Gallinee Face Vinegar Review
Product Description
Gallinée’s Face Vinegar acts like a toner. Once any unhealthy bacteria has been cleansed away, this purifies and eliminates dead skin cells that could inhibit the absorption of the extra ingredients and healthy bacteria about to be left on skin from serums and creams.

Loved by thousands for its multitasking properties, this patented toner brightens, smooths, hydrates and refines the look of pores – all without stripping skin. Packed with prebiotics to boost the skin’s barrier, the apple cider Face Vinegar is suitable for even the most sensitive skin.

After hearing so much about their highly raved toner, I was glad to receive a free 50ml size in my last Lovelula haul. Oil-free, perfume-free and free from soap, colourants, parabens, mineral oils, silicones, microbeads, phenoxyethanol or methylisothiazolinone, Gallinee Face Vinegar contains hibiscus-infused Apple Cider Vinegar and is made from 96% of natural origin ingredients.

With 2 patents, thousands of fans and billions of happy bacteria thanks to its prebiotics & postbiotics complex, this toner was on my to-try list.

100% made in France, Gallinee is the first beauty brand to care for the microbiome, from head to toe for strong, glowy and rebalanced skin all around! All their products are made to match the optimal pH of the skin and the microbiome.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

The 50ml sized I own, comes in a mini sized version of the full retail size. Clear in colour, Gallinee Face Vinegar has a mild vinegar scent like Apple Cider Vinegar.

Gallinee Face Vinegar Texture

It is very runny and lightweight in texture.

How To Use :
To be used morning and night, soak a cotton pad in the vinegar and swipe across cleansed skin, avoiding the eyes.

Performance and Ingredients

Ideal for oily and sensitive skin, the Face Vinegar purifies, brightens and tones without stripping skin. This high performance formula is powered by Actibiome, a new generation prebiotic that calms stressed skin and prevents further irritation. It works alongside gentle postbiotic acids that nurture the skin’s beneficial bacteria.

The secondary active ingredient is the Hibiscus-infused Apple Cider Vinegar, a 3-in-1 toning super-ingredient that brings a wealth of health benefits for your skin:

Purifies : It’s packed with astringent Acetic acid, that gently removes dirt and unhealthy bacteria, and with tannins, that have been proven to regulate sebum production.
Protects : Antioxidants contained in the vinegar help neutralise free radicals - the molecules that degrade skin cells and cause premature ageing and blemishes. Oxidative stress is reduced and skin is protected from external ageing factors.
Regenerates : Thanks to the gentle exfoliating properties of the AHA (alpha hydroxyacid), it stimulates skin cell renewal for a smoother, refined appearance. It also helps minimise the appearance of blemish scarring.

Gallinee Face Vinegar has a runny and lightweight texture that feels gentle on the skin yet it stings occasionally. Despite its watery texture, it leaves a slight tackiness on the skin after application that takes some time to absorb.

The face vinegar left my skin soft, smooth, refreshed, rejuvenated, clean and fresh. Pores looked smaller and more refined. However, it can get alittle drying, leaving subtle flakiness on both sides of my nose, hence a hydrating routine is much recommended.

That said, I didn't see any spectacular difference to skin, even after emptying the 50ml bottle.

Do note that Gallinee Face Vinegar contains AHA, in the form of Lactic Acid, hence it is best to avoid other exfoliating products while using this, and do remember to wear sunscreen in the day as AHAs may cause skin to be more sun-sensitive.

The key ingredients are.....

HIBISCUS APPLE CIDER VINEGAR : Known for its astringent, exfoliating and soothing properties.

ALGAE PREBIOTICS : A new generation ingredient powered by green and brown algae extracts, sea water and marine polysaccharides. Together they tackle signs of oxidative stress on the skin.

PREBIOTICS : A cocktail of ultra-gentle fibres and sugars that feed your skin’s good bacteria and help support the skin’s barrier, with an antibacterial action targeting the “bad” bacteria that can cause skin inflammation.

LACTIC ACID : The gentlest of AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids, mostly derived from natural sources and used in skincare for their exfoliating properties). Lactic acid helps to maintain skin’s optimal pH level and has hydrating and softening properties. Gallinée uses a slow-release form to suit even the most sensitive skin.

Conclusion

To conclude, Gallinee Face Vinegar left my skin soft, smooth, refreshed, rejuvenated, clean and fresh, with refined pores, however, the overall performance isn't stellar enough for me to repurchase it.
