After a positive experience with Lululun Face Mask ( Pink ), I decided to try out Lululun Face Mask ( White ) as well, and promptly purchased one from our local pharmacy.

Packaging, Scent and Cutting

Made in Japan, Lululun Face Mask ( White ) comes in a white resealable 7 pieces pack where each sheet mask is folded and stacked upon each other in the packaging. Do note that it is also available in a 32 pieces box packaging.

[ Review ] SNP Animal Panda Warming Eye Mask + Animal Tiger Warming Eye Mask

Warming Eye Mask Product Description
The eye masks relaxes dry and fatigued eyes resulting from frequent use of smartphones or computers, or through overworking and stress. Warmth at about 41.5℃ for around 20 minutes to comfort eyes, and disposable patch type makes it sanitary. It contains lavender with subtle fragrance which helps one rest comfortably and sleep soundly.

I purchased both SNP Animal Panda Warming Eye Mask and Animal Tiger Warming Eye Mask when I was in Korea late last year. Each box comes with 5 individually packed pieces. The prints are fun and adorable and I believe that it would be a hit with children in order to trick/coax them to sleep.

Warming eye masks are nothing new nowadays as its been made popular by Kao for its innovative Kao Megurhythm Steam Hot Eye Mask many years ago. You can also read my review of Mediheal Warming Eye Mask which I enjoyed using.

Both SNP Animal Panda Eye Mask and Animal Tiger Warming Eye Mask work the same way, except for the different prints. However, the impression and performance differs slightly between both masks.

Each pair of warming eye masks is kept in a clear sealed plastic sheet in the box packaging where you have to cut to remove the mask from it. Thereafter, tear the cutting line in the centre of the eye mask and wear it so that the illustrated side of the mask faces outward.

The cutting is comfortable and fits snugly without the need to re-adjust and does not loosen even as you toss and turn in bed. The heat sensation is just right, without the fear of being scalded. In fact, it just relaxes your eyes after a long day at work, or facing the computer.

I also like that there were no beads of water trapped within the eye mask, unlike Kao Megurhythm Steam Hot Eye Mask.

Unfortunately, I do sniff an unpleasant "chemical" scent during the usage of the SNP Animal Tiger Warming Eye Mask - it could be the adhesive or the material used but I really dislike that. The warming eye mask being worn so near to my nose, meant the scent is being amplified and came out stronger. I don't really like inhaling such scent while I sleep since I am not sure what "chemicals" are they. I can't even detect any lavender fragrance though.

In comparison, SNP Animal Panda Warming Eye Mask fared much better as I only detect a very subtle chemical scent which disappeared after a short while. The heat sensation was also slightly lower than that of the Animal Tiger Warming Eye Mask. In fact, I hardly felt much heat from the Panda Eye Mask, unless I kept pressing the mask onto my eyes, so that I can feel the heat when its in close proximity. I also can't detect any lavender fragrance.

These warming eye masks are convenient and travel-friendly and are great for relaxing your eyes. They can be worn anywhere and anytime, on bed, on the plane and after reading. In comparison, I would still prefer Mediheal Warming Eye Mask.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Miracle Hydrating Mist is a TSA approved size of 100ml so you can definitely bring this on your travels. It comes in a clear plastic bottle with a nozzle that dispenses the right amount of mist without feeling that its too fine or too heavy to the point of being drenched.

There is a subtle energizing scent of  lemon water, rose and bergamot which reinvigorate your skin and senses. Unfortunately, it contains perfume which I rather do without.

Performance and Ingredients

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Miracle Hydrating Mist is perfect for that mist in the morning, post-sweat, pre touch-up or before beauty sleep. I usually use it as a toner, after cleansing and before serum. I also use it whenever my skin feels oily and needs a refresh.

The hydrating mist provides that instant hit of hydration, making one feel refreshed and calmed. It evaporates pretty fast so apply your serum within that time frame as products tend to absorb better on damp skin.

