Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear - Ice Coffee

Ice Coffee sounds abit odd. When has coffee ever been red? This is a muted red, with a slight glossy effect.
I like Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear nail polishes for its fluidity and easy application. I am quite clumsy when it comes to nail polish application and always have to remove and re-apply. However with this nail polish, it was a breeze as I can complete the application in lesser time than other brands.
I need about 2 coats to reach the opacity that I preferred.
It takes abit more effort when a base coat is used as the application of Ice Coffee seems to take forever to dry. Its my first time using a base coat so please pardon my ignorance. lol
Sally Hansen does contain all the harmful nasties in their ingredients though.

Mentholatum Sunplay Water in UV SPF25 PA++

Product Description
Sunplay Water In UV is formulated with a MPC moisture retention barrier to help replenish and lock-in moisture on skin. It is enriched with Carrot extract, Vitamin B1, B2 and C to keep skin soft & smooth.
Innovative gel texture. Ultra light and smooth on the skin

I first came across this on a sachet sample from the Shape Run goodie bag and subsequently went to look for the full retail size but could not find it in the market. An email to Sunplay Singapore revealed that this product has been discontinued. I wondered why this product is still on their Sunplay site though.

Luckily, a work trip to Taipei had me busily looking around for it in their Watsons store after work. It was much cheaper than in Singapore. I think I got it for about S$10 so I went ahead to get 2.

I like the liquid formula which left the skin non-greasy and non-sticky, something that is very difficult to find among the major brands. I usually used it on the body as I have a separate Dermalogica sunscreen for the face.

Sunplay is a brand that contains a Japan "Watery Liquid" formulation that is light, mild, non-greasy and smooth on the skin. It is also non-comedogenic (does not clog pores) as well as protecting against harmful UVA and UVB rays.

A check on Cosdna showed that the key ingredients against sun rays are Octylmethoxy Cinnamate, Octocrylene and Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane.

Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, which is also known as Avobenzone, has shown to be able to degrade significantly in light over time, lessening its sun protection capabilities. For this reason, most sunscreens containing the ingredient also include photo-stabilizing ingredients like Octocrylene.

Avobenzone appears to be relatively non-toxic and non-irritating to the skin. However, because it is often used in conjunction with photo-stabilizers, there is a greater risk for skin irritation and low-level toxicity. You can read more about it here.

Octylmethoxy Cinnamate, according to Cosmetics Database has many concerns regarding its use, which includes biochemical changes that cause mutation and cell death upon exposure to sunlight (which is likely when used as a sunscreen ingredient); immunotoxicity and photoallergic effects; reproductive toxicity that leads to estrogenic effects; organ system toxicity, especially in the liver; and enhanced skin absorption.

You can read more about it here or here

Review : C'est Naturel Comfort Hand and Nail Cream

Product Description
This quick absorbing hand and nail cream hydrates and nourishes dry skin, helps in skin renewal and effectively heals small wounds leaving skin soft, smooth and protected. Daily use helps strengthen nails.
I have been using this 110ml sized bottle of hand cream for about 1.5 months in office. The packaging, while functional is not portable enough to slip into small handbags. It comes with a flick type of cap which is easy to open and close without hurting the fingers.
White and creamy, it smells nice and reminds me of baby talc powder. It has a silky texture and absorbs pretty quickly into the hands. However its not heavy-duty stuff for my sometimes severely dry hands. On a normal day, it works fine.

In terms of ingredients, it does contain triclosan and benzophenone-3 which may not be preferred.
Triclosan is suspected of causing cancer in humans (source) while Benzophenone-3 is known to cause photoallergic reactions in humans. (source). A more technical read-up on Benzophenone-3 can be found here. You can also read about how FDA have rebutted on the danger of Tricolosan here.
Note that both ingredients are the last 2 on the list which meant that the percentage is at its minimum compared to the rest.

