Product Description
Dr. Ceuracle Pro Balance Biotics Clear Up Sun SPF50+ PA++++ is formulated with 6-Probiotics Complex to clarify, protect, balance and nourish skin. It combines physical and chemical filters for stronger UV protection and offers tone-correcting, oil-controlling and hydrating effects. It comes in a soft, creamy texture that soothes skin and leaves a non-sticky, non-greasy finish.
Sunscreen should be present in your skincare routine no matter what season, climate, or weather condition you're in. In fact, even if you don't have a skincare routine, you can always start with the basics — cleaning, moisturizing, and SPF, all of which are essential for maintaining one's skin health not only on a regular basis, but also in the long run.
All of the anti-aging products you use won't be able to make a difference if you don't protect your skin from sun damage.
I won Dr. Ceuracle Pro Balance Biotics Clear Up Sun SPF50+ PA++++ in an Instagram giveaway a while back and am very excited to try out a new sunscreen.
I prefer mineral/physical sunscreens but the white cast can be dreadful so a hybrid sunscreen ( a combination of physical + chemical filters ) may be the next best thing hence I have been looking around to try more hybrid sunscreens of late.
Established in 2000, LJH Cosmetics has since rebranded itself as Dr. Ceuracle. The brand’s new name combines the words “cosmeceutical” and “miracle” to emphasize the efficacy of its wide range of products. Dr. Ceuracle’s motto "Curing Skin, Caring Beauty” highlights its balanced use of natural ingredients, dermatological knowledge and technology to solve skin concerns and enhance beauty.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
Dr. Ceuracle Pro Balance Biotics Clear Up Sun SPF50+ PA++++ is a 50ml tube sunscreen that makes dispensing the sunscreen effortlessly easy with its structure and hole in the center. White and creamy in texture with a subtle greasy base, it has a medicated scent with a subtle cooling sensation.
It was a thoughtful touch to include a space on the back to write the open date of the sunscreen, which I appreciate because I usually use a marker to write a date on the packaging or write it on a white sticker and stick it on the back.
How To Use :
After the final step of your skincare routine, apply an appropriate amount to face and body before sun exposure.
Performance and Ingredients
Dr. Ceuracle Pro Balance Biotics Clear Up Sun SPF50+ PA++++ is a physical & chemical combination sunscreen that gives powerful sun protection with its SPF50+ PA++++ broad spectrum. The inclusion of 6-Probiotics Complex helps boost skin immunity and re-balance skin condition for healthy skin where it offers natural tone correction for clear and bright skin and leave a fresh, mask-proof finish without stickiness or greasiness.
This is my very first probiotic sunscreen and even though I have not tried many probiotic skincare products, research study has demonstrated them to be pretty promising so its definitely intriguing.
I like its white and creamy texture which makes application easy to massage into skin leaving the white cast to a minimal one but its still not suitable for someone with a darker tone. There was a slight greasy base yet can be drying, emphasizing dry patches/flakes on skin.
The creamy sunscreen dries down to a velvety finish with a hint of shine on skin and on regular days without makeup, I can get away with just using the sunscreen however, on make-up days, the dry patches around the edges of nose can be pretty obvious.
This drying after-feel can also be felt on the palms after application, so its not for those with dry or dehydrated skin.
I like to use Dr. Ceuracle Pro Balance Biotics Clear Up Sun SPF50+ PA++++ during my work-out days in the evening, when I go for a run. It works well for both face and body but I prefer to use it for the arms/body as its so easy to depress the tube and the contents just ooze out from the dispenser for an effortless easy amount that was a breeze to just massage in. Some dispenser holes can be so tiny but this was just right and I saved much time on that.
Do cut the tube when you can't depress it anymore as you can still get another 3 - 4 days' worth of contents.
With an SPF of 50 PA++++, this sunscreen helps to protect against UVA and UVB rays. An SPF 50 product protects you from 98 percent of UVB "burning" rays that penetrate your skin, while PA++++ offers extremely high UVA protection. Definitely ideal for Singapore's humid climate, which has summer conditions all year.
The key ingredients in Dr. Ceuracle Pro Balance Biotics Clear Up Sun SPF50+ PA++++ are....
6 Probiotics Complex : Boosts immunity capable of killing germs that contribute to infections and inflammation.
( Namely,
Bifida Ferment Filtrate & Bifida Ferment Lysate : Clarifying care
Lactococcus Ferment Lysate : Protecting Care
Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate & Lactobacillus Ferment : Balancing Care
Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate : Nourishing Care )
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) : Helps improve uneven skin tone and brighten dull-looking skin.
Glutathione : Softening skin texture and provides vitality to skin
Milk Lipids : Long lasting hydration and provides intensive nutrition
L-Theanine : Soothing and skin restoration benefits
The sunscreen filters are....
12% Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide : Physical UV blocking ingredients
As a mineral-based sunscreen active ingredient, zinc oxide reflects light off the surface of the skin where the sunscreen is applied back into the environment, much like a mirror.
Zinc oxide can be ‘micronized,’ meaning it’s processed into very small particles, so small that the preparation appears clear when applied on the skin. Non-micronized formulations are often less cosmetically elegant and are more opaque or white. So, if you’ve ever applied a sunscreen that left a white, powdery cast on your body, it most likely contained zinc oxide as a key ingredient.
Zinc oxide isn’t the only sunscreen ingredient used to block harmful UVA and UVB rays. Many sunscreens contain an ingredient called Titanium Dioxide, which, like Zinc Oxide, is typically found in mineral sunscreens. It’s also considered safe since it does not penetrate the skin and offers broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays.
Both Zinc Oxide and Titanium Oxide have been shown to be non-toxic when used on the skin and to not break down when exposed to the sun, which is vital. ( source )

Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate : A new generation, chemical sunscreen agent that's designed for high UVA protection and high photostability. It gives sun protection in the whole UVA range (320-400 nm) with peak protection at 354nm.
Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine : One of the best sunscreen agents known today. It is a broad-spectrum (covers the whole UVB and UVA range, 280-400 nm) chemical sunscreen agent with peak protections at about 310 and 345 nm and unlike older UV filters, it's very photostable. It hardly deteriorates in the presence of UV light and it's also useful in stabilizing other less stable sunscreen agents, like the famous UVA protector, avobenzone.
Ethylhexyl Triazone : A new generation, chemical sunscreen that gives the highest photo-stable absorption of all available UVB filters today. It protects in the UVB range (280-320nm) with a peak protection of 314nm. It is an oil soluble, odorless, colorless powder that works well in fragrance-free formulas.
Conclusion
To conclude, Dr. Ceuracle Pro Balance Biotics Clear Up Sun SPF50+ PA++++ is a thick creamy sunscreen that dries down to a velvety finish with a hint of shine on skin. It is drying and can emphasize dry patches and has an immediate white cast that requires some massaging to be reduced to a minimal one.
I prefer to use this on face and body for evening runs where you don't have to worry about white cast and dry patches.