Occasionally I also use it like a mask in the mornings, where I pour the hydrating mist into those compressed mask ( you are supposed to soak the compressed mask in the liquid ), the mask would become swollen, unfold it and apply on your face like a sheet mask for 10 minutes. It makes my skin smooth and well-hydrated and my make-up goes on smoothly.

Do note that when I first started using the mist, there was a spicy sensation on the skin which lasted several weeks before its gone. And if I haven't use the mist for a while, the spicy sensation would appear again. This 100ml bottle lasted me for 5 months with once-a-day usage.

In terms of ingredients, Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Miracle Hydrating Mist contains a superfruit blend of Acai, Goji, Mangosteen, Noni, Pomegranate Fruit Extract and Coffee Seed which is said to provide antioxidant protection for healthy-looking skin. Th addition of Apple Leaf Extract helps to provide soothing relief to irritated skin. You can read the breakdown of the ingredients on Incidecoder.

The key ingredients with higher concentration are as follow :

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf : Aloe barbadensis, or aloe vera, is a succulent plant which offers many benefits and is suited for all skin types, especially dry, damaged, broken, sensitive and irritated skin. Conclusion 

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Miracle Hydrating Mist is a decent product but I believe I can find better products with that price tag. It provides you with that immediate burst of hydration and if you need more hydration in the mornings ( due to lack of sleep or fatigue from the previous nights ), just douse them in the compressed mask and use it like a mask for 10 minutes before you apply make-up. It hydrates your skin, your makeup goes on smoothly and overall, gives you a less tired look instantly.

Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask EX ( Tea Tree ) is a water type sheet mask, using 100% natural sheet made of cellulose of eucalyptus tree which is said to be sturdier than other mask sheets and adheres to skin thinly and transparently to help deliver serum more effectively.

The tea tree fragrance does not really remind me of tea tree and I do not really fancy the fragrance but it is still bearable. The cutting is great and fits my cherubic face shape perfectly. It has an easy peel design where there are 2 "handles" aka kitten ears at both top sides of the sheet mask which helps to make it easier for one to apply and peel it off.

Innisfree uses the ‘Cold Brew Squeeze Process’, which extracts ingredients slowly at low temperatures and ensures that the full nutrients are completely absorbed into the skin. After a 20 minutes session, the pimple on my chin seemed visibly calmed and my skin felt smoother. However, the hydration ability was rather poor as my make-up did not glide on as well as it should, on hydrated skin.

In terms of ingredients, Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask EX ( Tea Tree ) contains Melalecua Alternifolia ( Tea Tree ) Leaf Extract as the key ingredient where it is known to have skin-soothing properties and is also an antioxidant. For improving skin concerns such as breakouts, tea tree oil concentrations of 2.5% to 10% are recommended. However, the amount present in most skincare products is usually less than 1%, as higher amounts impart a strong scent many people find intolerable, not to mention these higher amounts increase tea tree oil’s potential to sensitize and redden skin.

Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask EX ( Green Tea ) is a water-type mask and is made up of the same sheet material ( cellulose of eucalyptus tree ) as that of the Tea Tree variant where it is thin and sheer. It adheres pretty well to skin, with a good cutting that fits my face shape, and 2 "handles" at the top of the mask for easy application and removal.

The same 'Cold Brew Squeeze Process’ is used, which extracts ingredients slowly at low temperatures and ensures that the full nutrients are completely absorbed into the skin. The subtle green tea scent is soothing and makes it a great masking session.

After 20 minutes of masking, my skin turned soft and supple, smoother to the touch and looked brighter!

A 15ml travel sized Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask is part of my purchase from a Sephora Favourites Mask Wonderland Set sometime back. I have been using it nightly for the past 1 month.

Allergy Tested, 100% Fragrance Free, Oil-Free, Non-Acnegenic and Ophthalmologist Tested, Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask is also paraben-free, phthalate-free and fragrance-free.

It has a pink creamy texture that looks pretty and feels emollient on skin. Gliding beautifully on skin and absorbed within a few minutes, Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask makes my skin feel slightly softer and more supple. It  can also doubled up as a night moisturiser or spot moisture treatment.

