However, the odd name makes me wonder if the scrub cream is supposed to be used for 7 days straight, 1 week to be exact but since there is no description on the website or on the product that mentioned it, I used it twice a week like a regular scrub.
Using silica to provide gentle exfoliation in this water-based cream, the scrubbing effect seems so mild that it feels almost ineffective but in actual fact, it does work.
It works because the broken capillaries on the sides of my nose turned red each time, after an exfoliation session which simply meant that the scrub cream really does its job. Thankfully, after the initial few sessions, my skin no longer turned red. It contains very tiny and fine particles which you can't see with the naked eye but you can feel it during the scrubbing motion.
Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream makes my skin smoother but the effect is not very pronounced if you have already been doing exfoliation regularly. I only noticed the remarkable super smooth effect after I came back from 8 day trip ( no exfoliation during the trip ) and used the scrub the following day. My skin felt super smooth to the touch. Pores on my nose looked smaller too.
Unfortunately, what I can't get past, is the horrible scent. It took me a long time before I can use it normally ( I hold my breath when I use it initially ).
Note that the original version contained polyethylene ( plastic ) microbeads which is bad for the environment and the skin, but now it has reformulated its formula to using silica grains which is good news!