Ingredients:
Demineralized Water (Aqua), Stearic Acid, Isopropyl Myristate, Dimethicone, Propylene Glycol, Cetyl Alcohol, Triethanolamine, Aloe Vera (Barbadensis) Gel, Fragrance (Parfum), Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), Green Tea (Camellia Sinensis) Leaf Extract, Dead Sea Salt (Maris Sal), Tocopherol (Vit. E), Geranium
(Maculatum) Extract, Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia) Extract, Palm (Elaeis Guineensis) Oil, Triclosan,
Benzophenone-3 (UV Filter).

Review : My Beauty Diary Chocolate Truffle Sheet Mask

Product Description
The mask is made of carefully selected, quality cocoa bean extract from the southern part of Caribbean Sea and very precious truffle extract from the northern part of Italy. Cocoa beans give miraculously moisturizing and defending power while truffle provides deep nourishment and hydration. The combination makes skin feel very watery, silky and alluring.

Beta-Glucan, extracted from the endosperm of oat, together with rice protein, sinks deep into dry skin and continuously moisturizes. In addition, milk protein soothes and moisturizes excellently. The mask quenches the thirst of skin, leaving skin very comfortable, watery and elastic to the touch.
Suitable for normal skin, it is recommended for skin that tends to be dehydrated and skin with poor elasticity.

Key Ingredients
【Beta-Glucan】protects against irritation, reinforces the skin’s defense mechanism, and gives an anti-aging effect.
【Sodium Hyaluronate】strongly hydrates.
【Arginine】hydrates, strengthens the stratum corneum, and improves circulation.
【Tuber Magnatum Extract】provides deep nourishment and hydration.
【Serine】hydrates and strengthens the stratum corneum.
【Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract】gives an antiseptic effect and reduces inflammation.
【Glutamic Acid】promotes metabolism and stimulates cell regeneration.

This pack of 2 sheet masks is yet another one I bought from Taiwan in May this year. Yummy chocolate and kawaii packaging, how can I possibly resist that?
The texture of the sheet is thin and fully soaked in essence which is definitely a welcome treat for parched skin in the dessert. Thankfully, my skin has been good lately with very slightly flakiness near the nostrils so I am using this mask to maintain the optimal skin condition of mine.

I am so much in love with the cocoa scent. Its smells so delicious, you have to try it to believe it. This mask is mainly for firming, hydrating and softening of the skin. After using 2 sheets over 2 weeks ( I was trying out a new moisturiser so I have been skipping the masking part to test the effectiveness of my moisturiser ), here's my thoughts on it :
It brightens up my skintone ( till my dark circles look especially prominent ) and provides sufficient hydration with a bouncy feel. My skin feels soft and supple which lasted till the next day. However, it did not totally soothe the roughness on certain areas of my nose.

Review : Beauty Credit Aloe Eye Cream

Product Description
An eye cream made from aloe and deep-sea water are effective moisturisers which make your skin soft and silky created for dry and sensitive skin types. Use it to protect and calm eyes prone to dryness. Apply to eye orbit area as desired.

This was bought in Korea, for a very affordable price. Since my undereye area is always dry, according to
make-up artistes, I bought this moisture eye cream, hoping well, it can be effective.
Personally, I always find eye products to be quite useless in alleviating my undereye area concerns but still, I am trying.

There is a slight aloe scent without being offensive. Even though its touted as a cream but the texture is lighter than most eye creams with a slight silicon feel. It leaves a subtle layer of stickiness without being tacky.
This 30ml size had me using it for more than 5 months without any visible improvment. I started off with using it in the night since it was a cream and moved on to using in the day, thereafter. There is no marked improvement to the hydration level to my undereye area. A never-ending quest for the perfect eye cream again.

Breakthrough Skincare Ingredients

Wool from New Zealand Sheep
Our skin naturally produces keratin, which are proteins that promote elasticity and at the same time, holds our skin firmly together. Unfortunately, as we age (and as we expose ourselves to sun damage and pollution), our skin doesn’t produce too much of them anymore—hence, wrinkles and sagging skin.

While many products already claim to contain keratin, they most probably source them from the hooves, horns, and feathers of animals and birds. (That’s because keratin can also be found in different body parts, such as nails, skin, and hair.) The breakthrough is keratin sourced from the wool of New Zealand sheep, called Cynergy TK. Why is it special? It’s keratin that is almost identical found in human skin, and promises to be more effective on actual human skin. Cynergy TK is said to stimulate keratin in the skin, and promote its growth.

