Packaging, Scent and Texture

Forest Beauty Elderflower Repair Mask is a paper-thin mask and was dripping wet when pulled out from its packaging. It doesn't have much of a scent and adheres well on skin. 

How To Use :

1. Cleanse and tone the skin.

2. Apply mask onto a clean face, spread evenly onto facial contours.

3. After 15 minutes, remove the mask.

4. Gently massage any excess serum into the skin.

Performance and Ingredients

Forest Beauty Elderflower Repair Mask fits well on skin and felt refreshing during the masking session. 

After a 20 minute masking session, my skin is literally clear, fresh and glowing!

The key ingredients are...

Niacinamide : Also known as Vitamin B3, it blocks melanin and helps keep skin tone clear, clean and reduce skin trouble by balancing sebum activity. 

Tranexamic Acid : Has the ability to fade dark spots, discolorations, and melasma. It may also be beneficial for treating acne and improving the skin barrier.

Lactobacillus / Pumpkin Ferment Extract : Helps repair the skin barrier and brightens the skin. Lactobacillus is a probiotic that will help provide the skin with a protective shield that prevents bad bacteria from reaching the skin.

To conclude, Forest Beauty Elderflower Repair Mask was a winner for me, giving rise to clear, fresh and glowing, definitely worth a repurchase! It is also one of my Top 22 Empties I Loved in 2022!

Last year, I tried their eye serum masks and now its time for me to try their sheet masks. 

Garnier Hydra Bomb Sakura Glow Super Hydrating Pinkish Glow Serum Mask is a new generation of tissue mask that infuses skin with 1 week of serum in 1 mask. Enriched with pinkish flow-boosting Japanese Sakura & Hyaluronic Acid, a powerful hydrating active capable of retaining 1000x its weight in water, it helps to refresh skin and reveal its pinkish glow. 

How To Use :

1. Unfold the mask. Carefully apply the white tissue to thoroughly cleansed skin. Make sure the blue protective film is facing outwards. Smooth the mask gently to ensure contact with the skin.

2. Remove the protective film.

3. Adjust the mask contours on the face. Leave for 15 minutes.

4. To remove the mask, peel off slowly from the edges. Gently massage in any excess serum, or use a cotton pad to remove.

[ Review ] Somethinc Retinol, Sunscreen Gel, Sunscreen Mist

In this post, I will be reviewing Somethinc 1% Pure Retinol + Squalane, Somethinc HOLYSHIELD! UV Watery Sunscreen Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ and HOLYSHIELD! UV Watery Sunscreen Shake Mist SPF46 PA++++. 

Somethinc 1% Pure Retinol + Squalane is a 10x Advanced Retinol which contains the purest version of Retinol known as the Gold Standard to help prevent signs of premature aging. It is a potent and stable oil-based Retinol so it is not easily oxidized. Equipped with Squalane which is a Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF) that maintains skin elasticity. Use it at night and always use sunscreen in the morning.

How To Use :

1) Apply 3-5 pumps of serum into your palm. 

2) Lightly press your palms onto your cleansed face and pat the serum in outwards and upwards motions until it is fully applied to your face and neck. 

3) Wait for 1-3 minutes for the product to fully absorb. 

4) Use 1-2 times a week for 1 month at night. If irritation does not occur, use the product every other day (day 1, day 3, etc.) & increase the intensity each day (daily) if the skin is getting used to Pure Retinol.

Somethinc Low pH Gentle Jelly Cleanser is a vegan-based facial cleanser with jelly texture and formulated with gentle ingredients such as Japanese Mugwort and Tea Tree. It is clinically tested to balance skin pH without drying, stripping and damaging the skin barrier.

How To Use :

1) Wash your face with water, then pour a cleanser as big as almonds into the palms of your hands.

2) Gently rub and blend all over the face in a circular motion for 10 seconds.

3) Rinse then dry and continue to the next step, which is toner.

[ Review ] E Nature Cicaherb Restore Sheet Mask

E Nature Cicaherb Restore Sheet Mask is a natural, gentle and soothing mask that repairs skin damage and restores texture and shine, for a clearer and smoother complexion. It contains Centella Asiatica extract that has calming and protecting effects to alleviate irritations and revitalize the skin with an unique mask sheet made from Skin-Fit felt fabric that is eco-friendly and adheres to skin smoothly.

I had a good experience with E Nature products after trying out E Nature Bio-Zeup Sheet Mask and E Nature Rice Essential Tone-Starter and here comes a review of E Nature Cicaherb Restore Sheet Mask. 

It is now available with a new package at a more friendly price and is in pink rather than green. 

Packaging, Scent and Texture

E Nature Cicaherb Restore Sheet Mask has a subtle scent with a thin and sheer material ( skin-fit fabric ) that adheres well on skin. The cutting isn't the best, with a large eye cutout and a gap between nose and cheeks. 

How To Use : 

1) After washing the face, clean the skin with a toner.

2) Place the mask on the skin and adjust it to fit comfortably around the eyes, nose and mouth.

3) Leave on for 10 - 20 minutes, then remove the mask and gently pat in the remaining serum.

Performance and Ingredients

Relieve inflammation and irritation in 20 minutes with this calming sheet mask formulated with Centella Asiatica and its derivative Madecassoside.

Derived from Centella Asiatica, Madecassoside has been used since ancient times in herbal remedies for its healing properties. These days, it’s one of the most sought-after soothing ingredients for skin.

Indeed, E Nature Cicaherb Restore Sheet Mask is calming and soothing on skin during application. After a 20 minute masking session, my skin was calmed and soothed with redness minimized.

To conclude, E Nature Cicaherb Restore Sheet Mask worked great on irritated and sensitive skin days as it helped to calm and soothe my skin with redness minimized.
