Packaging, Scent and Texture
Housed in a 50ml jar with a gorgeous gold-accented cap, Meli Glow Illuminating Nectar Mask is suited for all skin types, but is especially beneficial for dry, combination and mature skin.
The sweet honey scent smells so delicious that its almost edible. Runny in texture, it applies easier on dry skin than the recommended damp skin.
How To Use :
Massage a teaspoon of mask into clean, damp skin until evenly distributed. Sit pretty for 5-15 minutes and rinse well with warm water.
Performance and Ingredients
The application perplexes me though. According to instructions, Leahlani Meli Glow Illuminating Nectar Mask is recommended to be used on clean damp skin however due to its runny and sticky texture, using the mask on damp skin makes the whole texture runny and when its runny, its tickling - just imagine the runny contents threatening to drip down to your eyelids or into your nostrils or dribbling down your neck, do you get the drift? It makes me want to rinse it off immediately, instead of waiting for another 5 - 15 minutes.
Even using Meli Glow on dry skin can sometimes be slightly ticklish too, so imagine using it on damp skin, its going to be 2x worse. I tend to stir the contents so that the texture won't be that runny and ticklish. I would then apply it on dry skin which works better for me. Wait 15 minutes before rinsing it off.
Meli GLOW is said to help plump the skin cells, deeply nourish and gently exfoliate the skin, helping to promote a more even skin tone while unveiling that 'aloha GLOW'
I used up the mask in about 5 months with weekly usage and my skin is always very soft, smooth, more even-toned accompanied with a brightening glow. It doesn't dry up so there is no tight or heavy feeling during the masking session.
That said, do note that even though I kept Meli Glow in its original box and in my drawer, some of the contents messed up the box slightly and the ants got onto the scent and into the box. Imagine my horror when I saw the ants around and inside the box, thank goodness they didn't get into the jar but I I still ended up cleaning the whole drawer filled with other skincare products. Once I kept Meli Glow in a ziplock bag together with Honey Love, it solved the ants issue.
Each Meli Glow Illuminating Nectar Mask use is said to help to strengthen the barrier of the skin, delivering a bountiful dose of active enzymes and antioxidant rich oils that will hydrate your skin and leave you with a supple and unbelievably soft complexion. The mask contains Hyaluronic Acid to help boost elasticity and tone the skin, helping to fill in fine lines and wrinkles and ‘plump’ out the skin cells. It is also high in Vitamin C which absorbs easily into the deeper tissues of the skin, helping to combat cellular aging.

As Meli Glow contains Kaolin, I tend to avoid using Honey Love or any AHA products on the same day as Meli Glow so as to avoid drying my skin, hence I only use it weekly for my combination skin with surface dehydration.
Please note that Meli GLOW has since been updated with two new beautiful tropical oils in her formulation, Acai and Papaya Oil. The amount of Hyaluronic acid and Vitamin C have increased— making her even more effective at plumping the skin cells, deeply nourishing and brightening the complexion.
