied the conditioner on my hair ends, followed by the shampoo and rinsed off all together, where there were hair fall.
Thereafter, I use this after rinsing off the shampoo but the hair fall continued after rinsing off the conditioner.
That said, the conditioner did left my hair feeling so soft, smooth and shiny but unfortunately, the hair fall horror isn't for me.