Broccoli, Brussels Sprout and Cabbage
Your mom was right—vegetables are good for you. Cruciferous veggies, such as cabbage, broccoli and Brussels sprouts contain sulphoraphane, a compound that has been found to be containing anticancer, antibacterial, and antidiabetic properties. Some have even put this ingredient in their sunscreens, as it protects the skin from UV rays, thus protecting the wearer from possible skin cancer. Not only that, but a study done in Canada found that sulphoraphane’s detoxifying properties can help protect skin cell regeneration—making it an anti-ageing phytonutrient (ie., nutrients derived from plants). Supposedly, the addition of sulphoraphane in products can help users expect their fine lines to disappear, and deep wrinkles to decrease in depth.

Algae
Healthy, new skin cells mean better, more radiant skin, less fine lines and wrinkles, and an even skin tone. But we’ve learned that as we age, our body slows down in the cell production department.

What if you could actually increase skin cell regeneration up to 55% (over untreated cells)? That’s what alguronic acid claims to do, apparently more than other well-known anti-ageing ingredients such as retinol, coenzyme Q10, and even Vitamins C and E.

What makes alguronic acid stand apart from other anti-aging ingredients is that it’s derived from algae. In fact, alguronic acid was founded by accident while scientists from San Francisco were doing microalgae research. A plus for this ingredient is that algae are known to weather even the harshest environments. So just imagine what kind of protection you’ll have from the elements if your skin care products had this ingredient!

Kelp from the Japanese Sea
Phytessence wakame is yet another ingredient derived from the sea, this time, from kelp found in the Japanese Sea. It helps firm up the skin by inhibiting harmful hyaluronidase activity in the skin. Hyaluronidase is an enzyme present in the body that breaks down hyaluronic acid, also known as the “glue” of elastin and collagen fibres. Without hyalunoric acid, elastin and collagen fibres weaken, and you’re left with—you guessed it—fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin.

The Japanese were definitely on to something when they started putting phytessence wakame in their products. In fact, some Japanese women have been using it for centuries! It seems that it’s only now that the humble kelp is being praised in the global spotlight. And it’s no wonder why—further research has found that not only is phytessence wakame rich in minerals and B-vitamins (which help soothe skin irritation), but it also contains sulphated pilyfucose, which can protect your skin from pollution and harmful UV rays from the sun.

Review : Ma Cherie Body Shampoo

Product Description
The Ma Cherie Body Soap help to clear the dead skin cells, restore the moist level, and also provide tightening. Your body will be well moistured after bathing, and the texture of after wash is very smooth.

This body shampoo ( commonly known as body wash ) was part of a travel pack from Ma Cherie which I picked up from Watsons in Taipei earlier in May this year. It comes together with the shampoo and conditioner, all at 50ml each.

The packaging is very feminine, pink in colour. The smell is alright, pretty typical of such non-natural wash. It gives a luxurious foamy wash, producing lots of lathering. However the end effect is a drying and tight feeling on my skin.

My hubby has no such problem so I decided to pass it to him to finish up the remaining 50%  after my weekend trip to Desaru.

Review : Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Gel

I loved the predecessor as a sample pack but because it contains alcohol as the 2nd ingredient, I was not comfortable with investing in the full size.

Thereafter, Clarins came up the new range for normal to combination skin. Alcohol is still present but more like in the middle of the list of ingredients, instead of being 2nd in line. I received 2 sachets to try out while shopping for a moisturiser for my Mum.

The range was newly launched on 28th August 2011 which happened to be the day I bought the moisturiser for my mum. lol.

This new range contains Hyaluronic Acid and Katafray which helps to reinforce the barrier function of skin's corneal layer against moisture loss. My 2 sachets lasted me for about 2 weeks of usage which gave me smooth, flake-free skin. My T-zone is less shiny. My skin is sufficiently hydrated.
It has a heavy fragrance though but texture-wise, it is non-greasy and sinks into the skin fast.
The retail price is $83.