Since I don't like to layer too many products on my skin at night, I mainly use it as a night moisturiser and when there are flaky spots on my skin, I also use it to touch up on those dehydrated areas. The Overnight Mask is hydrating enough to be used as such.

Initially, when I first started using the overnight mask on my dehydrated-combination skin, it tends to make my skin shine and look greasy throughout the night till the following morning. Instead of a dewy glow, I looked like a greasy wok.

However, along the weeks of consistent usage, my skin gets better and the shine reduced drastically, leaving just a slight shine around the nose area. The following morning, my skin also is plumped up, smoother and more supple. It also works very well as a spot moisture treatment, any flakiness instantly disappeared once I applied the overnight mask on them.

The formula contains a good mix of emollients, water-binding agents (mostly from various types of algae) and a range of antioxidants.

In terms of ingredients, there are several skin conditioner/mosturisers found in the list, namely Shea Butter, Mango Seed Butter, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Glycereth-26, Sucrose, Trehalose, Gellidiela Acerosa (Algae) Extract, Cladosiphon Okamuranus Extract, Astrocaryum Murumuru Seed Butter, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water, Pantethine, Sorbitol, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate and Hexylene Glycol but normally, I am only concerned about the few top ingredients with higher concentration as they make more of a difference than ingredients with lower concentration.

In conclusion, I would think that this product may work better during winter or when your skin is dry or dehydrated. For oily skin, you may want to take note of the shine, despite it being oil-free. Do note that it contains Dimethicone so if you are allergic to it, please be aware of it.


How To Use
Use once a day, in the evening.
Use after 3-Step, or anytime skin needs a moisture boost.
Apply to face and throat all over, or where needed.
TIP: Avoid eye area.

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask scored 4.3 from 128 users on Makeupalley. Clinique products are mainly misses than hits for me but my one and only favourite product from Clinique would be Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm.

Tosowoong Pure Green Tea Mask Pack Product Description

Tosowoong Pure Green Tea Mask Pack contained a subtle green tea fragrance which lingered throughout the masking session. The mask material had a moderate thickness to it, with a textured slippery surface. It was totally soaked with 25g of essence and was very wet but not to the point of being a dripping mess.

The cutting of the mask can be considered wide and hence gave rise to excess "cloth" at chin and right jaw area. The eye cutouts were large, akin to lopsided long oval shapes and there was a slight gap between nose and cheeks which is pretty common for most sheet masks.

After a 20 minutes masking session, I am pleased to see that my skin appeared calmed and was smooth and supple with smaller pores. However, there was no brightening effect. The upper lips area felt alittle taut though.

In terms of ingredients,  Tosowoong Pure Green Tea Mask Pack contains the following key ingredients :

Niacinamide : Also known as vitamin B3 and nicotinamide, niacinamide is a water-soluble vitamin that works with the natural substances in your skin to help visibly improve enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines and wrinkles, dullness and a weakened surface. Niacinamide also reduces the impact of environmental damage because of its ability to improve skin’s barrier (its first line of defense), plus it also plays a role in helping skin to repair signs of past damage.

Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract : Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract is an extract of the leaves of the Tea, Camellia sinensis, Theaceae, commonly known as the green tea extract. It shows good antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Tosowoong Pure Propolis Mask Pack had the same semi-thickness and slippery mask material which was soaked with 25g of essence. The honey fragrance came across as pretty strong which reminded me of the delicious Manuka Honey.

It had a similar wide cutting with excess "cloth" at the same areas - chin and right jaw with large lopsided eye cutouts and a slight gap between nose and cheeks.

The masking session was very relaxing and refreshingly cool throughout the 20 minutes. I really enjoyed the session and my skin was brimming with moisture once the mask was removed, although there was a slight tautness on my upper lips area. My skin was hydrated, very soft, smooth and had a subtle brightening glow.

In terms of ingredients, Tosowoong Pure Propolis Mask Pack contains the following key ingredients :

To conclude, Tosowoong's masks are pretty decent with affordable prices. If you are on a budget, they are definitely worth trying to give you better skin, without hurting your pockets. If you have to choose between Green Tea and Propolis then I highly recommend Propolis!
