I always been intrigued with Peter Thomas Roth masks and when I chanced upon Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Mask during a sale, it was the perfect opportunity to try it out!

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Made in USA, fragrance-free, paraben-free and sulphate-free, Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Mask comes in clear plastic tub with 150ml pink gel contents.

The pink colour looks really pretty in its tub but when applied, its actually a very pale pink colour. This cooling gel mask has a rose fragrance which goes on like a jelly with a goopy texture and a nice cooling sensation.

How To Use :
Apply a generous coat on clean skin. Allow to remain on for 10 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
For an intensive treatment, refrigerate and apply as a mask, or apply a thin layer as the last step of your skincare routine and leave on overnight.
Use two to three times a week, or daily for intensive repair.

Performance and Ingredients

Said to help improve the signs of aging, including the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, dehydration, dullness and sagging as it tones the look of skin to reveals silky soft, radiant, beautiful and youthful-looking skin, I have using the Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Mask for the past 4 months with once/twice weekly usage.

This gel mask can be used as a rinse-off mask or as an overnight mask but I prefer to use it as a rinse-off mask mainly as my skincare routine is usually minimal.

Once applied, the cooling sensation is almost immediate and feels comforted on skin especially in a humid country like Singapore. It vaguely reminds me of the Fresh Rose Face Mask. Within 10 minutes, the mask dries up and turned sticky on skin which meant time to rinse off the mask!

Ahh...I actually didn't really enjoy the rinsing off part as copious of water is required hence after the first cleanse with water, I use a wet muslin cloth to go over my face, just to ensure all remnants are picked up. I do love my muslin cloth for times like this - don't ask me where I got it from, as it comes free with Kat Burki Vitamin C Nourishing Cleansing Balm.

Although my skin is left feeling softer, smoother and brighter after masking but there is a taut sensation on the upper lips and feels slightly parched overall. Not exactly a great experience, I would say.

That said, the product did receive much raving reviews on Sephora so you may have a better experience with it.

Conclusion

To be honest, I was rather disappointed with the performance of Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Mask because of the parched and taut sensation which shouldn't have been there. It did provide me with softer, smoother and brighter skin but I can't enjoy the overall experience.

At $83, I really do expect the mask to deliver but judging from the positive online reviews, it may just be me and my skin type. If you have tried it, leave a comment! I would love to hear from you!