Review : Lancome Bright Expert Intense Spot Correcting Serum

Product Description
Brightens complexion. Uncovers natural radiance. Evens out skin-tone. It is a breakthrough brightening serum that visibly brightens the skin.
Formulated with Ginkgo Biloba plus NW Technology, a unique botanical complex featuring Mint Extract, this breakthrough serum targets damaged surface cells to reduce the appearance of dark spots, even the most visible ones.

I had this product for a while so I thought its time to do a review on it. It has since been discontinued and replaced by other products. The thing about whitening products, is that it takes time, diligence and effort and especially since its so expensive, we desperately wants it to work on those damned spots. lol.

Spot correcting serums takes a long time for me to completely used it up since you only need a small amount so I have decided to use it all over the face as a serum before moisturiser with a double dosage on the slight pigmentation spots on the cheeks.

With more than 4 months of usage, this product is finally working. Slowly but truly. It retails for US$90 for a 30ml size, but I got it cheaper when I was in the States sometime back. In fact there was a factory outlet in Las Vegas for several Lancome products so I took the chance to haul some of the more expensive products for my mum and myself.

The slight pigmentation spots on my cheeks did fade slightly but you really have to be diligent in the sheer effort of application as well as staring hard enough at the spots to see the subtle difference.
It has a nice scent and the texture is pretty runny. In fact, the contents just come running out with just an upside down of the tube, thats how runny it is.

In terms of ingredients, I am glad to see that the 4th ingredient is Ascorbyl Glucoside, which is a form of stable Vitamin C.

Review : My Beauty Diary Earl Grey and Macaron Sheet Mask

Product Description
This limited release mask contains essence from earl grey tea, as well as extracts from macaron. It helps illuminating and clarifying skin, while also remove dullness and revitalize it, leaves you a brightening skin finish.
The whitening mask helps you to remove dead skin cells and brings out the natural glow of your skin. It contains Blueberry Fruit Extract, Rosa Canina Fruit Extract, Aloe Vera and Black Tea Ferment for improving dull and uneven skin tone that caused by the accumulation of dead skin cells. It gives you rosy and healthy complexion.

Don't you find the packaging cute? I fell in love with it, when my eyes first laid on them. I love shopping in Taiwan convenience stores and this is where I purchased it from. Despite knowing that it would be more expensive than Cosmed, I still wanted to get it, as I am afraid that I may not be able to find it there. Kiasu-ism head sticking out.

The mask has a subtle scent of tea which smells abit different from the earl grey tea I usually drink but still very pleasant nonetheless. The sheet adheres well to the skin and is still pretty wet after an hour of layering on the face.
After using 3 sheets over 1.5 weeks, I would say that this mask hydrates well and gives an immediate brightening glow to the skin after each treatment. I see an improvement in my dull and uneven skin tone. The brightening factor works better than its hydration factor, in this sheet mask.

The 5th ingredient is Triethanolamine which is a moderate hazard ingredient by Skin Deep . Triethanolamine can cause allergic reactions including eye problems, dryness of hair and skin, and could be toxic if absorbed into the body over a long period of time. It can cause itching, burning, scaling, hives, and blistering of skin, all symptoms which may increase with higher concentrations. (source)

Review : Clarins Eye Contour Gel

Clarins Eye Contour Gel ( new ) 20ml/0.7oz

Product Description
A cool translucent blue gel which eases puffiness and dark shadows by decongesting, soothing and toning around the eyes. A great stay-fast base for make-up too.

This daily treatment reduces puffiness, minimises dark circles and tones the eyelids. The ultra-fresh gel formula soothes eyes and its super-lightweight, non-oily formulation is suitable for even the most sensitive eyes

Serrated Palmetto: decongests, prevents swelling.
Wild Rose: drains, prevents puffiness.
Butcher's Broom: improves circulation, prevents dark circles.
Apricot: moisturises.
Rose Water Concentrate: softens

I received the 3ml sample as part of the Clarins mascara set sometime back. Surprisingly, the 3ml size lasted me for about a month with daily morning usage.
The blue gel is quite cooling and refreshing on the undereye area though it failed to reduce my undereye puffiness. I like that its super-lightweight and non-greasy, laving a fresh feeling after each application. Its quite fluid so its very easy to spread and get absorbed into the skin after some patting.
As with most of the eye treatment products used, I hardly see any results worth shouting. Disappointed once again.
It scored 3.1 from 76 reviewers on Makeupalley .

