I received Celimax Skin Barrier Repair Set as part of the #TryMeReviewMe event from StyleKorean recently. After hearing so much about the brand, I was looking forward to trying them out.

This was what I received in the mail. Such a gorgeous package that I can't bear to open it. It makes you feel like you are receiving a gift.

This is the Celimax Dual Barrier range which helps with repairing and strengthening your skin barrier as they are filled with ceramide to prevent moisture loss.
Ceramide, one of the most crucial building materials of the skin barrier, prevents moisture evaporation through the crack of the damaged barrier and protects skin from external irritation.
Dual barrier repairing solution contains Aquatide to activate the skin's own barrier repairing mechanism from inside of skin. And it also contains 5 Natural Ceramides to ensure proper functioning of moisture barrier from outer layer of skin to prevent water loss. With this dual system, Celimax Dual Barrier range can help to provide a long lasting moisturizing effect.

Celimax Dual Barrier Mild Gel Cleanser is a gentle, low pH cleanser that cleanses, hydrates, and helps restore the protective skin barrier with five essential ceramides and botanical antioxidants.
This low pH mild gel cleanser provides gentle cleansing without stripping nor irritating the skin barrier. Since most cleansers tend to irritate my skin and makes it even drier, I always rely on cleansing milks as my second cleanse so I was pleasantly surprised that my skin can tolerate this cleanser well initially.
The cloudy gel cleanser comes in a 200ml pump dispenser, foams lightly and provides a gentle and effective cleanse, leaving my skin soft, smooth and comfortable. It has no noticeable scent. However, unfortunately, after 2 weeks of twice daily usage, I noticed it made my skin tight after every cleanse so its not a perfect fit for my combination skin with surface dehydration.
Its a different story for my husband though. He loves this cleanser so much that he has been using it secretly in the bathroom. He dislikes all my past cleansers until this comes along so this is husband-approved as it kept his oily skin clean without turning greasy by mid-day.
Celimax Dual Barrier Mild Gel Cleanser contains 5 types of natural Ceramides which help to replenish moisture while cleansing, offering a fresh and moisturized finish. Formulated for dry and sensitive skin, it is dermatologist tested, hypoallergenic, artificial fragrance-free and does not contain harsh chemicals, however, seeing how it suits my husband's oily skin, I would think it fits most skin types.

How To Use :
Apply toner using clean hands rather than cotton pads to reduce irritation to dry skin
Tip : If skin is excessively dry, soak cotton pads with toner and put them on dry areas for 30 seconds.
Housed in a 150ml bottle, the toner has a fresh milky texture that is lightweight and absorbs easily into the skin without any stickiness or greasiness. No noticeable scent detected too. Creamy lipid ingredients help to deliver a comfortable moisturizing finish without irritating the skin.
I love how nourishing and comforting it felt on the skin instantly upon application and my skin is prepped for the next product. It also helped to relieve the tightness I experience with unsuitable cleansers.
You can also use the toner as a DIY lotion toner where you pour the contents on thin cotton pads and layer all over the face like Chizu Saeki's famed lotion pack routine. Skin is soothed, calmed and hydrated. Bliss!

There is no noticeable scent and the lotion-like texture is lightweight and smooth. It glides on skin effortlessly, leaving a subtle velvety feel in its place. My skin is soft, smooth and supple with a healthier glow.
This serum contains Aquatide and 5 Ceramide complex and together with other hydrating agents, it helps to strengthen and form a moisture barrier on the skin for a healthy-looking complexion.

How To Use :
1) Put an appropriate amount on hand, spread on skin and gently press it with palms.
2) The warmth of palm helps the absorption of cream
Tip : For excessively dry skin, use one or two drops of facial oil after cream for a longer-lasting moisturization. For sensitive skin, add another layer of cream to reduce skin irritation caused by multiple formulations.
The Celimax Dual Barrier Skin Wearable Cream is packed in a 50ml tube with a nozzle tip dispenser that makes dispensing the lightweight cream precise and so effortlessly easy. Its sturdy and easy to use although I would prefer a larger hole.
White in colour, it has a balmy-cream texture with a subtle clean scent. It moisturizes and nourishes the skin with a velvety finishing ( because of silicone ) and a hint of tackiness that never seems to go away.
The wearable cream helps to protect dry skin by building up the moisture barrier, keep skin moisturized and prevent irritation by repairing the skin barrier and comfort skin with barrier repairing formula.
I appreciate how it calms, soothes and comforts irritated skin on one of my irritated skin days. Within 5 minutes, the subtle itch was gone, while the redness subsided after 15 minutes.
And as the name implies, Celimax Dual Barrier Skin Wearable Cream is indeed pretty wearable as I can easily pair this with other serums in my stash.

Conclusion
To conclude, Celimax Dual Barrier Mild Gel Cleanser, Creamy Toner, Boosting Serum and Skin Wearable Cream were a decent range of products that help to improve the skin barrier effectively.
While the gel cleanser wasn't a good fit for my skin type but the rest were great. The toner was nourishing, comforting and hydrating. The serum left my skin soft, smooth and supple with a healthier glow. And the cream was moisturizing, nourishing, calming and comforting.
Overall, my skin looked healthier, less irritated and ready to face the world.
If your skin is constantly dry and irritated or has a weakened skin barrier, then consider adding these products to your skincare regime!
