Patches to wear at night while you sleep. Suitable for anyone who is concerned about the lack of hydration below the eyes and around the mouth. Deliver moisture deep into the horny layer all night. Eliminates fine lines caused by dry skin. Moisture until morning with high adhesion and supple fitting design.
I purchased a box of Kao Biore Tegotae Eye Mask from Dokodemo which reminded me vaguely of Morishita Ravis Overnight Eye Mask that did not work out for me, however, I am willing to take a chance with Kao, hoping that this may work better on me. Unfortunately, they weere still as bad.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
Kao Biore Tegotae Eye Mask comes in a pretty blue box with 8 pairs of individually packed overnight eye masks. Each pair of eye mask is dry with no fragrance but has a hint of the glue adhesive scent ( adhesive used as the backing ).
The light foamy-cushiony material is generous in size which covers a large undereye area. The adhesive backing ensures that it sticks well on the undereye area with no sliding movement so that you can sleep in peace.
How to use :
1) After washing your face, peel off the transparent film and apply it to the skin.
2) Touch it lightly to prevent air from entering between the skin and the pack.
3) Take a rest overnight with the patches attached and peel it off the next morning.
note : Although it is effective even for about 1 hour, it is more effective when used overnight (about 6-8 hours). Recommend daily use, especially when you feel dry.
Performance and Ingredients
Made in Japan, Kao Biore Tegotae Eye Mask is said to provide an intensive eye care overnight while sleeping for a moisturized and supple skin in the next morning. This comfortable gel eye pad is made of highly airtight gel pack with "moist packing formula", including succinic acid, and collagen, which intensely deliver moisture deep to skin surface underneath all night long and helps eliminates fine wrinkles due to drying.
The protective plastic backing of the eye patches were adhered to the inner packaging so that you can have the ease to pull out the eye patches for usage immediately. During layering, the eye patches were refreshing with a cooling sensation.
Unfortunately, there was random occasional itch on the skin and although it did not left my skin red but I didn't fancy the discomfort and having something on the undereye area for so many hours.
I have used up all 8 pairs, over twice a week or daily use but there was no effect at all. There was no difference with or without using these overnight eye masks. The adhesive backing is strong, hence when you remove it from the undereye area, there were some sticky remnants leftover which I have to use water to cleanse it else it would be sticky. There are also "markings" left over on the skin which would disappear after a short while.
That said, I didn't use them overnight, but only for 3 - 4 hours as having something constantly on the undereye area felt annoying and with the occasional itch, I just didn't see the need to follow through the whole night.

Conclusion
To conclude, Kao Biore Tegotae Eye Mask isn't a good fit for me and was a major disappointment. The occasional itch, the leftover adhesive stickiness as well as the patch markings weren't nice experiences and with no improvement to my undereye areas, I won't be repurchasing them.