Review : Palgantong Theatrical Powder

Product Description
Theatrical powder from Korea is make up of Ceramin ingredient from UK. The size of particles is just half as the other particles. It reflects more light from your skin to even the tone with natural appearance. Thin and comfortable, brighten your skin just like Movie Star. So, it is also called “Star Powder” in Japan and Korea.

Helps in producing 4 outstanding effects - slimming, long lasting, super hydrating and blooming effects for the perfect look.

Palgantong Theatrical Powder is highly raved in Japan, Korea and Taiwan. It is especially popular with Korea stars. In Singapore, its very affordable and I bought mine from John Little during a promotion for just $13.44.

I only started on loose powder late last year, after using compact powder for years as I prefer coverage and good staying powder which I can't get it in loose powder. I don't like to touch up on a dirty face. Well, thats just me.
My first loose powder was from Everyday Minerals, which gave me the confidence to try out more drugstore loose powder. For me, pairing loose powder with BB cream is a fuss-free natural make-up look for work.

Initially, the name made me think of white powder used in opera and that scared me off because I hate thick make-up like what you see on some promoters in departmental stores. They have good skin, but always hidden behind that thick make-up. A guy friend of mine used to comment that they must have put their face right into a powder pan and went straight to work.
It comes in 2 shades - original beige and light beige so I got the original since I don't think I am as fair as Casper. Its only 10g but it can last me for several months and thats good enough for me. Apparently, there are more shades available in Sasa online .
There are 2 layers in the red container, one for the small soft puff and one contains the finely milled powder.
I started off with using the puff as its much more convenient but I do find it abit cakey and unnatural on the skin after application so I switched to using Ecotools Kabuki Brush.

The small puff is actually quite time-consuming as its too small for the face and so I had to spend time patting on the skin several times on different areas. And because I felt that the finishing has a cakey look which i dislike, I switched to using a brush which is much better, in my opinion.
In order to be less messy, I used the puff to get the powder on my face and I used the brush to spread it all around. Its fast and efficient for me, on a rushed morning.

Made in Korea, the texture of the powder is soft and its finely milled, as mentioned. However, as with most loose powder, it does not provide good coverage, though it does give a smooth effect with the appearance of  better skin to boot. The end result is a matt finish. However, it did not give me the natural look I am looking for. Everyday Minerals do a better job in that.

Slimming effect : none
Long lasting effect : not really
Super hydrating effect : abit
Smoothing effect : yes, with some oil control
Blooming effect : yes, similar to normal make-up

It scored 3.8 from 22 users on Makeupalley

Review : My Beauty Diary Red Vine Mask

2016 updated mask version

Product Description
My Beauty Diary Red Vine Mask whitens, tightens skin and fights against oxidization. It is ideal for all skin types, especially loose and dull skin.

Convergent skin and boost circulation: Anthocyans and tannins boost circulation and convergent skin, leaving skin white and tight with natural blush.
Amazing Nanospheres Technology: Structured with plenty of tiny holes, it enhances absorption of nourishment, leaving skin moisturized..

This review comes pretty late, isn't it? I have been procastinating about using them because I wasn't sure if they were fakes. The perils of buying too many masks of the same brand. After checking some sites, I decided mine should be the genuine version ( no dripping wet messiness, no heavy fragrance, no wide shape, with serial marking on each packaging ) and so I used both sheets I owned.

My pearl powder sheet masks were fake and I threw the whole box away. I bought them via a colleague's friend's blogshop. She told me her friend knows the distributor. Sigh.

At first, I felt funny about the name. Red vine. I wondered if it refers to red wine. And whether mine was a fake. Lol. No choice, there are just too many fakes around. I have to be careful what I put on my face.

