Its been said that air pollutants such as heavy metals, OM and gas pollutants such as SO2, NO2 or PAH can settle on the scalp and hair causing irritation and hair's cuticle damage.
These pollutants may migrate through the hair follicle, leading to oxidative stress, excessive sebum secretion. redness, itching, dandruff, oily scalp and hair loss hence in recent years, there have been a range of hair-pollution products in the market.
Made in Japan, ShinkoQ (シンコã‚ュウ) is a hair care brand, offering a range of anti-pollution hair products including shampoo, treatment, hair mist and hair oil.
The series features the brand’s original anti-pollution formula that protects the hair from air pollutants such as pollen, cigarette smoke and chemical substances and repairs damaged hair. It conditions hair and scalp, prevents external aggressors from adhering and washes them away gently. Each product is available with two scents (sweet bloom and aqua magnolia).
The product name derives from “shinkokyu”, which is Japanese for “deep breathing”. The minimalist packaging design for this product line aims to fulfil consumer demands and stand out on the market.
The bottle fronts do without the product name and instead feature only a yellow “slash”. This minimalist slash mark denotes something “prohibited” and thus symbolises the theme of anti-pollution, while it is also easy to remember and recognise even in small product images.

It helps to repair and protect hair from damage as well.
The gigantic 400ml shampoo is housed in a minimalistic pink bottle with a pump dispenser. Clear in colour, the shampoo has a sweet scent with a gel texture that lathers well.
Free from silicone, sulfate, ethanol, synthetic coloring, uv absorber, antioxidant and acrylic thickener, there are plenty of foams during massaging which may be great for those who enjoyed having lathering suds in their shampoo.
Overall, ShinkoQ Antipollution Shampoo Sweet Bloom left my hair clean, smooth and soft to the point that, it felt weighed down and flat at times. Because of that, I don't use Treatment Sweet Bloom together with the shampoo as there is no need to. Adding on, there was some hair fall occasionally.

The huge 400ml treatment came in the same bottle as that of the shampoo and one can't really tell each other apart unless you read the description at the back.
The white creamy treatment contents have a sweet scent like the shampoo, but stronger. It has a silicon-y texture that smoothens the hair and make it smoother and softer.
Free from mineral oil, ethanol, synthetic coloring, UV absorber, acrylic thickener, it helps to remove dirt from pollutants and provide moisture to hair.
Overall, ShinkoQ Antipollution Treatment Sweet Bloom left my hair smooth, soft and less drying and I don't use it often with the shampoo - only when its necessary like after a hair colouring job or when I think my hair needs some treatment love.
