US On Earth 6-Effector Soft Marine Water Essence is an all in one whitening and repair essence, containing botanical extracts with functional ingredients.

Hailing from Korea, US On Earth 6-Effector Soft Marine Water Essence is made up of 85% Deep Ocean Water from Donghae with rose water and algae extract. It is said to hydrate and repair, with whitening and anti-wrinkle benefits due to a vitamin complex ( Vitamin B3, B5 & C ) with Hyaluronic Acid and EGF ( Epidermal Growth Factor ) as well as a patented ingredient, ELL-6 Perfect ( Aureobasidium Pullulans Ferment) for anti-inflammation, antioxidant, skin renewal, whitening and hydration. All the ingredients used are EWG Green with 0-2 score.
Housed in an eco-friendly packaging with the bottle made of corn, a 100% biodegradable plastic known as PLA ( polylactic acid made from renewable resources ) and the cap made of 100% recycled plastic known as PCR ( post consumer resin ), the essence, with a subtle floral scent, is unbelievably lightweight like water and sinks beautifully into the skin with a slight cooling sensation.
I use it both ways
- after toner and before moisturiser.
- directly after cleansing ( in replace of toner and serum ) and before moisturiser.
As the opening on the dispenser is rather small, you need to "flick" the contents out and then tap tap on the skin which isn't my favourite method to use as its time consuming, so after awhile, I decanted the remaining contents to a mist bottle and just generously mist on skin. This only works if the texture is lightweight like US On Earth 6-Effector Soft Marine Water Essence .
My skin felt slightly more hydrated and slightly smoother. I enjoyed the lightweight texture as its a good pairing with most products and currently I am using it with Iunik Beta Glucan Daily Moisture Cream as the cream doesn't seem to pair well with oils or those with heavier texture.
On top of using it like a toner/essence,
- I tried the layering method but instead of the widely popular 7 Skin Method, I tried a shorter 3 layers, by patting the essence into my skin 3 time. Unfortunately, a zit appeared on my chin on both times, on top of splotchy red skin so this method is a big no-no for my skin type, using this essence.
- Using it like an eye mask also doesn't work that well as my undereye area felt parched.
- As a lotion mask, it stings and turns red on pigmentation areas ( cheeks ).
- Using the essence directly on freshly exfoliated skin ( using Leahlani Honey Love ) made my skin itchy and sometimes it stings too.
To conclude, US On Earth 6-Effector Soft Marine Water Essence has a light texture which is great for oily and sensitive skin. Due to the lightweight texture, it pairs well with most other products without causing shine on my T-zone.
However, I seemed to have an issue with using the essence in other ways such as the layering method, lotion mask and on freshly exfoliated skin, hence the best way is to use the way it is supposed to be used - as an essence only.
It left my skin slightly smoother and hydrated but I couldn't see any brightening effect. I won't repurchase the product as I believe that I can find better KBeauty products for the price.