It smells of red wine, of course but I did not quite like the strong scent of red wine though. This is the old packaging, so the texture of the sheet is slightly thicker than the newer version.
After 2 treatments, I do feel that this mask's performance is pretty medicore. I can find better performing ones in other flavours.

No radiance, glow, elasticity and firmness. Slightly hydrated skin immediately after treatment but it failed to last till the next morning. However, the mask did score 3.4 from 8 reviewers on Makeupalley

A friend passed this to me, as she felt it was useless to her. Frankly speaking, if not for the free sample, I would never thought of trying this cream. It just never occur to me to use it as a body moisturiser or anywhere else. In fact, where dryness or dehydration is concerned, I prefer to use my own preferred brands.

Even if those products did not help, there are too many brands out there for me to try, before I would even think of Ego QV Cream.

When I came back from the winter work trip, my hands and feet were very coarse. My finger pads were cracked, peeling and flaking very badly. I hated the feeling so much that I try to avoid as much touching as possible with my hands, because everything is just coarse.

According to QV, the skin is made up of layers of cells. The top layer forms a barrier that prevents moisture being lost and prevents allergens/irritants from getting in. When this top layer loses moisture, the skin becomes dry and flaky. It tends to crack, allowing irritants/allergens to enter and increasing the potential for irritation.

Since I always have some lotions or creams in my stash, I searched for the heaviest texture that I could find and my first choice was this QV cream as the shoutout on the box is "repair dry skin".
My confidence surged after reading the product description as it seems to be the ideal cream for my very coarse and dry hands and feet.

This QV cream is my life-savior all right. There is not much of a scent and the texture is a white thick cream with a greasiness undertone. On the first night, I applied on my feet, soles included and went to sleep with my socks. I see and feel a difference immediately the following morning. It was less dry and the lines on my soles were less obvious. And so I continue to use it on the feet and started applying it on my hands at night, before I sleep.

I started off with night application because the cream is very greasy and a sleep of 7 hours, without touching water is ideal for me, to see the effect. At work and at home, I tend to wash my hands frequently which defeat the purpose of using this cream.

As my hands and feet got better, I started to bring the cream around in my bag and used it in the day too. Even though I did not like the greasiness it left behind, but I still have to use it, because it works. It is such a relief that I have no more cracks and there is no coarse feeling on the hands and feet.

A great cream for those with perpetually dry skin! You can get it from Amazon or the local pharmacies.

Ego QV Cream ( 250g )
Ego QV Cream ( 500g )
Ego QV Cream ( 100g )

Glycerol 10% - An effective humectant with high moisture binding ability 5.
Light liquid paraffin 10% - Emollient oil which contributes to skin flexibility.
Soft white paraffin 5% - The most effective occludent and emollient for protecting dry skin and allowing it to hydrate again 2.
Dimethicone 350 3% - Facilitates skin suppleness.
Squalane - A component of human sebum. Squalane improves the suppleness and smoothness of the skin without feeling greasy 10. It also aids in preventing water loss from the skin's surface.
Methyl hydroxybenzoate 0.2% - As a Preservative.
Dichlorobenzyl alcohol 0.1% - As a Preservative.

The active ingredients in QV Cream are glycerol, light liquid paraffin and white soft paraffin. The light liquid paraffin and white soft paraffin belong to a group of medicines called emollients. Emollients form a film on the skin surface which slows down the loss of water from the skin. The glycerol acts as a humectant. Humectants increase the amount of water retained by the skin. Together, the light liquid paraffin, white soft paraffin and glycerol allow the skin to re-hydrate, making it soft and smooth. Dry skin may become itchy. Re-hydration of the skin will also relieve the itchiness due to dry skin, thus soothing the skin.

Ingredients
Aqua (water), paraffinum liquidum, glycerin, petrolatum, cetearyl alcohol, squalane, dimethicone, ceteth-20, glyceryl stearate SE, stearic acid, laureth-3, glyceryl stearate, methylparaben, dichlorobenzyl alcohol

Review : Clarins Instant Eye Make-up Remover

Clarins by Clarins: Instant Eye Make Up Remover--/4.2OZ

Product Description
A bi-phase formula which ensure it's as gentle as it is speedy and effective. Suitable for contact lens wearers and for sensitive eyes, it also conditions lashes.
A double phase formula to instantly remove all eye makeup, even heavy or waterproof. Does not sting even the most sensitive eyes or contact lens wearers. Dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested.

