Physician Formula Happy Booster Blush ( Rose ) Review

Its been a while since I last reviewed any blushers as it usually took me a long time to even create a dent in it, especially since I don't use blusher on a regular basis, except during the weekends. The branding and hype surrounding the Happy Booster Blusher certainly works to its advantage as that is what made me purchase it too. The hearts illustration, the happy boost blend and the sweet colour.

Hailing from America, the brand is started by leading allergist Dr. Frank Crandall, where products are known to be safe for sensitive skin and eyes and are created without any of the 150+ known harsh ingredients found in other personal care items. ( Physicians Formula never declare what are the 150+ known irritants on their website though ). You can check out their wide-ranging products here.

Physician Formula Happy Booster Blush ( Rose ) with Brush

Physician Formula Happy Booster Blush ( Rose ) is contained in a 2 layer compartment where the lower layer is a mirror and a brush. It makes travelling and touch-ups fuss-free although I don't really fancy the free brush as its pretty small, flat and slightly scratchy to make swirling among all the shades a beautiful affair.

What really sets it apart from other blushes is the hearts illustration and the inclusion of the scent that is suppose to make one happy. Unlike some other blushers with pretty motifs on the surface that get messed up once you use it, the sweet hearts on Physician Formula Happy Booster Blush is not. It runs deeply into the powder and the motifs still stay intact after many uses, as shown on mine.

The hearts really does look adorable and the claims to mimic endorphins makes me curious, so much so, that I wanted to try it too. Unfortunately, I don't really smell any sweet or soothing scents to make me feel happy. It is just like any other blushes in the market. I don't feel any difference in the happiness meter during and after using it.

Physician Formula Happy Booster Blush ( Rose ) colour

The colours looked beautiful in the pan. It has some subtle light shimmers and do not really exacerbate any blemishes or large pores but unfortunately, the colours just do not look good on my fair skin.

I prefer using my regular blusher brush to swirl among all the colours and glide it on the cheeks. However, the colours just looked murky on my cheeks, instead of the glow which I was expecting from the colours.

Next, I tried avoiding the darker shades and picked up the lighter pink shades - it requires time to build up and if not careful, one may suddenly look "clownish". It is just too much trouble for someone who don't spend much time on applying blushers.