Active Ingredients
Lower Phase:
- Rose and Cornflower extracts: moisturize, soften and soothe.
Upper Phase:
-Ultrafine oils: soften, enhance effective makeup removal.

This 30ml trial size was part of a mascara set which I bought sometime back, while trying to utilize s $5 Tangs  voucher. I used to use eye make-up remover only during the days I applied eye make-up which is usually during the weekends only. However, I have learnt that its best to remove my concealer with a dedicated eye make-up remover which also meant that I used up my products pretty fast too.

This dual phase remover is pretty good, as it removes all my eye make-up effortlessly, without any tugging.
Just be reminded to shake well before use. My way of usage is to pour it on cotton pads and press and hold on my eye area for a few seconds before taking it off. That is for eyeliner removal. For normal eyeshadows, I just need to swipe it off with my cotton pads and everything came off. Nice!
Even though its dual-phase, it does not leave any oily film on the undereye area.
It scored 4.2/5  from 61 reviewers on Makeupalley and 6/10 from Total Beauty
In terms of ingredients, note that it contains Benzyl Alcohol with possibilities of allergies and toxicity and
Phenoxyethanol with possibility of allergy.

Ingredients
Cyclomethicone, Aqua/Water/Eau, Isohexadecane, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Water, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Disodium EDTA, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Tetrasodium EDTA, Glycerin, Potassium Sorbate, CI 42090/Blue 1.

Beachy Waves

1. Spritz with sea spray

To achieve the day-at-the-beach wind blown tresses, look for a salt-infused texturizing spray typically referred to as a "sea salt spray" or "beach spray", such as Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray. Simply spritz all over damp or dry hair, then coil 1-inch-wide sections around your fingers from the roots to the ends for a ropy texture.

2. Coil it up

If your hair is naturally wavy or curly, try this tip before bed: After blow-dry until about 90 percent dry, twist it up into a single coil and secure it on top of your head at night. The next morning, simply shake out your mane for instant waves.

3. Braid it for waves

If your hair tends to be flat and straight, coax beach waves with this trick: Before bedtime, wash and divide damp hair into four sections, then braid each section. When you wake up, unbraid, and spritz a mist of hairspray for extra hold.

Review : My Beauty Diary Southern France Apricot Mask

Product Description
My Beauty Diary Southern France Apricot Mask softens, smooths and highly moisturizes the skin.
Apricot extract from southern France provides excellent moisturizing effect. It quenches the thirst of skin, leaving dry skin keenly comfortable. The skin surface will be inscrutably velvety to the touch.
Added with extracts of highly moisturizing grain, such as oat, job's tears and hydrolyzed rice protein, it gives more in-depth nourishing and nursing effect to dry skin. The stratum corneum is fully soaked in moisturizing ingredients. It maintains skin’s suppleness, elasticity, fairness and clearness.
It is suitable for normal skin. It is especially recommended for dry skin and combination skin that tends towards dryness.

One of my good friends passed me 2 sheets of this flavour after she came back from her Taiwan trip. The same friend who gave me the bird nest mask. Actually, its a norm for us to give sheet masks as souvenirs from our Taiwan trips and make-up or masks from Korea trips. I love shopping for beauty products wherever I go. Its simply addictive.

I thought this name sounds pretty interesting. Don't you think so? It has a slight apricot scent. The texture is thin and adhere well to the skin, with a just enough cut-out for my lips area. Its very wet while kept in the packaging but no dripping mess when I took it out.

The mask description fits my skin type to a T as I have combination skin which is inclined towards dehydration at times. Its claims on softening, hydrating, suppleness and fairness are mostly achieved except for the fairness part. I believe it meant brightening which is not present on my skin after using 2 sheets.
But thats perfectly fine with me as I have other brightening masks to help me do that job. LOL.
My skin is definitely well-hydrated with a bounce. The pores on my nose seems more refined and the zit on my chin diminished slightly.
